He wasn't arrsted for overstaying, he was arrested because "officers were acting on complaints from local residents that a foreigner claiming to be an influential person from Nigeria was asking for free food and accommodation"

U can over over over stay in any fckkng country as long as u behave urself and not attract unnecessary useless attention to yourself

Fun fact.Of the fifteen countries in Ecowas, only Nigeria and Sierra Leone need a visa to Thailand.

Another fun fact (or a sad fact). Suppose you remove all the countries in the Ecowas region from the Nigeria visa-free entry list. In that case, Nigerians are probably locked and have no place to visit without a visa.

Even in countries where Nigerians do not need a visa (eg Barbados, Iran, etc), Nigerians will still deal with the problem of a transit visa, and be sure that countries will hardly grant it, due to the fear of applying for asylum when you are in transit in their territory (e.g The UK or US if you want to transit through London to Bridgetown, Barbados).

Based on UN laws concerning the treatment of refugees, they must accept your application, and give you VIP treatment until your case is handled, and for that reason, countries do not grant transit visas, for fear of asylum seekers using it as a route.

So if you think of Nigeria as a giant prison with over 200M inmates, you probably will be right.

He will end up in the Bangkok Hilton. And believe me it's not a hotel but one of the most notorious prisons in Thailand, where you would be put in a monkey cage for 3 days if you misbehave. Go read the book " damage done" by Warren Fellows. He will wish he was in Nigeria quick quick 😂.
