Hello everyone , I'm a silent reader of this forum and i want to appreciate everyone for the great information's shared on this platform.
I applied on the 23rd of May and i didnt receive any application received confirmation email from the UKVI.
When i tracked in the TLS ..It states that my application has been transferred to the DMC.
I know ideally, it usually takes 15 days for the decision to be made but i am worried and i am currently on the 10th day .

Should i email the UKVI or give them a paid call?

Also i declared a past visa denial from Canada last year and i attached a letter of explanation of why i was rejected and decided not to re apply to Canada. Most people i have seen got thier visas in less than 10 days.. I am just worried. cry cry

Calm down! If you have waited for less than the stipulated 15 days, then you need to be patient and just wait with a positive mindset.

It doesn't matter.

Even entire community can sponsor one person if they so wish

If you're spending ₦2m and each if her kids decide to out in ₦500k, nothing bad in that

Yes, the whole Nigeria can sponsor one person. The question is: which option will be simpler and cause less confusion?

The processing time for a standard visitor application is 3 weeks, and this is just an estimated time because some applicants get it within a few days after submission and some wait longer than the estimated 3 weeks.

Anyway, you should have paid for priority service since you're so impatient to wait for UKVI to decide on your application.

Some guys only have Coke money, but they are hungry for champagne.

You don't have to be so rude and nasty. How much money do you have in your bank account? The insult was not necessary. This person is worried and just needs to be reassured that all is well. Be kind to people! It does not cost you anything!

Sorry oh, but how can someone be worried when the stated processing lead time of 15 days hasn’t elapsed yet? Moreover this is peak summer period, lots of people are applying. Can’t use the same timeline as others than applied earlier. I’ll understand the worry if it’s delayed, but right now UKVI are keeping to the agreement. Some people give themselves high BP for nothing. What will this person say if they were waiting for Canada PR a few years ago Dem go just kpeme with anxiety

Please what does primetime appointment mean on the TLS site when trying to select a biometrics date?

It means you will have to pay 77k to book an appointment, which gives you flexibility in your appointment time. I think it is cheaper than the other option, i.e., premium lounge, which costs 99k.

Good morning house. Pls I need your advise.
I want to apply for uk visa . I went to Ghana 4 years ago but by road and I've Renewed my passport amd can't find the other one. I do business and use my personal account for it and it's well funded. I'm married with 3 children. I also have a joint account with my mom which a treasury bill of 20m for 3 months
My questions are: can I apply with just my personal act as my business isn't registered.?
Should I state I've been to ghana since I can't find the stamped passport?
I have a south Africa evisa, can I include it also well but I didn't make the south Africa trip.
Pls your input is needed my gurus

Good morning, guys. I am having a dilemma, and I need URGENT advice, please.

My trip is in a few days, and I have already booked a hotel room for my entire stay. I haven't paid yet; I will be paying at the property. I informed my friend that I will be visiting, and he suggested I come stay at his place, which is a few hours away from London. The plan is for me to spend just a few nights in my London hotel and spend the rest of my trip at his house.

My issue is I did not mention this friend on my application because I was not planning on staying with him. I fully intended to stay in the hotel, but his offer came up, and I thought it might be nice to spend some time with him.

I am thinking of changing my hotel booking to just the first few days, but I am worried that if I show up at Heathrow will a hotel reservation that doesn't cover the whole trip, it might pose an issue with Border officials.

The most important thing to me is to not get harassed or bothered at the point of entry. But I also don't want to have to pay for a hotel when I have an offer to stay with somebody for free.

How can I navigate this? Please advise. Thanks.

Another option is to book a 2nd hotel to cover remaining days either in another area of same city or a nearby city as part of your planned activity. After gaining admittance, you can then cancel that 2nd booking leveraging on the days at the first hotel.

I mean the days at the first hotel will give you sometime before you are billed for the 2nd hotel. You just have to ensure you book a 2nd hotel with free cancellation at a time you have already gained entry.

UK does not reckon with trips to African Countries.I do business and use my personal account for it and it's well funded. [/b]You need to seperate your business and personal account..[/b]I'm married with 3 children. Your spouse and children can serve as your ties to Nigeria. I also have a joint account with my mom which a treasury bill of 20m for 3 months.. If your Mum's name is on the Treasury Bills, you need to get her written consent that you can use the funds
My questions are: can I apply with just my personal act as my business isn't registered.? I would not advise you to do that.. If possible, stop using the account for any business related transaction for about 6 months so that you can use the account for your visa.
Should I state I've been to ghana since I can't find the stamped passport? You can state it but it doesn't carry much weight
I have a south Africa evisa, can I include it also well but I didn't make the south Africa trip. If you didn't use the visa, no point stating it. You are asked which Countries you have travelled to. Not which Countries you got visa from.
Pls your input is needed my gurus

1. i admit the question is a bit confusing. When my children were Minors, I would put the total budget for each child. In your case, put the total budget for her in Pounds (not Dollars)

2. The field will not accept zero so put like 10 pounds.
It was my intention to help the woman submit a visa application for herself and her daughter together, but due to her bank statement, I ultimately only applied for the woman. Her visa was approved.

I now wish to assist her in submitting her daughter's visa application. Should I submit her daughter's application using the same paperwork as I did for the woman?

Also, what other documents should I include in the visa application. Her daughter is about 4 years old.

Yes, except that the child will not have a statement of account. So, add her mother's statement of account as her sponsor.

Thank you ma.

- Bank statements (Mom and dad)
- Employment letters (Mom and dad)
- Parents’ marriage license
- The child birth certificate
- Family photos
- visa (copy of her mom current UK visa)
- Visa (copy of her dad expired UK visa)
- Letters (Letters from both dad and mom)

Apart from the visitor visa application, do I need to fill out any other form or supporting documents for a child’s visitor visa application?

Above documents are what I plan to include in the child’s visa application.

Her mom's travel date has been rescheduled from July 2 to July 26; therefore, I can’t use that same hotel reservation for the daughter’s application. Is it necessary for me to book a new hotel reservation, or should I not?

Please, am I missing anything?

If the child is travelling with only her Mother, she doesn't need all the documents listed.
1. Birth Certificate
2. data page of Mother's passport
3. Mother's statement of account
4. Sponsorship letter from Mother (not compulsory)
5. Evidence of schooling in Nigeria (report card, letter from school etc)
6. Parent's marriage certificate (not compulsory)
7. Copy of Mother's visa

Just fill the usual online form, pay and get a date. Same process.

Fill the form carefully. They might wonder why the child did not apply with her Mother. I have seen a case where the child was denied because of that (because the Mother earlier stated in her own form that she will travel alone).

So, fill the form carefully and maybe add a cover letter to explain why the child is now travelling with her Mother - as the Mother didn't state that earlier in her own application. They are extremely thorough when assessing a minor's application so you must be extremely thorough when you fill the child's form.

Good luck!

You both have a good travel history and nice profiles - the 10 years Canadian visa is a good one in a passport.

Frankly, in my opinion, you don't need a letter of invitation. You can decide to go to UK without anyone inviting you, more so even when you've built a travel record (past travels and current visas). In your cover letter mention you want to go on holiday - sight see, relax etc. Put up an itinerary of places you wanna visit and things you wanna do in those 10 days.

In your form they'd ask if you have a relative in the UK- put you have a sister . They'd ask -Are you planning to stay with her? i would advice you put no (you already said you want to book accom anyways). Like you, I also have relatives in UK; but for the sake of the visa form, i don't say I'm staying with anyone - to make my visa processing as simple as possible. For accommodation, i use www.booking.com to book a hotel (i get one with free cancellation. Look out for the big name hotels: Marriot, Ibis, IHG etc. they usually offer free cancellation).

In my opinion, You don't need to mention anything about visiting your sister. The visa form doesn't ask who you're visiting. It only asks if you have relatives, and if you will be staying with them. Keep it simple and stick with you're going on holiday (as you said already, visiting your sis is not the primary reason).

You don't need an agent, except you wan dash person money. I've been travelling to the UK since i was a kid, my parents worked on our visa applications back then - no agent required. When i became an adult - i worked on mine by myself - both student visa application and visiting applications. I didn't need to use an agent. My point is - You can do it yourself. Just ensure you've read the guidelines well, to be sure you've checked all the required boxes and added the right supporting docs. You and hubby ain't new to visa applications, so you'd be fine.

You both stand high chances of receiving a visa based off your past travel history and the current Canadian visa in you passport.

As to where to start from, here's the link that takes you to the application form and the guidelines https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor/apply-standard-visitor-visa. Read to the end so you can get to the part where it mentions supporting docs and info you'll need. Also attach copies of past visas and current visa obtained to show travel record.

All the best!

Thank you so much for this. Don't know how to reply a comment so I clicked on "quote". I really appreciate. Now here is where I have another question.
My husband runs his business and he's the one funding our trip completely. I was initially of the opinion that his business account and his personal account statement will be sufficient. But a lady told me I will need to add mine. Is this necessary? I am not funding this trip in any way. She said the UK dosent like it when the woman is completely dependent on the man. I don't know what she means by that because when we applied for our Canadian visiting visa I did not include my bank statement, only my hubby did. She told me that UK is different from Canada.
Now, I'm a fashion designer. She is saying that if I say I'm a fashion designer, I need to include my business account and my personal account as well. But why is this important when I'm not the sponsor? When I told her, she said I should say I'm a housewife instead and still use my personal account that shows my hubby sends me money. It's all confusing. One of Hubby's personal account shows 15m balance and that's the one we are using plus corporate account that shows ten times that amount. Why do I need to still present my account. I no wan spoil show.

Hubby has been to the UK 5 times as a child. On every summer holiday between 2001-2010 he travelled to the UK and I was lucky to find his passport as a child with all the UK visas. Should I include this in the application?

Also, do I say hubby is "employed" or "self employed"? It's a famiiy business owned by his dad. Hes the first son and he's a director and his name is on the list of directors which is verifiable online. He also manages 3 branches. The same lady told me I shouldn't say employed, I should say self employed with the CAC and the company documents that includes his name. She said if we say employed, then we have to get letter from employer, we also have to use his salary account which shows monthly deposit from the company and pay slip. This wouldn't have been a problem but his salary account dosent even have the required balance for this trip. Cos once it enters, he moves it out of there to another account, and he also receives extra income from side deals on the account we plan to use. So should I say self employed? What do you say when you work in your dad's company as a director? For our Canadian visa application, he said employed, he presented a pay slip and used a personal account not salary account and we still got the visa. But this lady told me UK is very meticulous with numbers and figures and money so...

I really want to get tbis right because I must go for summer holiday o. My hubby left everything to me since I told him I don't need an agent. He said no problem I should just ask him for documents and he'll provide. Now, I'm jittery.

God bless you so much for your assistance.
