But I thought you claimed that government can't be everywhere? Who is now putting the "stop work signs" you are referring to?

You are still repeating the same thing which is another way if saying that government has failed and you have failed to answer my question.

Maybe u are not aware that there is a tier of government called local government? Pls what is their job?

What is the job of government in terms of enforcing building plans?

How long should it take fir the government to enforce building plans?

Should it be immediate or should it wait until after the building has been completed?

The various illegal structures which brendaniel asked if they fell from the sky, how did they litter the whole place without anyone seeing them?

Which is cheaper for government and better for the environment? Is it to wait for the illegal structures to be concluded or to stop the buildings from being erected in the first place?

Keep looking for which cheaper for government.

When floods happens we the one suffering it.....whatever money the government spends it cant lose cos no be sanwo olu papa money.

Better drop emotions and see things logically.

No matter the preventive method you adopt people will still break the law.

The amount of shops and buildings illicitly put up by lagosians is the major reason for these ceaseless flooding here and there . Most lagosians are too stuborn & deaf to the dangers they pose on themselves .

And if flooding overtake them, they'd be all over Social Media, shouting corruption and how people are cowards for not copying Kenyans and burning things down.

My father was not in charge of disconnection and reconnection, those are lines men job, hotlines takes care more on transmission, very high voltage department, if you dont know about how the power system works, don't disgrace yourself....

If you don't know what PSTC and PTC stands for in NEPA at the time, please just keep quiet...

I didn't know how bad Lekki was until I went out on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The road was flooded,it started from Chevron and ended at Lekki phase one,no movement for almost 7 hours.
God bless the Commissioner for Environment for tackling the menace of flooding in the state but it's time to take some hard decisions.
The Bus stop at Chisco and Ikate are part of the major problem on the road.
The street beside house on the rock Church must be demolished and expanded to build a bigger road and wider drainage.
Those roads are always flooded even when it doesn't rain, the Commissioner for works and Environment must stop the window dressing at Agungi and demolish those houses in those areas to build wider roads and drainage which will feed the collector drain at Agungi.
We also appeal to Mr Governor to quickly finish the road from Freedom way to VGC,that project has been on for more than 2 years.
I also believe the Government must as a matter of urgency, construct an inner road within streets from Chevron to Lekki, and estate on the right of way should be demolished, enough of the shenanigans from those gated estates that won't allow passage to cars who want to avoid the traffic on the
Express way.
Finally Mr Governor,it's time to reconstruct the Lekki-Ajah Expressway, the road needs to be a concrete road like what is been done on the Ajah to Epe axis.
If the toll gate has to be reintroduced for funds to be raised to build the rebuild the road I'm totally for it,the suffering of the last 2 days was unbearable for a lot of residents in that Axis.
I appreciate the wonderful work being done on the Ajah to Eleko axis and also what was done by Governor Ambode from Eleko to Epe but it needs to be extended from Ajah to Lekki.
God bless Lagos state
God bless Nigeria.....

YOU FINISHED IT ALL. THIS WAS EXACTLY MY MIND 💯

Investing for the state in his family's businesses (though didn't break any law)

though he didn't break any law in both but it showed some form of personal interest...

The only thing Nigeria government is good at are;

1. Subsidies for pilgrimage
2. Buying high end bullet proof suvs vehicles for them themselves.
3. Giving Palliative to some selected few.
4.et cetera.

If you feel PO didn't break any law, why feel that Tinubu has broken any law and constantly calling him drug lord, when he was not convicted and also feel he being the president is "illegitimate" because he "rigged" an election that he(PO) couldn't prove nor even say he won in the courts?

If Peter Obi broke any law the EFCC should have been after him like Yahaya Bello, Tinubu settled his case in the US but the papers showed he settled a case of drug trafficking and money laundering, so whether he was convicted or not doesn't remove his involvement in it....
Re: Flooding: Lagos To Construct More Drainage Collectors In Agungi by Simplemeeeee: 8:41pm On Jun 28
Did Tinubu broke the US laws and found guilty by a court of law in the US, and instead of serving his sentence, he chose to settle?

Can you willingly forfeit your money if you are not guilty of illegally making the money?
Re: Flooding: Lagos To Construct More Drainage Collectors In Agungi by Simplemeeeee: 9:28pm On Jun 28
Do you actually believe that the USA can allow you to go free without serving jail, when you break their laws as a foreigner in the person of Tinubu?

Who has that happened to in the world?

Yes, it's called plea bargain...
Re: Flooding: Lagos To Construct More Drainage Collectors In Agungi by PHAYOL81: 11:56pm On Jun 28
Apart from getting all stormwater collectors available and efficient, LAGOS state must build DRAIN PUMPS at designated places in Lagos to quickly push this stormwater into the sea especially during heavy rainfall. Lagos has lowline proximity to water level, especially on the island so we need quick evacuation of rainwaters during rainfall. That's the one-stop,solution for this annual, flood. I understand one of such pump is being introduced to the ADENIJI tertiary collection points to address the LAGOS ISLAND/OBALENDE axis flood but more need to be done for other places too.

GOD BLESS LAGOS STATE

WE RISE!
