Guy rest. I live abroad and it's not boring. The problem is Nigerians want the typical Lagos social life in Canada or any other western country.
I do barbecue party almost every month during summer and invite friends...and vice versa.
Get out of your comfort zone and do new things, go on staycation for few days or even vacation abroad if U can afford it..U will be surprised how cheap the package can be if U plan ahead.
Check out tourist sites in your locality and try some- Boat trips, water parks, lots of amusement park everywhere, local shows, ventriloquist/muppets, concerts, fiesta, so many. Try new restaurants with your fiancΓ©e or family- Italian, Indian, mexican, Asian, Mediterranean, Spanish etc.
If U like clubs, enter night life. There are even afro clubs springing up everywhere.

Everything is not about going to joint and chopping isi ewu or guzzling guilder. Have an open mind, abroad is not boring, it's how U define fun.

Living in denial of the truth. The point ive made is the reason most ppl after 15 or 20 years abroad eventually all head back to Nigeria. The loneliness culture also leads to the high drug usage and mass shootings

The most important thing is securing the bag, wether lonely or not.

The op said he bought his bike 2k USD and his friend bought his for 7k USD, u know no how much be that for naija?

Dude, nobody really cares about this loneliness stuff, like do you all want Canada to be filled with population like the way Nigeria is extra populated without any development? Nawa.

Is it not better to cook, eat , sleep, go to work, make money and go to church in Canada? Which enjoyment dey Nigeria ? Y'all should stop this loneliness bullshit crap.

securing the bag might be the most important thing for you but not for everyone.

Yes, that is how much they are sold. So cycling isn't for everyone as i have said especially for Most Naigerians or africans. Why do you compare how much $7000 or $5000 is in Naigeria? Should we also travel to Naija to eat Mcdonald? Pay rent? Mortgages? Some people drive cars worth $30,000 or more in Canada, should they have sent that cash to Naigeria and not drive in Canda? Some people own houses worth $300, 000 should live in the streets in Canada and send that 300k to Naigeria. Come on! You should be more intelligent that this.

Dude, you may not care but don't say no body cares, some people do care. It is nothing to do with populations, people can still be lonely in Naigeria. You wouldn't understand so no need to keep explaining the best way to understand is to experience it.

Might be better for you or some but not for everyone, i don't go to church or pray, do i cook? Yes! Sleep? Yes! But i also cycle, i join in many other physical activities or events, some people do not want to wait till they visit Naigeria before they all do that. I see, it is all about making money for you, well... It isn't all about money for some.

I bet you $1000 this your views would change once you enter Canada and live for 3 years or more.

At the bolded is the goal dude.

Imagine staying in a place with less noise and feel people. That heavenly bro.

If you're in Canada, I'll urge you to come back to Nigeria and stay since you're very lonely in Canada

I can understand it is about money for YOU grin

Why do you also compare the prices of stuffs in Canada with the Naigerian currency? grin should Naigerians in canada not eat Mcdee because it cost $10? Or drive cars worth $30000 because it is a huge amount in Naigeria? Should they also not own houses worth $300k or pay $2000 rent because the amounts are huge in Naigeria? You have got to be more intelligent than this.

Yea! this same line everyone comes out with on here when you try to educate them yari yari yari yari come back to Naigeria. grin

I don't live in Canada, i visit Canada once in awhile, one of my son lives there with his mother.

I am not lonely, grin never have being, i was just concuring with the guy who mentioned loneliness in Canada. I was born and bred in England, I live in England. I do know people who are lonely, even white people are lonely, people are known to have died as a result of loneliness over here in England. It isn't the kinda lonliness you might think. Loneliness comes in different forms, just because there 1000s of people screaming and shouting in the streets of Lagos one can still be lonely even amongst all that chaos in Lagos.

Believe it or not.

You mistake depression for loneliness?

Since you're not lonely, why speaking for other people? Did they tell you they're lonely?

Dude, come down to Nigeria and stay. Why u dey make noise? Come over to Nigeria and stay and enjoy your life

Are you a doctor? A therapist? How did you arrive at this conclusion? There are even more depression in Naigeria than in Canada. Considering the high cost of living and hardship in Naigeria.

Why are you trying so hard to lmply that people are not lonely in Canada? Folks who live there are telling you that IT CAN be lonely and you are here arguing blindly that it isn't. grin perhaps when you do live there then you might be in the right position to argue that it isn't lonely in canada. Your experience living in Canada might turn out different but for until then........... Chill!

I have being to Naigeria severally, my parents moved back to Naigerian years ago, i was in Naigeria just this last May, i am going again in few weeks time for the burial of my step brother.

I know Naigeria more than you think i do. What? Enjoy how in Naigeria? All the 6 weeks i was there i was told not to leave the house incase i get kidnapped or robbed. I couldn't even cycle in Naigeria. is that the enjoyment? grin or is it that i was able to pick up hookup girls, take them to my house or hotel get drunk and fork them? and repeat. I can also do all that here, As i ve already told you, i am not lonely! I have never being. I go on holiday to Spain, Italy, Miami Naigeria, Thailand atleast every 3 months.

So tell me! Again what is it to enjoy in Naigeria? the roads are bad, No electricity, people are always in fear of being robbed or kidnapped is that it? Come the hell on man! grin

Your idea of enjoyment might be different from mine, you seem to want everyone to see things how you see it. Or want everyone to want what you want or everyone should surely want what you want. Money! Life isn't like that, different people wants different things outta life.

Nice ride.

I ride with my Domaine AL2 Trek bicycle on Saturdays and Sundays. It's made with aluminum cast frame and carbon fork.

Quick question, your bicycle is carbon right and is there a market for used bicycles there. I am looking to ship in sometimes soon cos buying a bike of this grade over here is super-expensive

I know right but the excuse Nigerians keep brining up is that it's crazy cold out there. Yet people keep socializing in that cold with different form of recreational activities, e.g.lake skiing.

I am starting to wonder what socialization really means, maybe it's purely based on locality as you earlier pointed out.

you train for it, build endurance and stamina with time. My friend a fellow Nigerian did 230km recently in 6 hours .

My friend drives a 7k USD bike. Mine is a budget Chinese brand of less than 2k USD import duties inclusive made of carbon fibre. Does the job. Last season i was riding a cheap bike which was heavy and slow ( made of aluminum) approximately 300 USD. The difference is clear .
