xcitedjay:Let us analyze each item individually. 1. Honda has had a lot of first model years and this not by any means the worst of them. A lot of people here own first model year accords and I don't see them crying. I don't see how that makes it expensive to maintain. 2. This is the only valid point I see here. That is because of the notorious VCM technology. But there's a way to disable the VCM and have a normal V6 engine. In my opinion, Honda V6 are more durable than their 4cyl. 3. Cost is a relative term. A lot of engines are more expensive than that engine. Even a Toyota 2az is more expensive if I'm not mistaken. 4. Big power big fuel. This applies to every single car brand and model out there. Everybody knows v60 takes more fuel. That is no longer news. But that is not the way Nigerians make it look. All he needs do is make sure that the engine is in good condition. Do more research on this. 5. Cost is a relative term. 6. This is actually silly. 7. To me, it doesn't. Some cars are just more expensive than others. It is a normal thing. |

Hello guys. There's this annoying little thump I hear around my transmission when I brake fully to the first gear. All my engine mounts are intact. When I first got this car, I topped up the gear fluid with total mlvl. Gear selects fine, no erratic shifting, but this thump is very annoying. some people might overlook it, but I just cannot. if I brake slowly, or let the car coast before braking, it is non existent. What is the cause and solution? Car is an honda accord 2009, European Spec. 2.0L Ecm pcm relay circuit open Is the only code.. |

Hello Good evening Have you seen this code before P2649 on a 2006 honda accord V6 and how did you deal with it please Macmilla: |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Macmilla(m): 11:48am On May 11 |
OmobaDe10th:No I haven't. But Google says it's mainly an electrical fault. Make sure your oil is in other, though. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Collione: 7:22pm On May 11 |
Macmilla: It's your rocker arm control solenoid. The wiring may be damaged. Let your mechanic or rewire check the wiring around this particular part. Check online to see what it looks like for your vehicle and where it's located |

Hello everyone, My Honda Accord 2010 is showing P0135. I replaced the O2 sensor with a brand new O2 sensor, still the code is still showing and my fuel consumption seems worse than before. Also my RPM is high. What can I do? |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by kelvinmnet(m): 8:37pm On May 12 |
XPaul: High RPM can also cause increase in consumption. Is your Catalyst intact? Did you test the old o2 sensor with a multimeter? |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by XPaul: 12:32am On May 13 |
kelvinmnet: Catalyst is not intact. I did a cheap catalyst last year and I guess it has gone bad. Yes, I test the old O2 sensor. The connector was bad. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by kelvinmnet(m): 9:29am On May 13 |
XPaul: The error code can also be caused as a result of the catalyst not being Intact. Try fixing the catalyst and clear the error code then try again. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by alaricsaltzman: 9:41am On May 13 |
Hello house, please I need help with a nagging issue. My Honda CRV 2010 has a P0303 error that has refused to disappear for months. I've switched and replaced the plugs, coil and fuel injector (nozzle). Once I clear the error code, the car returns to normal and fires well for a few days after which the code returns, causing the car to jerk and rough acceleration. Please what could be the issue so I can resolve it once and for all? cc: kingreign, luvinhubby, jceesquare |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by freeman500: 6:53pm On May 13 |
oladele239:I have brand new ₦15k isn't bad. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by jceesquare(m): 8:32pm On May 13 |
alaricsaltzman:We spoke on phone already. But for the sake of others reading, I'd check the electrical (circuit) side of the ignition, and injection system if the code still stays on cylinder 3 after swapping coils, plugs and injectors. The tricky side to the remote diagnosis is the car running fine after clearing code and returning back with same issue later on. 3 Likes |

Conner44:its been a while boss. Its been over 1 year I have been using the civic and I'm enjoying the car, its fun too drive, very fast acceleration, it's actually a beast on the road... my major problem is getting the actual part for the car, as the part used in this civic spec is not readily available in Nigeria, the parts are totally different from the regular civic of the same year.. The engin and gear is in good condition as I often paid attention too the dashboard light and repair accordingly |

But if I fire speed wella maybe when travelling, the car drinks fuel too very much... but on normal speed/driving the fuel is very economical 1 Like |

Deenlove: That's the tie rod ends, makes noise if bad Your concern should be the unmarked ball joint below, depending on when last it was changed, I advice you change it once in a year & look for good Taiwan made ball joint |
