Hello I need ur advice

I want to apply for UK visiting visa
My sis is in the UK and is willing to sponsor my trip to the UK
I am a secondary tutor with a monthly salary of 75k and I usually have lump sums up as I help my sis in doing business here in nigeria

What do I do and how what should I avoid doing in my visa

Your monthly salary is too low. Even with your sister sponsoring you, your monthly salary will be a big red flag. I won't advise you to proceed.

Good evening Gurus in the house.

Please I want to apply for uk visiting visa to visit my sisters.

I work in a bank and current earn 960k per month, I will be sponsoring the trip myself.

Please what are the required documents that I need to provide and I current currently have around 2m plus to 3m in my account, can that fly.

Please I need your advice.

Thanks

Read previous comments from the beginning. The documents you need to provide have been repeatedly mentioned on this thread. Do some research so that you can ask specific questions. Your monthly salary and savings are fine.

Good evening all,
I really need everybody's input concerning my situation before I loose my wife because of separation.
I travelled to Nigeria last year July to marry my wife while on Post study work visa (PSW) and I travelled back to the UK immediately after our wedding.

Ever since,I've been looking for sponsorship so that I can add her as my dependent to aid her relocation to the UK which I'm yet to get till now.The companies are not ready to issue sponsorship except towards the end of my PSW visa.

I'm planning to invite her to the UK on a visit visa to enable us spend time together as a couple and I'm going to sponsor her fully as her husband.

I want to know if there's a way out because she is jobless for now..She only lives on the stipend i send to her monthly.Besides that, she has 2m in another account which forms her savings before she resigned from her job last year December.

Please, kindly advise on what to do and any advice would be appreciated.

It will be very difficult for her to get a visit visa. She's not working and she has a husband in the UK. The visa officer will assume she will not come back if she gets a visa. My honest advise is for you to continue to come home to see her or she can apply for a student visa - if you can afford to sponsor her education in the UK.

Thanks for your response....

I can't travel for now because I changed job in April and I'm still on probation.

I'm thinking since she's the only one in Nigeria,if decides to go back to her former organization because the owner (her uncle) has always given her the assurance that she can always come back to the company anytime. Her 6 months absence may be turned to unpaid leave. whats the earliest time for her to apply for visa...Im wondering if she can work for a month and apply for the visa.

Do you have the idea of the documents we need to provide?

Let her work for 6 months and apply. Still dicey but she has better chances with a job

Please guys I’m not sure if this is the right place to write this but I just need someone to come to my aid. My current visa tier 2 is expiring in 2 days and the company that promised to give me sponsorship just decided that they are not giving again. I have a daughter last year December (6 months) and my husband as my dependent. Please what can I do?

Come home! You know that is what you are expected to do so ensure you don't stay beyond the expiry date of your visa.

May God send help to you.

If you are the Uber type, you can just put the address on Uber and it’ll easily take you there from Ojota.

If Uber na long thing and you do not mind Lagos danfo buses, enter bus going to CMS from Ojota.

Drop at CMS and enter bus going to VI and stopping at Eko Hotel roundabout.

TLS is a walkable distance from the last stop at Eko Hotel roundabout.

There are roads in different direction at this place, and may be confusing for someone not familiar with the area, so you need to identify the one called Ajose Adeogun, which hosts Zenith bank Head office.

TLS is just few buildings away from Zenith bank head office and on same side of the road.

The TLS office itself is 2 buildings from the roundabout. It’s just about 1 or 2mins walk from the roundabout on the right side of the road when you walk downwards the Ajose Adeogun.

You are not going to get to Zenith Head office before getting to TLS office. I just used the Zenith Head office as a landmark.

Ensure to budget like 1.5/2hrs commute time. It may not be up to that, but I’m sure you want to avoid any surprises.

VISA ALERT

Special thanks to the house for your ever resourceful info. Between biometric day and collection mail/passport, it was 3working days. Thanks!
My advice to those applying is to be truthful and whatsoever you claim, please prove. You lose nothing being truthful, atleast you satisfied your conscience.

Please was the visa approved or denied?

Haiziik:
LONG MESSAGE ALERT
Thank you, interview went well
Q. Your name, DOB, Nationality
What are you going to do in the UK
Your role?
What's your salary
No salary, it's a volunteering and charity work
How did you know about the job
What made you the best candidate for the job
Who is the head of the organization?
Do you know him personally? No
Where will you be staying? I told him
Who's stays there? Idk but it's an arrangement from the organization
Is it a private facility or a hotel? Private
Tell us about the recruitment process with dates?
Have u travelled out of the country before? No
Have u done charity in African countries before? No
So why UK? This is where the opportunity is coming this time and I want to take it to give more to the society, it's going to be an added value to me and it will open more opportunities for me internationally
When are u meant to start work?
April 1st
That has passed, do you think it's still necessary
Charity and volunteering has no time bound, giving is not meant for a particular time,
And I've also been in contact with my employer and they're willing to reschedule once my visa is granted
What do you do here? I told her about my business
Who will manage it when you're away? My wife is an accountant and she can manage it properly when I'm away. My sister too can handle a number of things being a staff and has taken several lead roles
What's your monthly income? I said roughly N150k
Who will take care of your wellbeing there? My employer
Including food? Yes
How will ur family here be taken care of? From my biz
In case you need to take care of something, how will u do that? I have about N500k as savings with a cooperative society and I have access to *4 of that if need arise but I don't think there will be such emergency
Did you do this process yourself or someone helped you? Did myself.
These are the questions I can remember now but there were even more questions that this.
Spent about 1hr25mins for the interview.
She said she's impressed and inspired and also said she's not the one to take a decision that it's just a part of the process, that she's going to send the video and typed answers to the department that will take the decision.
I even said I thought there was going to be an apology due to the delay, she made some explanations and apologized on behalf of the team. In all, it was a long but interesting and interactive conversation.
I just hope my financial figures is OK as I dont know what their minimum requirements are for my finances. Just told them the truth about it. Hopefully I get a positive decision soon.

Etiebet's place is closer to Ojota, you could have chosen Maryland instead. From Ojota, take a bus to either Obalende or CMS and from CMS, take a bus to Ẹkọ Hotel Roundabout.

From Obalende, you can take similar bus to Eko Hotel Roundabout

Also, pls is it advisable for me to download e-statement of account from my bank's app or I should just go to the bank and request for a stamped one..
Saying this cos the distance of my bank to my place is a bit far...

The only travel experience I have is the Ghana vacation we had together.
There was lot of outgoings. Truthfully, my boyfriend's account didn't have any savings. But the payslips showed he earned enough to sponsor the trip.

Please I need help on what to do.

I did my TB screening at St Nicholas hospital for 60,000 naira. The x-ray results came out as abnormal due to my past tb treatment during COVID era. Now st. Nicholas is referring me to do sputum test and I'm to pay a new fee of 115,750 naira for the sputum test after the initial 60k.

Please is that how it's been done. I mean the charges. Almost amounting to 180k

Biometrics completed June 11, 2024. Email was received today June 14, 2024.

1. Any chances of visa approval from past expedience?

2. How long did it take to get a decision from the date of receipt?

The only family ties I had was my family (my mum and siblings) and my very small business(very small oo). My CAC was even inactive. My boyfriend wanted me to stay for 2 months but I can't count the number of times people said applying for a month or more won't work, but we still did and got the visa. I have learnt that every application is different. Don't be afraid to try because if I was, I wouldn't have gotten my visa.

@Cashmadam,

1. Please can I use a Fixed Deposit or Savings account of 2 or 3 months to proof my savings as funds I want to use to fund my Uk Holiday Trip.

2. I will also provide a six months statement of account showing only my salary income from my employer.

What I mean is that I will use two bank accounts for my Application.

1. Salary Account of Five Or Six Months./Payslips

2. Fixed Deposit or Savings Account of Two or Three Months as proof of savings.

Please guide me Madam.
