I think PDP as a party, coming out to say the members have not defected and APC claiming they are not on their party register yet is a big blow for Fubara's camp.

Not sure if the video evidence of these lawmakers will be enough.

Jurisdiction of the State High Court to entertain this matter is another thing.

The Wike's camp may win this.

Wike camp will won the case. The state high court lacks the jurisdiction to entertain the matter.

Also, PDP told the court the 24 lawmakers are their members while APC maintain the lawmakers are not their members.

Video evidence or affidavit not enough to proof this case.

Fubara camp may head to supreme Court but may not secure a stay of execution.

The 24 lawmakers are likely to resume sitting from tomorrow.

Jumbo and the others will remain suspended.

Fubara may lose this but that of the LGA he Fubara has an upper hand.

Both Wike and Fubara are acting childishly

How are they acting childish, Wike has said it must be by his terms or nothing else, Fubara gave him so much allowance in his government, chief of staff, commissioners for works, finance, justice, environment, housing, agriculture and several others was given to Wike and many special advices and assistants positions. But still he wants to control the approvals of contracts, he saw the wife of the governor that was in Abuja for a meeting with the first lady of other states governors with Remi Tinubu and he started shouting at her why she brought the state jet to Abuja, what authority does he have, there lots of disrespectful characters he displayed that was really unbecoming that should be put to an end, that's not what other do, people taking sides with Wike wouldn't take half of Fubara is taking, shouting agreement is agreement

One side of the story

With Wike there's no one side, the commissioners was there for all to see and several of his actions, his current issues with Ireti would tell you the kind of man he is, this is not the kind of person we need in our democracy at the moment because everything about him is antidemocratic

Last week, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu led some senators to Rivers to advise Fubara to accept whatever be the outcome of the court hearing in the case in Rivers state.

Few days ago Wike put up a public dance.

I hope it's not what I am thinking?

National Assembly has scraped State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) now empowering INEC to conduct state election and also granting autonomy to LGs.
If Fubara loses (as expected) it will be upper cut from wike.
Just as one commentator opined, wife's sudden calmness and silence will have alot of meanings. And again his recent dancing steps has been typical of 'e go pain, but e go sweet us'.

With the dance Wike danced some days ago, I think he is confident of the out come of the judgement.

Looks like he has clearly done his underground work.

He does not need to do any kind of underground work on this particular issue. The members defection is a comedy skit. As members of a State Assembly, their defections should be duly and properly written on a letter headed paper and signed by them and issued to their respective Ward Chairmen and also a copy handed to the National Leadership in Abuja. That is the process and that is what those before them and even recently have done as it relates to defection.
Now, you still can't say they are members of the APC for there's no record of them in the official records of the party.

Regarding the bolded, logically there's actually no upper hand for Fubara. It can't be said he won literally because though the tenure of the former elected chairmen was not extended, those who were made Caretaker Chairmen will be easily removed from office because both are unconstitutional if one sites the Federal Constitution which is the bedrock on which all other constitution stands upon.
The only middle ground now will be that they will have to handover to the most senior LG officer in each LG to administer.

So you did not see where the speaker of the house read out their defection letters which they swore and oath to?

The letters were read at the sitting of a plenary in the hallowed chambers? Is that what you call skits?
This implies that every sitting of that speaker with the house of Assembly members are also skit?
So you perform skits in the hallowed chambers?

God how did you join me with people that reason like this together in a country.

And what about the sworn affidavit to a Federal high court about their Defection?
Was that a comedy skit too?

I actually believe they can wriggle their way out of this.

And that's only only only because Nigeria itself is a comedy skit.

Sworn affidavit for defection is not permitted in Court.
There are rules and laws.
If you want to resign from a job that you were duly employed, do you go and get an affidavit for such ?

Governor Fubara will defeat Wike and his followers that called themselves lawmakers in the court of Appeal. The court of justice is highly clear on the case.

Wrong comparison.

If I have a problem with my previous employers,, and they deny that I resigned from them.

I could go to a court and swear on oath that I did resign.

And if in future the courts find that I lied on oath, I could be prosecuted..

Make Una no dey twist common sense because of Wike abeg.

The only thing that can save those 27 is for the PDP National to deny that they defected from their party.

The same PDP National that once announced that the 27 were no longer their members and called for INEC to conduct elections to fill the seats.

All that changed when Damagun decided to sell his soul.

But for the oath and sworn affidavit, they are liable for prosecution cus they did lie under oath.
