I switched to IPTV live streaming by getting an android TV box last month. I also got Airtel 5G router. With the experience I have had so far; I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO DSTV OR USE ANY CABLE TV.

I watch more of Geopolitics news and football but hate it that I can't have access to RT news which is my favorite news network. I hate all the CNN, Bloomberg, BBC, Reuter, DW, France24, Euronews, Skynews, Nbc, Fox new of this world

They are all western manipulation and propaganda machine. I despise them all. The only news source I consume are Russian RT news, Al Jazeera and Chinese CGTN. Since the start of Russo-Ukraine war, RT was banned from YouTube. I couldn't get it anywhere, DSTV use to show it but they stopped even long before Ukraine war.

Ever since I began Livestream I have access to RT news, I have access to all live sports for free, I stream blockbuster movies and even old movies from yesteryears.

Sometimes I wonder why it took me so long to discover this. At this point, I don't care how much I spend on data, (currently I do the airtel monthly 20k unlimited data subscription), as long as I have access to what I enjoy to watch. I will stick with streaming.

This is the comment I have been searching for but unfortunately you do not provide solutions to how you can watch blockbuster movies, stream matches, news and football channels.

I have an android box with a 4gig ram, 64gb with usb for memory expansion. Subscribing to movies channel is a no to me, I download movies from a site(mid movies and occasionally blockbuster movies) on my phone and direct share it with my box. I watch YouTube for local content. I stream live matches on X on my Android box as it is more stable without glitches but most times the streaming feed get cut off abruptly.

Please, do you mind sharing where you watch your blockbuster movies, streamlive matches and watch new channels??

Pls confirm yours lasts. Mine stops working at 120gig, so i stopped using it
You probably did the "Data Based" and not "Speed Based". Reach out to Airtel to change your plan ONLY on the 5G Router.

Yes! i meant interferences in terms of going all the way to instigate a regime change in less developed countries. This, the US has done in many countries of the world. That is the main reason the US is now an enemy of Iran.

🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂

Seems you're a geopolitical neophyte.

All big countries try to install favourable regimes in small countries.

Russia, America, Britain, France are skilled players in this area.

Lol. I used to watch RT and Al Jazeera too much too. Even Press TV until I realised they are all the same or worse. Now I watch all. Don't let these guys confuse you.

Al Jazeera has semblance of objectivity but they are pro-Qatar, pro-Shia, anti-Isreal and the same thing goes for Press TV though at a worse level. CNN is pro-Isreal, pro-Usa, anti-Russia and the same goes for Fox News only that while Fox is Pro-Republicans, CNN is Pro- democrats.

DwTv, France24 and SkyNews are the most objective you will find. DW is more into documentary and not really as in-depth as Aljazeera, CNN or even SkyNews.

The most ridiculous for me is RT. They call every channel bad but they can't even criticise anything in Russia. Not even the president. It's too much propaganda for anyone to handle. It doesn't have the maturity or tact of Al Jazeera or CGTN or even the ridiculousness of CNN.

So, RT is lying to you. If you really want something fair you either watch all of them or try France24 and SkyNews. I would have recommended Al Jazeera but they are only fair if there's no Qatari interest in the subject matter.

Nice objection. I prefer Quora though. I love reading and it is well balanced with USA, Russia and China Propaganda. There's the Israeli–Palestinian conflict also. I really get informed all by reading. I go through comments to make my own unbiased favoritism.

I've only been using "X88 Pro 10" and I bought it around 6k 8years ago. I guess they all do the same thing. I haven't tried others so it's difficult to recommend, however, just like phones, there are high end TV boxes such as Apple and Nvidia Shields boxes. And so many things also account for the price differences too. E.g Storage Capacity, RAM, operating systems and versions.

If you're going to be downloading lots of movies, you may want to consider the one with high storage capacity. It all depends on your need and taste.

Thanks 🙏

Call me old school or stingy but if I am to advise people that have smart tv sets, get a smart tv that can upscale so you would just have to screen mirror whatever you want to watch from your phone to the tv. It is cheaper. Opening some of these apps directly from the tv set consumes a whole lot of data.
how can one check for such smart tv's that upscales image?

Most 4k sets have it but when buying a tv set, Google the model. They always indicate it on the specifications.

i don’t think we should categorize them as “Autocratic” but rather-“Illiberal democracies . One thing that is obvious with the latter is; They hardly/do no interfere in other lesser countries internal affairs. History , so far shows they have NOT. I said it.I really weighed the pros and cons and since I don't even watch TV I bought a flash drive then downloaded some animations movies for my kids, and slotted into the tv for them.
Every other month I download like ten more from the Moviebox app for them.
Everybody is now at rest grin grin

It is as simple as that
I do download latest season movies ND send them into a flash drive ND watch.
Premium peace of mind..

Your calculation is off.

Firstly, you assumed that having DSTV exempts you from having a home WiFi.

It doesn't.

So for many people, they already pay for both.

Secondly, you are unaware of android boxes, firesticks and IPTV.

An android box or a fire stick is a one time purchase and you will have access to thousands of movies and series and a bit of live TV.

All you need to enjoy that is an unlimited subscription and you are good to go at a one off cost of N40k-N70k for the device and N13k per month for Fiberone.

If you want many more live channels you go for IPTV at a small amount each month.

wonder233:
So, at the heart of the matter is cost... and utilization:
So, with Dstv, you subscribe monthly, at say, 12,500 or 15,700 for compact, but you hardly stay at home to watch, besides, they have old movies, but sole rights to some key programs like football, reality shows, etc.

On the other hand, with smart TV, you have to subscribe to the apps - Netflix, showmax, prime, etc, say 6,000, then get unlimited monthly data for about 25,000., which, like. Dstv, requires monthly subscription irrespective of usage...

For me, I think, its still cost effective to stick with Dstv, in addition to data subscription on your phone (which is inevitable). This, you can use.for Netflix and co on your mobile when you can.

Quick question: 120gb you subscribe to monthly, how much does it cost?
I'm asking because I pay about 13k every month for unlimited access to the internet and all the devices in the house are connected to it (we run more than 1tb of data some months).
I work 99% of the time from home, so I basically just have about 1k worth of mobile data on my line in case I have need for internet when I'm not at home, and this has worked pretty well for me since 2020.

if you follow closely my post on this thread, i just uploaded links to steady free iptv channel (non premium) AND link to free premium channel as well. as i have explained earlier, the free premium links are not steady and always break after a few weeks, so after using free premium links for about 2years, i finally paid for a premium channel subscription and it makes my IPTV life so much more easier.

yessir!!! i feel exactly the same way.

if you have unlimited internet, then simply download the app SMARTIPTV on your tv and use it for the 1 month free trial....upload any one of the link i posted earlier, and enjoy free premium channels for 1 month!

you are welcome, let me know if you have any issues.

no scam here and you will have to contact them directly for that... i posted their whatsapp and email above (i think they are in Morocco). i have been with them for a while now and their service has never let me down, never buffers, never get broken.... perfect setup for me. i 1st used them for a 1 month trial before i started using their yearly service.

never tried Kodi but i just looked and sadly no Kodi on LG store and pain in the ass to sideload it. 45€ per year is a bargain "for me" to have all premium channels on earth. thats like less than 4€ per month for fantastic content from everywhere around the world.

Oh, I see where the issue is for you. You are using LG Smart TV! Foremost, that will scoop your data like vampires and will also limit what you can do with your screen. Get Android Smart Box and connect it to the TV instead. Remove all wifi logins and connections on you LG TV and transfer them unto the smart box. Now, the smart box is exactly your phone! Right now, I'm writing this message right on my TV screen using the smart box. I reply my whatsapp messages via smart box, I have my facebook on my smart box etc...Virtually anything you can do on your phone can be done on your smart box. In other words, the smart box now works like a desktop CPU while the TV act as the screen. All you need to add for comfort and convenience is a wireless keyboard.

You will never be able to get so many things on LG Smart TV! It's operating system is Webos. And just like Hisense Operating system VIDAA, you can only do within the limits they offer.

Once you get Android smart box and download Kodi, you will be able to watch even channels from heaven. If you have an android phone, you can test Kodi to have a feel of what it's like. It's quite challenging configuring "Super repositories" if you're not tech inclined, but there are step-by-step guides on the internet....just do a google search on how to configure Kodi repositories. I can give you some amazing "repo" later

I spend 20k monthly on Glo data, and that caters for every TV viewing in the house, every phone connections to wifi (a family of 5), all the latest movies to watch and download, all premium live matches and leagues from all over the world. The kids have unlimited cartoons and in many languages.....What more? There are adult channels and some are even live on cam to chat with. "I particularly like Lucy of xxxsensual.

Attached is picture of TV boxes. I use "X88 Pro 10", but there are high end and pricy ones too like the Nvidia Shields. That's what you need to enjoy IPTV free of charge to the fullest including all f****kn premium channels all over the globe and in heavens and not the smart TV!

You need to get the Airtel 5g Router. That's when you can access the unlimited plan. The 50k includes free one-month unlimited browsing.

I'm also on the search for the most affordable monthly plan for smart TV and laptop. We got an MTN router and did one plan for 8k and the data got exhausted by the next day. How can one unlock the router so I can do the unlimited Airtel subscription?

I use Starlink, if you can afford the monthly subscription, then I highly recommend you use Starlink. I watch Netflix, Prime and Showmax on my TV. I stream 4K content seamlessly on Netflix and Youtube. Everyone in my house is connected and I even share my Wifi password with two of my neighbors.
you can add it with IPTV, I provide IPTV service
