OBJ and Atiku started fighting when the issue of third term came up. They were best food friends for almost 7 years and he was in control of the government for almost 5 years, as OBJ was traveling from one country to the other leaving Atiku to take charge of the government. The governors were principally under him then and that was why OBJ almost not getting his second term ticket because Atiku them controls all the macenery of government. Some yesterday children and some people with low IQ might have forgotten this.
If Atiku had been reckless like Tinubu, Tinubu wouldn't have survived his second term in office. Atiku really tried for him but some of you want to turn logic upside down.

As a potential presidential candidate after OBJ terms expiration, Atiku was only helping himself. Politicians are transactional.
And coming out to brag about saving someone from being removed through the might of the FG and not the ballot in a supposed democracy shows that our leaders are false democrats at heart.

You can say that again. My love for Nigeria is indescribable but I'm sad with what I'm seeing today. The majority of those tribalists here on NL have not done half of what I had done for my people in donations through my partners in Lagos alone. I don't have to mention one. Unfortunately, this generation of youths are so glued to sentiments which always inform their weird decisions 99% of the time, which would later haunt them in life. Presently I'm in America for another batch of donations to the less privileged in the society, especially in Lagos where I belong. There's one of our partners who is into sports, grooming young Nigerians across tribal lines on how they'd find their place at the global stage , through scholarships and all.

But I chose not to support this man called Tinubu for a lot of reasons. Those living here, who used to be his supporters are so disappointed right now but I told them last year during my visit that it's not enough to rely on propaganda. They need to come and see things themselves at home. Had either fashola, ambode or even osinbajo contested, I'd have supported him with my might and main. The moment I realised this man wanted to get there both by hook and crook, I decided to back off and then I suddenly became an omo ale to the tribal bigots who share in his fake ideology...Tinubu knows the number of his children, wondering how I can be an omo ale by not supporting him. Democracy is a choice but not in Nigeria.

Yoruba would say, ęję ka tibi ishana kiye soogun(which literally means, we should observe the efficacy of a charm by just imagining how the matches ignite, when you strike it) . You said you're Mr magic who built Lagos yet you lost in same Lagos. The 2023 election ought to have been a means of reciprocating your kind gesture in Lagos if you truly deserved our votes. Instead, you started intimidating people with your thugs cos they didnt vote you. Some myopic minds said he lost in lagos cos of the Muslim Muslim ticket however, in alimosho, the largest local government in Nigeria by population and where yorubas constitute over 95% of the population whom are both Muslims and Christian massively voted a non-lagosian was a proof he's not what he's claiming to be..

When they realised that the muslim-muslim ticket they claimed didn't hold water, they now said its ibo votes that made him lose lagos. It's ibo votes but yorubas won the LP seats in Lagos where ibos live...imagine how myopic they are in thinking. 2023 is just a tip of the iceberg. I pray we all witness 2027 in peace. I reserve my comment on Northern votes for the apc.

Who ask this one story. There's a new President in town, get used to it. Anybody that tries to remove a President that was massively voted for by over 8 million people should be ready for the resistance of EVERYONE OF THOSE PEOPLE, its going to be fight to finish. IF IBOS VOTE FOR OBI, ITS NOT TRIBALISM BUT BECAUSE YORUBA VOTED FOR TINUBU, ITS NOW TRIBALISM. You think everyone is as fOooooooooooOlish as you guys. Your eyes will become clearer by the next election. Save your story for your disciples.

If truly you're conversant with the position 1999 through 2005, you will know that Atiku was in control of Nigeria government while OBJ was jetting from one country to another. All governors were virtually under his beck and call then. Are you aware that OBJ almost lost his second term bid because Atiku had cornered all the political macenery to himself and OBJ went begging for survival. That was also reason the third term agenda didn't work out.
Meanwhile, you lacked manner and I am sure you're not real Omoluabi for calling someone as old as Atiku dindirin. That's uncalled for. Have little rest for people and don't name calling.

Reading and comprehension is a big problem for some of you. Even after Atiku had reeled out those that made up the formation of AC, you still went berserk to hype Tinubu, as if Tinubu was the soul and heart of the formation of AC.
Note that it wasn't all the members of AD that followed Tinubu to AC. Please put that at the back of your mind but all members of PDM went on alliance to form AC.
He has reeled out the fact on his sleeve, please counter him with fact and not rhetoric as usual.
Tinubu was at loggerheads with members of AD because he could not control the party as he wanted and that was why he could not mobilize them to wholly joined to form AC.
Let us talk fact and not rhetoric or hyping puncture.

Refer to your comments in bold!
According to you, Tinubu was not ‘heart and soul’ of AC in 2007 to help Atiku realise his failed ambition? Also, Tinubu could not mobilise his party leaders to wholly join to form AC?
Nevertheless, a few years later, this same Tinubu carried along the entire South West together with Edo in ACN to form APC which continues to be the most formidable party in Nigeria’s political horizon! Atiku should tell his stories to the Marines and the likes of you gullible ones! cool

Mr. Man, stay on the topic. We are talking of what happened in 2006 and 2007 and not afterwards. Who and who saved who? Atiku has reeled out his fact, I am hoping Tinubu will reel out his own fact or you his supporters should afford us the real fact and not rhetoric as usual, as you're jumping to irrelevant issue as if Atiku didn't not also joined to form same APC. Non tribalists who cant mention the achievements of Obi and compare with Tinubu's achievements as Governor. I'll rather be a tribalist who votes for PERFORMER than dumb former Governor who's only loved just because he's stingy. Once bitten twice shy, Buhari was loved for the same reason but ended up as a calamity. I WILL NEVER VOTE BASED ON CROWD MENTALITY, YOU CAN DO THAT IF YOU WANT. Till now, i've tried to engage obidients in intelligent discussions but hardly has anyone of them been able to tell me just 3 MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS OF OBI while he was Governor but theyre always quick to insult you because you don't support the guy. What nonsense are you writing? What is the relationship between coalition and emergence of presidential candidate. You guys just read simple things with bias. The point Atiku is making us that AC was not Tinubu's party but was a coalition of parties. Tinubu’s machinery is very adept at arrogating success to him and shielding him from failure. It is simple opportunism. Atiku saved Tinubu in 2003 from OBJ's onslaught on western govs. It's something Atiku as repeated as much as thrice and tinubu has never denied it but you his supporters wilfully overlook that and keep deceiving yourselves about 2007. Now he's setting the 2007 record straight and you still managed to turn it upside down.

Read your highlighted comment above!
How did Atiku save Tinubu from OBJ’s onslaught?
Are you saying that You and Atiku were locked in with them while figures were being manipulated to rig out the South Western governors?
If you were not present, how come you’re so willing to swear by Atiku’s version because he repeated it soooo many times?
Put your thinking cap on, my friend and be more objective about the stories people carry to your doorstep! cool

Someone you claim was inconsequential in the politics of the South West in 2007, yet he carried the entire South West to abandon the party they had nortured for years and MERGE it with another group to form a most viable RULING party for eight years AND COUNTING…..
You shouldn’t need a story-teller like Atiku to convince you about who had the political wherewithal to move the political machinery of the South-West even back in 2006/7 because it was the turn of the North to produce a President.

He is seriously worried and disturbed, that is low self esteem.
Nothing different how APC and AC were created, of course, fringe political parties were accommodated, same way some of you were bragging and claiming right to be next presidential candidate to buhari because not only ACN and CPC formed APC, but when the chips were down what happened? pls be realistist rather than being a feeble minded person.
obasanjo's case is the easiest to talk about. Put fake accolades and undeserved embellishments spearhead by obasanjo beneficiaries aside, obasanjo himself knew he wasn't in-charge of presidency from 1999 to 2003, he was a mere coronated president, buildup to his 2nd term, he was prostrating and begging with his balls in his hands to people he could father e.g orji uzor kalu, samething he did in sw, where he had no votes in his first term, same way he was prostrating and begging atiku and northerners, atiku was eventually persuaded upon by Northern power brokers, same model was used in the sw, he pleaded to avoid shame of his claimed yoruba tribe not voting for him, leopard never changes his color, a natural greedy man he is, he outsmarted all the yoruba governors that promised to give him all their votes for his presidency while they will maintain their governorships, the only sw governor that outsmarted him was Tinubu and Lagos, reason why he is always bitter at Tinubu to date. obasanjo himself knows he has no power and brain to confront Tinubu up to date.

It's Yorubas "votes in Lagos that made it possible for Obi to win Lagos not ibos"votes. Many ibos in Lagos don't vote during elections.im disappointed in his performance. You don't remove subsidy and float naira at same time in an import dependant country. Who does that? Don't mind the bigots here. Meaningless victory. If Obi’s victory in Lagos was meaningful, then Obi should be president today and not Tinubu. Tinubu won in Lagos when it mattered to him (1999 & 2003). And in 2023 Tinubu contested for the presidency of Nigeria not governorship of Lagos. So tell Obi who won Lagos in 2023 to carry his victory and go and become governor of Lagos. Tinubu don do that one 24 years ago.

You guys love binging on lies… how could BAT, a Lagos governor, who was fighting for his survival cos OBJ was kneeling on his neck, have power and national influence more than Atiku as a VP ?
In fact, in 1999 elections, his party AD could not gather enough votes to stay on as a national party. INEC was about to deregister it… cos it was a tribal/regional party. National sentiments prevailed on INEC to change its mind.

In 2003, OBJ/PDP swept all elections in SW, except inLagos. So Atiku had more political and economic influence than a-one man show party of BAT. Atiku and PDM gang were more lethal, efficient and politically-savvy than BAT and his gang during those elections.
