shaybebaby: @bold is one part of Islam I don't understand. Muslim women don't like sharing their men here on earth so why will they work for a paradise where they have to share their men with 72 virgins for all eternity. What kind of hellish paradise is that? Does their God hate them abi wetin ![]() 5 Likes |

cococandy: For instance, if a wife is a victim of DV, she can file for divorce. To convince the judge, she would show proof that she is a victim. If the husband apologized and she still want in, fine. If she insist on the divorce, the judge can dissolve the union. No be the man marry himself, na Imam sign the marriage, so the Imam, based on some rule can also dissolve the union. The convincing is not like a lobbying thing, na to show proof/workings for your case. The rule is enforceable if all parties involve from the husband to the wife to the judge would be fair; no bias. That some pple who should enforce it are doing otherwise doesn't change what the rule is. If a wife feels, the husband is infringing on her rights and can't bear with it, and she want divorce, na to prove her case to the judge. Or for instance, despite the facts that some men just pronounce divorce anyhow doesn't change the facts that there are rules/guide to follow in going about it which some don't follow. Maybe you are not familiar with women asking for divorce in your community, I have seen it both where the husband obliged willingly and where the husband doesn't obliged willingly but would have to due to Imam/judge intervention. |

CHoccolaTE: I don’t blame you. ![]() They drew the first blood. Nothing women can do or say to men will even slightly make up for all the things they did and keep doing to us. I feel like even they know it too. at least the ones who can be fair minded know it. 4 Likes |

islamics: I have seen many videos on the internet of Muslim women complaining that their Imam refused them divorce after trying to leave their abusive husbands, you have to admit it's a bit unfair for the divorce process to be so easy and effortless as proclaiming divorce thrice for the husbands while the wives have to "convince" a judge or Imam that her reasons for divorce are valid before she can leave an unhappy marriage. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Beremx: Nobody advised him, he did what he wants to do. If you read his post, you will see his actions were premeditated. He was already done with it before even telling the wife. The problem with this is, there would always be women who think they are different. So say whatever, they would still make choices that will shock you. I don't even stress it anymore. Marry whatever you wanna, but don't tell me your problems. Na my own be that. 2 Likes |

cococandy:To me, the only reason a man avoid's divorce is when he has to part away with some or half of his assets to the woman which I don't think happens in this part of the world .. Apart from that .. She's free to leave .. Except for a man that has greatly invested on that relationship/marriage and he he knows he has much to lose if that marriage gets broken .. This is why I'm an advocate of both parties equally investing in the marriage/relationship.. so when it's time to leave, it would be done with ease .. No one would be like "after everything Ive done and that bullshiit.. |

CHoccolaTE: I have no clue but you raise a very important question. What is a woman's reward in the afterlife? 🤔 For women who are yet to be married, I'd urge them to consider all the ways women continue to be showed shege in marriages and have a plan for if any of it materialises. If you don't have a plan to save yourself if it goes tit's up, ABORT MISSION! 1 Like |

FuckingMachine:she intended to harm him spiritually .. That right there is a crime .. Traditional religion is not illegal but attempting/intending to use it for any wrong doings is a crime .. If she had gone through with the act .. wetin we dey talk nw no be wetin we go dey talk .. A little brain resetting panel beating is required.. Btw, she also has a Case of domestic violence against her .. since she was attempting to harm her husband .. This case won't even stand in a court .. |

Gerrard59: Interesting how you are writing epistles to defend someone who is a "strong APC supporter" simply because you like him, but same you was cussing people out and accusing them of being APC simply they had a different opinion on japa. Just like the odanz guy has proved, hypocrisy is truly a thing. As for J, he has laid his bed and he now has to lie on it. 2 Likes |

jaybee3:Thank you. When I say most of the elite class in Northern Nigeria practice monogamy, I mean it. Unless the wife died or divorce happened, even with an only child. They are cool. These are those who are the northerners. In Europe of old, it was concubines. Official mistresses. The same with south east Asia. Their wives fought them and won. Nigerian poor Muslim wives believe that marriage is everything and for you to be alive and worthwhile, you must be married even if your husband married 3 more after you. How selfish of Muhammed to come up with this. Like Muhammed like Abraham. If they lived at this age, I'm sure they will never think of this stupid tradition they follow. I think it was what's obtainable in their time and in 21st century, we are still practising such. In igboland, it was male child. Female child was never recognised. Give birth to girls and see your husband's family get a second wife for him and you become their enemy. These women fought and fought. Took their case to court and won. In Anambra I know, female children have inheritance now and nobody chases a widow with girl child away anymore cos the law protects her and the child. Let Muslim women fight. I thought yoruba muslim women will champion this. Really disappointed. 4 Likes |
