Segedinho: Just google protest in Argentina June 2024 and see news Some of the things I saw Strike starting tomorrow June 25 https://crisis24.garda.com/alerts/2024/06/argentina-unionized-transport-workers-to-strike-in-buenos-aires-metropolitan-area-june-25 The Argentine president office called the protesters terrorists who are trying to overthrow the govt through a coup (Tinubu can copy this) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dmk130phayM This happened 2 weeks ago Protesters clashed with police outside the National Congress building in Buenos Aires as lawmakers considered the reform bill.

raumdeuter: Everybody knows nobody will pay them 500k. Ajaero and the union also know this. They are only setting their negotiation point so high that they will arrive at a middle ground that works for everyone . We see ASUU do this everytime. Anybody who actually thinks NLC wants above 120k is just clearly naive . 6 Likes 1 Share |

larride: The bold is the issue I have with those blindly defending this government . They see this truth but refuse to talk about it. Saying “ when we are outside you can talk about ideals, but when u are inside u know talk is cheap “ makes no sense to me in this matter at all. Life was hard under Abacha and guys like Onanuga were brave enough to fight Abacha to a standstill with everything they had . That is highly commendable . Today life is even harder under the government Onanuga works for . All Onanuga does is abuse the people fighting against the hardship and even calling them unprintable names while his principal and the political class responsible for the hardship keep spending billions on frivolities . My question is would they rather keep quiet and die in silence because Bayo Onanuga and his generation had fought for democracy over 25 years ago ? Should they take every nonsense being thrown at them while lying down ? 6 Likes 1 Share |

GloriousGbola: The thing is that when people get into the positive of power, all their activism and populism disappears and they become more like the oppressors they once fought. It is a pattern that has been repeated 1001 times in history, and has nothing to do with the pusillanimity of the new generation of activists. 3 Likes 1 Share |

BlueRayDick: Abacha by being military was an illegitimate govt. The first thing any military junta does is to suspend the constitution, So the Abacha regime was unconstitutional. So that was the main thing Tinubu Onanuga etc fought for which was to return the governance of the country to civilian rule and end the illegitimate military govt Secondly I doubt this times are tougher than Abacha times whether economically or socially. Economically was when sawdust cooking took over, when ASUU went on strike and Abacha fired all lecturers, when critics of govt like Ken Saro Wiwa, Kudirat, Rewane, Omatsola etc were not just called uncouth languages like Sons of bitches but they were hunted down and killed, Even arguing in Newspaper stands against govt can get you locked up. So much that commonwealth expelled the country That didnt stop Abacha from stuffing money in overseas banks that we are still cashing out 25yrs after his death 1 Like |

raumdeuter: The fact that u think the bolded shows u are so detached from the reality in Nigeria as of today. As bad as Abacha was , there are records that suggest inflation was reduced from over 50% to 8.5% under his regime. Today inflation rate stands above 30% in 2024. Today Nigerians spend most of their income on feeding . A derica of beans is 2,000 and the minimum wage is 30,000. That minimum wage will not even feed a young school leaver for 15 days out of 30 days in the month . Yes Abacha was a monster, a brute , a dictator and the head of an illegitimate government who stole from the country . But u saying the hardship in present day Nigeria is lesser than what obtained during Abacha days shows u are far away from the reality 11 Likes 1 Share |

Talking about Abacha looting and stuffing money overseas so much that we are still cashing out 25 years after ; I hope we all know the Chagoury brothers are one of the accomplices that helped Abacha rob this nation blind . As a matter of fact , Gilbert Chagoury was convicted by a Swiss court for laundering money for Abacha and he had to return $6million back to Nigerian government . This same Gilbert Chagoury is whom Tinubu’s government awarded a 15 trillion road construction contract to in 2024 without following the bidding process . 13 Likes 1 Share |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 6:25am On Jun 25 |
afrodoc2: As in ehn…. Looking back in retrospect sef , Tinubu may not have spent as much as most people assumed he did for the election from his own pocket. I believe the Chagourys may be some of his major financiers and the costal road contract award is just a case of ‘I do for you, you do for me….. *in Wike voice * I even read Tinubu flew in a Chagoury owned jet to SA recently |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by afrodoc2: 6:42am On Jun 25 |
BlueRayDick: Of course, it was not all or even mainly from his pocket. Even in developed countries it is usually other people's money, either in the form of a few millionaires donating millions of dollars each OR a few thousands/millions of people donating a few dollars each. Then, in the US you hear about PACs and Super PACs. All those groups are donating money to a campaign not for altruistic reasons but because they want something in return on the back end. |

iamoyindamola: U are asking this question when we still have pre-registered sim being sold in Nigeria till date ? How did those selling pre-registered sim get it registered ? |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by iamoyindamola(m): 6:52am On Jun 25 |
BlueRayDick: I haven't seen pre-register Sims for years since the regulation of nin was implemented even network providers that give out free sims have stopped |

BlueRayDick: That thing is very disturbing for me because it implies that cloning of phone lines is going on in the open. Quite literally anyone can go to one of those places claim your own line and get it registered. That is what I see as the implication. |

larride:Won't be impossible for them to have access to face capturing and thumb print data if our data is as compromised as they say it is. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 8:18am On Jun 25 |
larride: On the street? I don't think so. What I am saying is if you go to the office they follow process.. Tell us the last five numbers you use regularly. All of this is to verify you are the actual owner of the line. The people on the street are telco employees. So whatever they are doing is out of process and you are oyo. |

I scroll down to see rest in the camp are celebrating it as well, hence I decided to let them enjoy the victory over Agbado Camp. In the evening, another Ellupee rushed to share a post that PBAT is copying PMB cos Alake presented a refined gold bar to the President, really got cracked again - like who actually is trolling. Well he was starved of likes and shares by his people cos some of them know the joke is on him. LOL! 3 Likes |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 8:28am On Jun 25 |
GloriousGbola: Yes on the street, if you want to buy a new sim today, you will do face capturing and thumb print. I think they even do it for sim replacement also and you need a valid ID also if I'm not mistaken. 2 Likes 1 Share |
