Coaching is not really the problem of the Eagles. The team has been on a downward spiral from the last days of Rohr and no coach has seemed to get it right.

The previous coach had a score of 2/6 in WCQ while Finidi finished with 1/6.

I don't expect any miracles from the next coach as the team is very low in confidence.

Read an interesting comment that he got Cameroon playing impressive possession football. The person actually described it as (playing like prime Barcelona).

If he really plays impressive possession football, we will see how he fares.

The red flag I read is that he uses 4-4-2 formation and from a possessive perspective, it puts us at risk because basic possession footie teaches how to break 4-4-2 formation.

There is no guarantee that Amuneke was going to do better but remember Finidi was chosen through a skewed process..no interview was conducted..the metric used to justify his selection was continuity. It was a big gamble that has backfired and the backlash is justifiable.

For the records, we have played Lesotho, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Benin, teams we are always comfortable playing against, and we are yet to record 1 victory.

These two are very good candidates with respect to the personnel on ground.

Renard and Pedro Goncalves. But they may be overlooked cos we all know how those oldies in Glass house got loose screws in their skulls

Even in our different professions, a talented undisciplined staff will not last long while a hard-working disciplined though untalented staff will go a long way in the industry.

Honestly, most of these players are not disciplined at all, they behave as if there is nothing at stake. If they don't qualify for world Cup, na them sabi, it's their CV that's is affected, not mine.

With the caliber of players we have, a good coach will fail. If you like hire Guardiola. Players make coaches. Finidi may not be a sound coach but the players on the field of play should not be absolve of blame because they execute the major task. Let's stop blaming only the coaches

The new coach would need to be a bit strict and brutal ,

If I were to b d new coach,I will make sure all dis content creators we parade as players need to sit up or Dey re shipped out of d team; reduce / eliminate unnecessary interviews(camp rules will b tightened a bit)

Search for more dedicated players that re ready to spill deir last sweat on d pitch(we av so many players inching to be invited to showcase what Dey can offer)…presently we av too many comfortable, unprofessional and unproductive players in our team. That needs to stop 🛑 .

It is still the same qualifies. No manager will wave a magic wand. And, yes, I would have preferred Amunike given the chance, knowing that we have a tough task ahead.

I have said many times I am not result oriented but performance oriented. France missed USA 94 world cup and won France 98. Those that went to 94 and did not win, did not still win France 98.

My problem is Finidi is not about the result but the football education he is passing. I am not seeing clean possession football and the built up play map looks terrible.

The aim should be having us playing well and building on it. With time the results will come.
