Thank you #Cashmadam. I appreciate your comment.
He will upload a support letter from his supervisor at work for the weeks of leave approval that indicates his return date of duties in response to your inquiry about proofing his return. In addition, he will upload his NYSC PPA letter, which shows a probable discharge date of October 31st. He plans his visit from September 19th to October 2nd (~approximately 2 weeks). He will not be requesting funds into his account as POF again, as advised by you to avoid account padding, but he stated his yearly additional income from family to be N420k and will be uploading only his brother's, who is fully sponsoring his trip, financial details (payslips, UK employment letter, BRP document). Kindly give your advice and any suggestions about the application now.

Instead of regular income only, you can put regular income and savings. I assume you do have some money saved.

LubeyNaijaBlog:
hello house,

I was trying to pay on the tlscontact site for priority and prime time over the weekend. the priority payment went through but I couldn’t complete the payment for the prime time with my naira card because of otp issues so the whole payment was cancelled but the priority payment has already been deducted from my account and has not been refunded till now. I called my bank this morning and they said I should get through first with tls that the money has left my account.
Please how do I go about this, because I can’t see any customer care number on their page.

You should still have the priority payment on your profile. If you don't, I reckon it will be refunded after a few days. Perharps others can help.

Dear Guru in the house,

What is the ideal amount a oneweek trip will cost me as a solo traveler. How much do you think the visa officer will consider as ideal for a one week trip.

1,200 to 1,500. Most of it will be for ticket and maybe accomodation. Depends on your personal circumstance so the figures I quoted may reduce or increase...

Hello and good afternoon, everyone.

Please I'll like to ask for your assistance in applying for a visit visa for my parents (who are in their late 60s and early 70s, regarding age). The purpose of visit is to attend my brother's upcoming graduation by November.

1)Aside their personal savings bank statements, property documents and the letter from my brother's University, what documents other supporting documents do I need to attach to prove their relationship- is their marriage certificate enough?

2) They were denied Uk visitor's visa 2 consecutive times around 5 or 6 years ago but the problem is that I forgot the exact dates. Please, what can I do in that regard?

3) They are retired but run a food processing business whose CAC registration has expired for about 5 years now (it will take more than 1.2million naira to reactivate it, which I don't think make sense). Is it necessary/safe to include the information that we have a company in the light of that? Or I should simply mention that we have a family business without mentioning the name of the company. However, there are other company documents like NAFDAC, Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) inspection documents which are valid and up to date.

4)After filling out the online application form, can I say that I filled out the form on their behalf? That part can be found at the end of the application form and a signature is required to that effect. Is it okay to be transparent and disclose that I (as their son) assisted them to filled out the application and put in my signature? What do you advise, please?

I'll be grateful for your inputs.

Good afternoon everyone. This is my first time posting here. I have an issue. I was refused a UK visit visa and I noticed in the decision letter, there was an error in the figure that was stated as what I earned a year as a self-employed, I also just checked my application and saw I made a mistake too. I was supposed to put NGN but instead used GBP which was a mistake I didn't notice on time. That makes two mistakes, from my end and also from theirs. Please what do I do? I want to reapply but I don't know if this is the best decision. I applied same time with my mum and we've gotten a mail that her uk visa application is ready for collection. I would like to travel with my mum to see my sister hence the reason why I want to reapply.

I used my salary account statement as well as my business account statement. My business is not yet in full operation so I used the account to save money from my salary, so its only inflow that's been recorded in the business account, I don't know if this was an issue.

1)Aside their personal savings bank statements, property documents and the letter from my brother's University, what documents other supporting documents do I need to attach to prove their relationship- is their marriage certificate enough? Your brother's birth certificate, data page of his passport and evidence of his right to stay in the UK (BRP etc), school ID card of your brother

2) They were denied Uk visitor's visa 2 consecutive times around 5 or 6 years ago but the problem is that I forgot the exact dates. Please, what can I do in that regard? You need to have dates as you must declare all refusals. If you can't provide exact dates, you need to guess and state that you don't have access to specific information.

3) They are retired but run a food processing business whose CAC registration has expired for about 5 years now (it will take more than 1.2million naira to reactivate it, which I don't think make sense). However, there are other company documents like NAFDAC, Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) inspection documents which are valid and up to date. Provide all documents relating to the business. They might just overlook the CAC issue. Their business will serve as a tie to Nigeria

4)After filling out the online application form, can I say that I filled out the form on their behalf? That part can be found at the end of the application form and a signature is required to that effect. Is it okay to be transparent and disclose that I (as their son) assisted them to filled out the application and put in my signature? What do you advise, please? Yes, it's okay to declare that.

I'll be grateful for your inputs. Good luck!

Sorry about the refusal. If you are employed, stick to that! Joining self employment to full time employment can cause confusion and I usually don't advise it. I have a side business that gives me a reasonable income but I have never declared it. It just causes more problems - in my opinion.

You can reapply but from what I see, the story might not change because your income from your job is not substantial. I guess that is why you added your business. If our sister has the means, she can sponsor you. If that is doable, I suggest you wait a while before you reapply. You don't need two refusals back to back.

Good luck!

CAC does not expire it only becomes inactive when you don't file annual return. If you're in a place like Abuja, just go to CAC Maitama, enter cyber cafe tell them you want to file annual return, N15000 per year for Ltd + small negotiable money for lawyer or cyber cafe attendant.

Secondly, state you are applying for them, I don't think there a crime in that.

Lastly, simply be truthful and honest in your application for your patents.

I don’t understand? So I can’t have my own business while I work for someone? I am recruiting for my own business and it’s not in anyway connected to my job or stay in the UK. Do you get now?
Ashirioluwa:

You said your Tier 2 visa has expired or is about to expire. Also, you said you're recruiting for a company.

But why don't you ask the same company you're helping to recruit to assist you with your Tier 2 visa?

No offense; I am just a bit confused.

Thank you. Please how do i answer the question those that rely on me for financial support.
I added only my parents as my kids have their father/ my husband for financial support not me. Since I am not traveling with neither of them is there any need to add them as my dependant?

They need to verify the document you submitted.

Unfortunately, they were unable to verify the only document that would have helped them take a decision.

If you reapply, the same scenerio will play out.

The only other option available is for you to legally adopt your step daughter. That will take a while.

I pray you are able to sort this out. Good luck!
@cash madam thanks for your response, we are trying to apply for administrative review , even tho we can reapply we just want to try to apply for administrative review and see the outcome. Do you know the website UKVI Always visit to verify sole custody documents ? The document is genuine all we need is to upload it to the right website where they can see it , this website is what we don’t know and our lawyer is not even helping matters. If you have an idea please share . Thank you
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by iamademola(m): 11:44am On Jun 19
giselle237:

That was quite fast… considering a month before they requested for this document and you did not have.. less than 2 or 3 weeks later you were able to present a sole custody order.
Taking into cognisance how court proceedings take long, they wonder how all of this has happened. They are wary of this and therefore have painstakingly made sure they verify the authenticity of this as a child is involved. Since they could not verify it yet, they have to protect the child involved and refuse the application.
You can appeal the decision or seek reconsideration… however it will not be fast tracked as the child’s other parent is alive, they have to be sure mother indeed has sole custody by verifying what you presented.

Exactly my thought too. But where do they use to verify. ?
The doc is genuine and she was granted the sole custody in presence of the father. If we can know how they do their verification we can upload the documents there.
