Goodafternoon house. Please per secondary markets. Was anyone debited and not credited? Stanbic IBTC

I walked down straight to Stanbic IBTC branch at Alausa, Ikeja today and the rates given were as indicated below:

91 days = 16.3%

182 days = 17.44%

364 days = 20.6%

Please note that the rates are susceptible to daily changes.

Thanks . I wanted to know if they debit without crediting upfront. I know GTB does that but stanbic has debited me and yet to credit me upfront.

There is difference between the two statements below bro:

1. You can't bid for primary market unless you have up to N50m.

2. You can't bid for primary market because you don't have up to N50m.

Take things cool bro. Things are hard in the country, but we are all here.

Somethings are logically implied.

If you really thought his bid was up to N50m,
You're trying to tell me that your actual statement to him was:

"Bro, I know your bid is more than N50m, the thing is you can't really set your own bid unless you're doing more than N50m"

On what planet will he not look you with side eye.

Your statement is more like
"Bro, I know your bid is only N10m, the thing is you can't really set your own bid unless you're doing more than N50m"

Only then does it follow.

They're just quoting yesterday's PMA rates.

They're not rates anyone can get at anytime today.

My statement is clear and direct enough for anyone to understand; this epistle does not help in any way.

Nobody assumes that this thread is not good enough for billionaires to be part of as cash and cash equivalent is not the only asset available when it comes to investment.

Stop taking issue out of no issue bro.

No, your statement was based on an assumption otherwise is utterly redundant.

You have to choose between accepting you made a statement based on a faulty assumption

Or
That you made a statement that doesn't follow logic.

You're guilty of at least one.

There's nothing wrong in admitting to mistakes

By the way, there's no difference between these two statements you wrote here.

The fact that you think there's a difference is the basis of your arguments.

There isn't.

I guess we see things differently then, no big deal.

If Rotten Tomatoes can give Gravity (super boring to me) a 96% rating and Atlas (quite cool) 19%, then obviously as humans we see things differently.

See there is nothing wrong for you to contact any bank you invest with either via call or email on the Friday of Auction week or at least Monday of the following week to confirm the status of your TBills subscription.

You can sometimes go out of the box of banks and contact other investment houses too because I don't understand what banks are doing these days. You can contact coronation, Greenwich, Afrinvest etc. Asides primary market, they sometimes some good deals in the secondary market too. You are just emails or calls away most times.

Please is there any bank that displays available secondary market T.Bills rates on its app or online banking platform and also permits customers to invest directly on such platform? If yes, please which bank and via what platform?
Thanks

Yes. I-Invest is a good platform for that. Check their app on play store. It is owned by sterling bank.

Yes, Standard Chartered Bank does through their banks mobile app but for you to access it, you have to set up your Investment risk profile and then you are good to go. Infact, there you will only access not just TBills but also FG Bonds.

You will also see foreign currency bonds listed (both FG Eurobond and other corporate bonds) and Foreign mutual funds which you can only access if you have a compatible settlement (Dorm) account domiciled with them.

Sorry, I missed this earlier. Just leave the funds there for now. They would carry it when set. Normally, if it's not successful, they will not deduct anything: meaning that even when the whole subscription amount is deducted for custody beforehand, if it's not successful the amount is to be refunded in full. The deductions signify that their bid was successful. Maybe it's some human errors delaying the deductions.

However, since you are anxious and need to clear your doubts, you can still mail/call them for the status of your subscription and request for a proof/certificate of investment if successful. From there, you will be certain and any likely will corrected.

You can just ask here still.

I believe you can find ways to mask any sensitive info you may be trying to avoid exposing.

For instance you could use a fraction or a multiple of the amount involved if you don't want to share the exact amount publicly.

Something like that.

Plus there may be others here who will give you a much better perspective/guidance.
