So many Onitsha big men live in Onitsha. You need to feed your eyes in Onitsha, GRA Phases 1 & 2, 33, Nkwelle, Obosi, Oba to see mighty mansions of Onitsha residents. Onitsha is a great city and it is not even a state capital. The amount of money each state in the south east and beyond pour into the Onitsha economy each month patronizing its specialized markets is tremendous which is what elicits envy from some small minded Imolites. All the supermarkets and malls in Owerri buy from Onitsha markets.

Onitsha is like New York City. Many people work in New York City but live in neighbouring state of New Jersey. You need to see traffic every morning of people who live in Asaba rushing to work in Onitsha. It means that Onitsha is sustaining the livelihood of many Asaba residents. That's is how to measure power of a city.
