That is one big issue with most schools in Nigeria, send them mail, it will take them ages to reply you some with not even reply self

Please I need a guidance on how I can verify whether any Nigerian university certificate is genuine or not online without asking for official transcripts from university authority. Thanks in advance

I think the best way to verify if any Nigerian u iversity certificate is genuine or not is to write to vice chancellor of the university requesting for authentification of the attached copy of the university certificate.
For example if an individual has a unilag BSc in biology certificate and the person applies for a masters of science in biology at unijos and the individual is successfully admitted by Unijos, Unijos would write to unilag to verify the authenticity of the attached result and unilag would reply by stating that the certificate of the individual is either original or fake.

Another example is if an individual applies for a job at ministry of health with bachelor of science in microbiology certificate from unilag and the individual is employed by ministry of health, ministry of health would write to unilag to verify if the certifate of the individual is either genuine or fake


Also you can verify if a waec or neco certificate is genuine or not online by buying the waec or neco verification scratch card and following the instructions on them

Graduation lists are always published yearly on the university website.

But the certificate could be genuine and held by an impersonator that's why the best way is to contact the university for detailed verification that would come with a photograph.

The verification code is on the certificate and you can verify the genuineness and classes of the degree

For laurech, I can still login into my student portal on the school website till today. GRADUATED is boldly written there.

SIWES will only show the person the person studied up to 400L but not guarantee the person graduated.

At least it guarantees the person has done 95% of the work.

You have to contact the school if you're serious.

Transcripts are not for fancy, they're made for issues as this.
