As I scrolled through Instagram, I came across a skit that left me both amused and concerned. A man magically transformed into a chicken to sneak into someone's food storage, and I couldn't help but think, "Yeah this is definitely Nigeria, where naturally smart people still believe in witchcraft and black magic." It's astonishing that in the 21st century, such beliefs persist, hindering our progress and potential.

Let's consider the implications of black magic being real. If it truly worked, wouldn't Africa have the strongest military in the world? Imagine the advantages: invisibility, mind control, bullet resistance, shapeshifting, teleportation, and unparalleled intelligence capabilities. We would be unstoppable, and the world would marvel at our greatness. Yet, we remain reliant on other countries for technological advancements and medical breakthroughs.

If you ask me... That's the real black magic right there.

It's time to acknowledge that "juju" doesn't really work. We're mentally stuck in the past, while the rest of the world has moved forward, embracing science and technology. They once believed in black magic too (more than we do right now) but they advanced and left those beliefs behind for a reason. We must do the same.

I urge you to think critically about the world around us. Let's focus on what truly works and strive for a better Africa, where science, technology, and reason prevail. This is not a call to dismiss our rich cultural heritage but to separate superstition from reality.

Let us catch up with the rest of the world and create a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come. I long to see a better Africa before I die, and I hope you share this vision.

I personally believe that Belief in a higher power is a natural aspect of human evolution. As our species became more intelligent, we began to ponder the mysteries of the universe. Our brains, seeking to alleviate the discomfort of uncertainty, created a coping mechanism - the concept of "magic".

This invention of our brains allowed us to make sense of the unknown, providing a sense of comfort and control over the uncontrollable. In essence, belief in magic and higher powers is a natural byproduct of our cognitive development, a testament to our brain's remarkable ability to adapt and find solace in the face of the unknown."

So call me ignorant all you want, but I need you to think for a minute. (Let your common sense do it's job)

This article is intended for educational purposes only, encouraging us to think critically and strive for progress. Let us embrace the true "black magic" of science and technology and create a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come, Thank you.

I just looked at your profile picture and conclude that you’re just in your early 20’s.

Your brain is still developing and the hormones in your body are still rampaging in dissonance and so your worldview is parochial.

In 10years time, when your brain is fully developed, and when you’ve shed your skin of adolescence; You will come to understand the principle of polarity; that black magic & witchcraft exist, and they are different sides of the same coin and CAN NEVER BE USED FOR ANY POSITIVE ADVANCEMENT.

But ask yourself why hasn't any African witch doctor step forward to help NATO assassinate people like Putin, North Korea and Iran leader through a magical mirror? I'm sure the CIA will generously reward such person with billions of dollars for helping them accomplish an impossible.

I'm aware you can't look at my profile picture, but i am not in my early 20s and my brain is very well developed and my skin is unfortunately no more adolescence, and I have come to understand that black magic & witchcraft does not exist.

If you have evidence that black magic & witchcraft does exist though, do kindly present it.

How hard can it really be for these religious e-d!ots to show proof?

I tell you if you mix red and blue, you get purple. Don’t believe? You do it and get the result.

Acid turns litmus paper red, don’t believe me? You try it and get results.

This was the reason for practicals in school.

Now tell me, what is the practical representation of your God or gods?
Why has the supreme being suddenly stopped talking?
What is one thing you can achieve with you religion that i cannot do with hard work and using my brain?

I am tired of the e-d!otic response of “If you don’t believe, rest”. “Take it or leave it”

If you can’t explain it, then you don’t understand it.

With sleep eyes, and lesser discernment, I entered my details...and they wiped my account that night.

I'd bet you probably wouldn't have done the same. You definitely wouldn't do the same ever again, because you sound way too smart and willing to take responsibility for your error and learn from your mistake than to stupidly repeat it.

Now, if you had not taken responsibility for your error and learnt from your mistake and instead ignorantly blamed it on juju or black magic, you definitely would have done the same again and again and again till you accepted responsibility and learnt.

I always say this: Nigerians abhor critical reasoning. They are drawn to simple minded beliefs. The irony is that the same people pride themselves on being big on academic studies, but somehow conveniently ensures their academic pursuits have no impact on their thought processes.
It is frustrating interacting with Nigerians cos of their close mindedness

This isn't about God, stick to the topic

Every scientific invention is a proof that it's impossible for anything to suddenly appear from nothingness, without a Grand Designer

If u dont have proof for how LIFE started with big bang explosion, Evolution/Spontaneous Generations and all u could present is a phantom scientific theory that's not viable enough to be practiced and replicated in a lab, then that's bullshit.

A theory that had no real life witness until some random scientists came up 16centuries later to propound shity stuffs. U actually want a smart brain like me to believe that??

I've always said it's dumber to be an atheist

In fact, As an atheist, U need to have "faith" to believe that those things(Big bang,SG/Evolution) happened in the past even tho there are no witness to it and humans didn't know about it til the last century cheesy cheesy cheesy

I need proof. Proof of the big bang, i do not have.
And guess what, i am not afraid to say I don't know how this world came to be.

Christians and Muslims will rather die than admit they don’t know.

If truly there is a God in existence, i know for a fact that no one practicing islam or Christianity knows who it is.

There's a lot you don't know Mimi; you see in this world of ours , the spiritual controls the physical , everything that happens in this physical world is as a manifestation of the spirit world.

Black magic is most of the times often misunderstood and misinterpreted by ignoramus people. For example just as we have Muslims with good beliefs about Allah , we also have foolish Muslims with stupid beliefs about Allah , like d ones that believe 7 virgins is waiting for them if they kill plenty people and other stupid idiotic beliefs.

The word black magic exists without doubts if only you shun ignorance and be open minded to certain beliefs about black magic or juju.

Even we as humans are spiritual beings , experiencing a life in a physical sense of reality , we operate on energies , it's just so unfortunate that we are mostly ignorant to an extent and then our ignorance even cost us more cause we feel like we know a lot which is false but when you open your mind you begin to understand the dynamics and algorithms of this life.

The white men re~branded Christianity and sold it to us in Africa and strangely we are still holding on dearly to those beliefs of this so called white men who came to destroy Africa.
The white men practice black magic or juju very well , but you wouldn't know. There are certain spells, words or ritual rites that if done correctly as the potential to make one extremely powerful.

There's a whole lot to write to enlighten you and to free you from the burden of your ignorance but I will spare all of that till when you've ascertained the height of true spiritualism , comeback and let me know.

No, I don't want you to believe either theory. I just wish you'd use the smart brain you claim you have to seek to know instead.

And before you deceitfully say its not about god, do note you mentioned atheist, which is about gods.

Be open minded so junk enters? Thankfully Alice gave a good response to similar nonsense.

budaatum:

"I can't believe that!" said Alice.

"Can't you?" the Queen said in a pitying tone. "Try again: draw a long breath, and shut your eyes."

Alice laughed. "There's no use trying," she said: "one can't believe impossible things."

"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There

By the time the white men brought you their Christian book, they themselves were reading A Critique of Pure Reason, and hoped you'd understand not to live by bread alone, but would ask and knock and seek for understanding. Yet here we are peddling rubbish that most abandoned when they got enlightened.

For your information, the white men do not practice black magic or juju except when they want to deceive you. They themselves know that the food they eat is created by the sweat of their brow, but it pays them for you to believe you eat manna from heaven, because that way you'd not be able to compete in the market with them.
