Some gullible folks were insulting me over here few weeks ago about this same issue, I had reported that immigration system will change, the priority will now be domestic draws. I’m currently in Canada and I ask few questions on this thread because it was beneficial to me during my relocation process, I have a kid sister currently schooling in one of the colleges, I wanted her to use to healthcare path way to secure pr, they thought I was been negative, whereas I was just been real, the liberal party lost a bye election recently due to high immigration, Canadians are furious with the current government, with the protest that happened yesterday and with all the complaints they might just bow to the pressure. Change in current immigration policy and reforms coming soon you all should be expectant. Look into provinces that can nominate you, rather than waiting and hoping for general and category draw, be strategic.

You're not wrong... Major changes are coming.
Marc Miller has told provinces to look into more local draws.
The amount of temporary workers and students is staggering, even if they stop all outland draws(doubt it), the amount of PRs for 2024 will still not cut it. It's simply a number's game. What will happen when the PGWP of current students expire?
One just has to keep hope alive while being strategic.

Trudeau's party and their virtue signalling, can't believe the dude and his cohorts have run Canada this down in a couple of years. Well political incompetence is not just an Africa problem.

As per it's our right?
It's their country to do whatever with.
Canada is less prosperous and productive than it used to be, according to news sources.
Housing and healthcare issues, inflation, less wealth among the young, discontent with high immigration levels etc.
This might be one way they're trying to fix things.
Inviting so many people when there are no adequate jobs, homes and strained health care services isn't fair to anyone.
If Canada becomes a copy of Nigeria at present for example, shey you wan go?
It's for us to adapt to their rules.

The reality is that it’s just the game of selfishness covered in being politically correct. Look critically into the comments and profile of people taking this news around. You will see either they are already in canada or they know such news will favour them directly or indirectly. No one discourages people or sow seed of lost hope more than those already in the system and wishes it only benefits them. We have all been here before when Canada announced something and still did a surprise draw. Everyone has a phone to goggle whatever news, whether true or not, but this platform is meant to encourage people to keep pushing even if things looked difficult. To all who want to hear, don’t let whatever anyone says in the name of facts or whatever reality discourage you from updating that Ielts score, writing second language, look into category based draws or doing whatever thing even if you are outside of canada. What will be will surely be.

When I got my nomination, it looked impossible, people's stories encouraged me, then when glorious heart was active,😁, good news was back to back, we encouraged each other here, because that's all we got.

Anything can happen, I disassociate myself with negativity,I don't care how hopeless it's

Lol, don't mind me...
I can talk about the good sides of these immigration policies all day...it's changed the lives of so many.
But I'm also a realist, I'm sorry if it comes across as pessimism.
Immigration rules were not made to favour the immigrants, but the host country, and they certainly were not made to last forever... As soon as standards in the host country starts to fall, guess who becomes scapegoats?
It's like the tide, they'll ebb and flow.
About the pool, I looked to the future, studied for over a year and wrote a difficult exam. I kept hope alive whilst keeping in mind what I was up against.
Being realistic about Canada in 2024 means you can position yourself well. Remember it's a competition, not everyone will win a prize.
My tone is alright.

This is my stance. Canadian immigration laws are changing.
Knowing that french has favoured me in 2024 does not mean it will in 2030.
Time is of the essence. Do what you can now, look at category based draws, get that 6 months experience etc. It's not to sit in the pool, hoping that the 27k CRS of 75 that happened under Mendicino will happen in 2025.
If it happens beautiful, and if it doesn't?

What exactly is your role on this thread? You don’t come here to offer help nor enlightenment but to spread misery and dampen the morale of others. I promise you, there’s something you know right now that could help someone, but you won’t share that. I’ve never seen you respond to any genuine query here other than to be a spokesman for canadian natives that are anti immigrants.

I’d cut you some slack to say perhaps youre doing it unconsciously. If you are, then stop because your posts would discourage alot of people. I’d rather go through the process hoping than to stop along the way becsuse of a discouraging post from someone “who should know”. Remember, most times, all you need to keep going is hope, even if its false hope. Donot take that from people. I wish you the best

This is sad. You still have deep rooted insecurities that can never go away by mere travelling.

Remember, the universe is an echoe chamber of energy and vibration. What ever energy you put out will come to you. If you think you can succeed by dampening the morale of others for your own selfish gain, ha ha ha, think again. The sword of justice is swift . It may turn slowly but it surely turns. Sorry Sir. This is a public forum and fortunately everyone has the right to express their opinions.
If you'd read one or two pages back you'd see the encouraging messages you so seek but have chosen to be blind to. I'm sorry you feel this deeply frustrated, I promise I'm not the cause.

About sharing in real life you don't know me and I'd say more, but I don't need to prove myself to you.
I'll give hope but I'll do it while telling you to shine your eyes and shine it well well.

LMAO you know nothing about insecurities, no point calling kettle black, my self and few others are just been realistic, you have your phone do some research about the ongoing situations in Canada and you will understand a lot rather than attacking people here, no one is telling you not to be hopeful, you have to look out for other options instead of sitting and hoping for miracle. I stated in my earlier post about people looking into provinces that might be a way out, and also trying to learn French cos the French speakers are highly needed over here, you can also look into LMIA that’s the easiest route right now, when you get in you switch to PR. With everything been said if you still think someone is trying to block your progress then you must be delusional. The category based draw could have been beneficial to my kid sis, she has a 478 sitting on the pool, she’s kinda nonchalant reason why she didn’t get the previous health care draw around February she submitted her profile a day after the draw was done, what can we do we have to stay positive and look out for other options, I owe ircc nothing, I’m just an immigrant. If you like keep attacking people here and don’t find way forward. Before I leave you can check Twitter another draw just dropped, and it’s for pnp that’s the provincial nominee program.

Please what is LMIA?
LMIA is labour market Impact assessment, its allows employers within Canada to hire people from overseas, lots of folks have benefited from this and switched into permanent resident months or a year after landing in Canada, but lately it’s been difficult to get it without payment, back then it’s for free you apply online, they set you up for interview and that’s all but lately due to the high competition it’s coming with prices, my advice is if you can afford to get it go for it when you get in here switching to pr is not a big deal. You can be extremely lucky and get it for free, apply online luck can be on your side.

Hi,
I'm so sorry about what you are going through. It can be really frustrating but don't give up.
My advise will be for you to try the following:
1. Try building up your CV with the help of some AI tools online (the secret of being called or contacted by most HR's is an attractive CV). Make sure your Cv alligns with the job you are applying for, for example if it's a logistics planner role you are applying for, make sure you av previous work experience with logistics.
2. Applying for Jobs is usually a job on it's own. Try and set a target per day. 30 applications minimum. I understand it's alot but imagine applying for 30 jobs per day, there is no how, in 7 days, you won't get called for an interview after applying for 210 jobs a week. Even if no one calls you that week you've applied. Just keep applying.
3. Set up a LinkedIn account if you don't have one, try and stay active then apply for all the jobs you see there close to your area or places you can use public transportation to. You can even apply for jobs that were uploaded 3days ago to the current day you are applying (pls make sure the roles you are applying for can be defended by you. More like when you are called for an interview, you can have something to say about the role)
4. You can create an account via Canada job bank and apply for jobs posted there. (Personally i prefer LinkedIn but you can try that too)
5. You can also try applying via Indeed too.
6. Some companies might reject your application, but don't let it stop. Just keep trying and don't give up.
7. If you are not limited to working in a particular province, i will advise you to apply for jobs in other provinces after giving yourself an additional one month in Manitoba.

I wish you all the best.

Hello brothers and sisters I beg you people please it’s it’s time I speak out. I’ve been in Winnipeg for almost 8 months now and I can’t even get a job. I’ve applied to all kind of jobs both online and in person and everything seems daunting. I beg you all please help me with connection. I beg you in the name of God almighty. Bills choke and I’m out of funds to even pay rent. I need a connection for job my people please. I am currently in Winnipeg Manitoba. Please someone should ransom me abeg.

No. It doesn't have to be your first language. You need a minimum of nclc 7 in all 4 skills.

Not at all.
You can put french as your first and/or only language. It can also be the second.

Yes. As long as you have NCLC 7 and meet the cutoff, you'll get an invitation.
