Good morning everyone.

I have an issue with my Honda Accord 2010.

Recently a rewire worked on my AC and even since then my engine shakes aggressively whenever I put on the AC and the car is in traffic. If I am driving, it drives smoothly but once I enter traffic and the AC is on, it shakes very aggressively that I have to put it off. The RPM drops to almost zero

It appears that the AC is drawing too much power from the engine.

Now they are saying I should bring 41k to change the AC panel and the fuse box to rectify the issue.

Please has anyone experienced something similar before and how was it resolved.

I have changed the engine mounts. When the AC is not on, the engine doesn’t shake. So I don’t think it is the engine mount

Get that same electrician to undo whatever he did on the AC it’s very important (be very stern) … he was obviously a quack.. now what made you work on the AC in the first place

Hello, so for me, I think the Ac compressor is too heavy for your engine or the engine is weak and can't carry the AC compressor. However, accords in this year range uses a manual compressor and this is a sign of manual compressor.
So, you may need to check the compressor used and sure it's the one for your car.
I use an 07 accord and whenever I turn on my Ac, you can feel the effect of the compressor on the engine

My Honda Accord Exl 09 drags when accelerating. It takes like 60 seconds or more before hitting a considerable speed. What could be the cause?

The two front legs wobbles also before catching a top speed.

For the drag, scan for drivetrain related codes, check to see if brakes are binding.
For the wobble, take it to your mechanic to inspect the tyres, upper and lower arm bushings, ball joints (including tierods), and hub bearing.

I did the ball joints , bushings and the hub 2 weeks ago. I will definitely do the scanning. Thanks

The bolded are some but not all that needs to be checked for the wobble from my previous reply.
Take it to a computerized alignment shop to have the wheels checked.

Hello people. I drive a 2006 Honda accord 4 plug. The transmission suddenly rev high then forcefully shift from gear 1 to 2nd gear with a loud sound. When stuck in traffic it won't move until i off the engine remove the key then start the vehicle again. Once it moves to 2nd gear , every other gear select smoothly. The check engine lights stays on when the slipping occurs. Note prior to this , no check engine. The D also blinks. Have scanned the vehicle. Here is the P1734, P0780. The oil is wine in color. I serviced the transmission with original Dw1 last 2years cus i rarely drive the car.

Good day everyone.
I am currently having a problem with honda accord 2004 v4 engine that I just bought as Naija used.

The car jerks violently when i accelerate and it reaches around 60 to 70km/hr

I have serviced the nozzle, injector
, changed fuel pump, serviced the Map sensor..still no solution.
Infact, once i reach speeds btw 60 to 70km/hr..it jerks violently that i have to take my leg off acceleration. Once i don't drive above that speed, it runs fine.

I don't know what else to do.
My mechanic said he has ran out of ideas.
Infact when i read online that the Map sensor can cause it....my mechanic when to test different map sensors, he said they map sensor in the car works better than all the ones they tested from the seller.

Another point is that the Rev is fine on idle..it can rev very above 5000rev.

I don't know what other sensor to check

The importance of running scan on a morden car has been over flogged on this platform.
You as a matter of urgency needs to replace your mechanic ASAP and get a competent one like 07089030689 to diagnose and fix your car

I have experienced this in the past. Your rewire needs to check the IVtech sensor at the back of the engine, left hand side. It might be clogged or needs replacement

Hi Everyone,

I have 2 issues with my Honda Accord 2005 V6 model.

Firstly, there is a sharp thud and delay in engaging the reverse position on the gear.

This mostly occurs after the car is parked for 6-12 hours. Even though I allow the engine warm up before engaging the gears.

Lately, I noticed the delayed response in gear shift while in motion too. Besides this, the engine runs smoothly.

Check engine light is on but the code displayed by the machine is for 02 sensor (Rear).

Infact, the mechanic removed 2 switches on the transmission case which he cleaned and there was some respite for some days before this current wave.

Secondly, the car central lock is misbehaving, as long as the car is running, the locks activate leaving only the front passenger door.
The remote door knob doesn't activate all the lock fully upon pressing it.

What else can I do?

I need Honda Accord air fuel ratio sensor for 2007.

Challenge:

I saw some, but when scanned, it doesn't read well.

Even when the seller tried to convince me that it is working, scanning the vehicle after installation reveals that the sensor is not good.

I need a good one please. See the attached picture for the exact sensor I am looking for.
Thank you.

PS, I am not looking for a regular oxygen sensor please.

That IVtech sensor has been checked and cleaned twice now. No improvement.
The option now is to take it to ibadan tomorrow and conduct extensive scan. We ll see if we can replace it and check again.
Whether its map sensor or IVtech sensor
