Strayed animals used to come before until I fixed a gate on the property. The first were four silly goats and then the notorious herders.

He cut enough maize to feed himself for the day.

My compound has a gate that's always on lock and keys. But there is hole under the gate where most stray animals come in from. What do you advice can be done about it?

Followed the thread to this page I must commend your efforts.
First of all if you want to plants the stuff you mentioned on your Post for these moulds I will advice you to either reduce them { plant yam and cocoyam} or make the moulds very big.
Cause if you plant yam, cocoyam, cassava for for one moulds it won't do very well.
I will just advice you buy the yam seedlings you can afford plant them together with cocoyam in the same mould then plant cassava separate in the remaining moulds.
You don't plant cassava when the yam hasn't started springing up, cause if you do it will disturb their growth, cause the cassava will first the yam to grow and the yam won't be able to compete with the cassava for nutrients and space.

African stores here sell pretty much every kind of African food, except that they are expensive.

You could plant multiple seedlings at once and prevent obstructions. My own case yam, maize, potatoes, ugu, okra and cassava will all be planted on each mould

Water yam is softer and lighter than white yam and has lesser starch. Also, white yam is more in demand and sweeter and more preferable for poundo and also more expensive. Apart from this, no much noticeable difference.

The heap or how loamyis the soil (and rich in the right nutrients, of course) goes along way to determine the size of your harvest.

Pls do not go for d loan aspect. Using loan to start business is a no go area sir. Loan should be out of it for now bcs u are starting.
