I get your points, but tactics matter a lot, give some coaches the best players in the world, and they will still fail woefully.
Forget tactics if you can't win 1vs1, put passes together and your opponent can outrun you

Finidi has no business in coaching. He looks pitiable on the sideline. If we are serious about going to the World Cup, he should be sacked first thing tomorrow irrespective of the outcome of the match. His team team selection and tactics are both disastrous.

Our players are overrated . We managed to beat South africa at the African Cup of nations via penalty. Today they are dictating the game . This is where I.miss osimen . The determination of osimen always make the difference . Wr are playing as if us a friendly game . We can aswell kiss goodbye to the world Cup. South africa is more serious
Our team is not over rated oh, it is the coach that is using the wrong tactics and wrong starting eleven.

Findi saw how south Africa struggles against teams that get in their faces in the nations cup and decided to start the slowest striker in camp in Onachu.

If South Africa team deals with pressure, they will fold.

You are right that it seems our team is playing friendly game, they are more concerned about losing the ball than forcing the issue.

Finidi should not be handling that team at this crucial stage, Amunike, with is experience might be able to grind out the results.

Well, the South Africans have a very potent league, very beautiful to watch by African standard. They also have a team in Sundowns that is among the top 5 on the continent, but the ours rarely make it past the group stages of all African competitions, even our league is an eyesore.

Shut up there.

The Nigerian league has improved vastly. You wouldn’t know because all you know is EPL.

SA team has better coordination, it takes a lot of training to achieve such level.
That is the problem. Those guys started training well ahead of time for this match. Finidi for whatever reason chose to select players that were late leaving those who have been in camp from Sunday. I hope he gets away with this.

Amunike is the right Man

I don't know what really qualifies Finidi for this job.

Amunike has proven himself with U23 and U20.

This NFF won't just get it right.

Who is this tall striker when Boniface dey bench.

Who is this FRB wey just dey overlap forgetting somebody dey him back.

Finidi is still a leaner and not qualified for this job.

We will have to beg nwabali to stop kicking the ball in ....beg the center backs to get on the ball and play out with iwobi and ndidi...we stand a chance but this people need to put the attack in business...then we can again beg them to stop letting the SA attackers run behind them ....and the midfielders should stop leaving pockets of space everywhere for the SA players to drift in...
We played with onachu but even as much as in know he is a foolish player we aren't playing to his strength...we are only joking

The attack is trying to connect but missing the final pass ...also missing that point man than can do the inbox one touch well ...who is that player ...it's "Boniface" not onachu a rigid box striker...

I don't know how you people watch or judge football. This is his first game and these players only trained together yesterday. Even you don't like Finidi, you should not judge him with his first game. The way Una dey take dey serious for just soccer, if una put that effort for politics, Tinubu should have stepped down by now.
so when should we judge him?
You think this is a friendly match or what?
No excuse for failing!!

JUST SHUT UP.

He should be sacked first thing tomorrow because he’s a black Nigerian, abi?

Stupid slave.

If that was a white coach from Division 8 you would never say that.

You would at the very least wait for the game to conclude.

Slave idiot.

because NLC told them not to try it
Look at how Cape Verde played them.

They quickly switched play from left to right to isolate their skillful players against their defenders.

South Africa were very lucky to beat cape verde.

Nididi has decent long passes, he should play deeper and iwobi should be removed for Oyeka who is more battle ready.

Onachu should make way for a Boniface.

I am not sure ihenaco is direct enough.

grin grin grin grin grin.
Oponu ni finding.

Tell me the impact onachu made in nations cup. Whenever they remove Oshimen, the guy can not control ball in nation's cup.

He left Boniface on bench. This man is not well. What is ihenacho doing. I could see that defenceman were afraid to pass ball to midfield.
