Finally some welcome media scrutiny of Reform UK's manifesto. Every party's manifesto has spending gaps I.e their costing of the projects and the money available do not match.
Like writing a list for the market coming up to 5000 naira and having only 4000 naira in your hand.
Spending gaps are one thing but reforms manifesto has basically been written on the back of a pub napkin. Or pulled out their anorectum, forgive my French.

If anyone's considering reform , please scrutinise their manifesto. They have no clue.

💯

What is happening - I find myself agreeing with you more often these days 🙈😂

Your comment is spot on. The reality is that the struggles and priorities of a recent immigrant are in most cases very different to that of a Brit, and this directs the type of jobs they do.

Sure, a number of Brits are work-shy, benefit scroungers etc. However many are just strategic about how and where they work. For example, it makes more financial sense for some to work part time than to pay for a child minder, after school club etc that ends up costing more than the extra hours worked. Others don't do overtime because the additional income tax erodes much of the gains made, so they instead prioritise spending time home with their family. Many won't work in care, warehouses etc because they see these jobs are too taxing especially when they can earn similar or more in a "sit down and drink lots of tea" type of job.
It's not always about how hard you work, but how well/smart.

Not doing some of these jobs also gives them time to engage in jobs that require brain power.

Excerpt from Reform manifesto is nothing but modern day slavery.

- The National Insurance rate will be raised to 20% for foreign workers

- British citizens National Insurance rate would stay at 13.8%

I suppose you cureently stream via SmartersPro / PandaPlayer. Try and stream via Tivimate app if you have a spare £10 you're not using. Tivimate runs much faster than SmartersPro and the interface is user friendly. The subscription can be purchased via playstore / applestore only.

Remember to logout of SmartersPro app before signing in on Tivimate so you don't breach the single user restrictions.

Abeg, where I fit get Zobo leaves in the UK? I started working Night shifts in the UK and it has been very hard for me to sleep during the day.

I barely get 2hrs of sleep daily. I believe drinking Zobo will help
I used to suffer from insomnia. So, If you can't find zobo, just get cucmber that has been in the fridge for 12hrs or more. When you are ready to sleep, cut out two slices and place on your eyelids. You should start feeling drowsy within 15mins. Remove the cucumber when sleep don enter your body, cos it made my eyes red and puffy at times when i slept off and forgot to remove them till the next day. I con look like person wey dey jonze the next day grin. Hope it helps you too.

I wouldn't be so sure....

BNP never had any political credibility. UKIP on the other hand, along with Tory backbenchers, was able to force the government to call an EU referendum, which they effectively campaigned for and eventually led to Brexit.

Reform's real power will come from an alliance with the Tories, and there are already moves being made to that effect. Rishi is toast and the new party leader will determine whether the Tories align more closely with Reform. The next leader is likely to come from the right camp of the party - Suella, Priti Patel, Jenrick etc and this group has already gone on record to say that they would (and should ) welcome in Farage and Reform.

I'm quite certain that they are already holding backroom discussions to carve out power.

They have positioned themselves as a populist party, speaking and fighting for the common man against the corrupt establishment.

Polls like the one in this article is why they are gaining support:

Just pointing out that you might not hear these views on the doorstep for obvious reasons, but they are giving Reform a platform to run on.

I don't have an answer for Zobo, but try taking camomile tea and get blackout blinds to keep the sun out.

Hi Everyone,

Please I need your input I just got my NHS COS which cover my dependants. Before getting the COS I and my wife switched to graduate visa this month when my student visa expired on the 7th June 2024.I could not apply for my children due to the high cost of IHS.

The question now is how can I apply for my children whose current visa has expired on the 7th June 2024 with my new NHS COS?

Please I need your guidance.

Zahra29, you sound balanced most of the time. So I'll ask, what are those "obvious reasons?"

Hey Zahra,

Let me rephrase the question. What if someone is on graduate visa and currently working in care without sponsorship , can he apply for COS with family already here in the
UK or the family, as the dependants, would have to go back to naija as he is the main applicant?
Family members would have to go back home if cos not from nhs. My friend just got his dependant visa rejected and that of his kids. Only the wife has visa sponsorship. The only mistake they made was not applying for post graduate visa before the wife switched.

I think it was GoodEnoch who responded to Miss Jekyll's argument that immigration was not a concern because no one brought it up on the doorstep when she was out campaigning for Labour. He pointed out that people would be very unlikely to voice their feelings about immigration to a group of people that clearly included at least one immigrant. That's what I meant by "obvious reasons"

Gosh that's money down the drain on application fees, but were they not aware of the new restrictions before they applied?

(I'm a Brit. Hope you don't mind me posting here).

The problem that Reform or the Conservative party have with their current agenda is that it tends to mostly appeal to old ppl.

The UK has a generational gap in attitudes between generation (I'm 34) and the older generation.

I talk to my grandparents and they're worried about illegal immigration from channel crossings, knife crime in London etc. Their generation also has a number of ... quite racist people in it but they won't necessarily show it openly.

Now, it is possible that this changes in the future. In Europe we're seeing a far right swing among young people but that hasn't materialized in the UK ... at least yet.

I have seen young people having concerns around immigration but that seems to mostly be focused around house prices and inability to afford a property due to there not being enough.

(This is what I've observed from personal experience)

That was not a smart gamble especially when they had the option of a PSW. How is he going to convince his employers to allow him continue on the job, while he buys time with administrative review? I won't be suprised if they refuse due to risk being penalised by HO.

Yeah the employer contacted the home office and they confirm he has application ongoing but he is yet to tell them the result of the application is out and unfavourable.
If he told me before applying I would have advised they apply post study first then the wife switch later. Na money he hp chop atleaat no one will be illegal
