What exactly is your role on this thread? You don’t come here to offer help nor enlightenment but to spread misery and dampen the morale of others. I promise you, there’s something you know right now that could help someone, but you won’t share that. I’ve never seen you respond to any genuine query here other than to be a spokesman for canadian natives that are anti immigrants.

I’d cut you some slack to say perhaps youre doing it unconsciously. If you are, then stop because your posts would discourage alot of people. I’d rather go through the process hoping than to stop along the way becsuse of a discouraging post from someone “who should know”. Remember, most times, all you need to keep going is hope, even if its false hope. Donot take that from people. I wish you the best

But aurora,e is not wrong. Back in 2019/2020 a score around 470 was considered quite high. Now, that score is going nowhere unless its a category based draw. There's a category that cuts high now sef (STEM). We just have to be realistic while being optimistic. There's no point staying in the pool with a score of say, 460 and hoping the scores come down when the last general draw cut off was around 550 or so. We have to find other ways to better position ourselves. Anything you can do to help yourself/boost your points, do it

French draws seem stable now but for how much longer? No one knows. Initially, french draws were cutting 300s. That last French draw was 410. It might increase further, it might not but its better to act quickly especially as learning a language is not easy at all plus the costs associated with it.

I think its a bit unfair to say She's been spreading misery. This is someone that went through the French learning process herself back in 2023 when scores were not even as high as they are now. She's also quite active and helpful on the tef thread. So advising people to learn French (or find some other way to increase their odds) because the general draws don't seem forthcoming is not wrong.

We don't like truths in Nigeria (it is better to get sweet words and a profile expires). Tell them to do like Kenyans and they tell you to come back to lead it..but they are not telling you to come back when it is black tax time.

Shows IRCC can't be predicted. Where are those saying Canada is done with draws cheesy

Stay ready and be positive if you're in this journey. Draws for your category can happen anytime.

Good day everyone, I currently have a challenge and I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I was selected for EE draw last year and I've passed both medical and biometrics. My main challenge here is that after all my suffering of preparing and writing TEF (which set me back almost 3 years) IRCC sent me a PFL saying they can't verify my TEF language tests. I currently don't know what to do. I have reached out to Alliance française where I sat for the exams and they aren't forthcoming. Now I have a few more days before the 30 days I was given expires and all I have is the mails I got from the centre when I paid, the schedule they sent me and the mail I got when my result came out.

NB: In the mail I got for the result, I activated the result and changed my password then but what I noticed now is that when I log in now all I get is a blank white page which wasn't the case before now

Good news and COPR time

I have been a silent member here but i have gained so much from reading others stories and the timeline. It gave me hope, encouragement and helped me compare it to my timeline while in waiting. I hope my story does samefor those in waiting.

Jan 2023 - Entered EE pool with score of 431 so i decided to wait for category based draws

Sept 2023- Transport catergory draws 435. I was heart broken. came here and read where some1 said one can try unaccompany and that score might be higher. WES and uni was frustrating us for wifey. Hence change to unaccompany point jumped to 450.

December 2023- ITA
Jan 2024 - AOR
March 2024- RL for IELTS
March 2024- Biometric and Medicals
April 2024 -RPFL -POF update
May 2024 - Request Letter for Background clearance forms update
May 8, 2024- PPR
May 13, 2024- PP submited via vfs
July 4, 2024- PP in hand.

IRCC probably couldn’t reach them too, hence the PFL.

I think your best bet now is to submit screenshots of all the emails you got from Alliance Francaise, including those you sent to them for confirmation after receiving the PFL and include an explanation letter in your submission before the 30day deadline. This is high irresponsibility from AF.

Hmmm, sorry about your whole situation:

I will recommend you do the following (pls note that my advise to you wld be based on what i wld do if i were in your shoes)

As for the password you changed it might seem a bit confusing cos you sat for the exam and obviously you created your login details i guess, or did someone register for the exam on your behalf (if yes, den what was the need for the password change as i personally don't think it should affect your result). If there is no result that means no exam was sat for or maybe you have been scammed by the agent you used. That is if you used one. Or maybe there is an expiration to when your result can be viewed online. I personally have not taken the french exam so i don't know about their rules and all.

1. Instead of sending emails, take a day off from work or school and go to the centre where you registerd for the exam and lay your complaint there. This is a serious issue so they should be able to give you an answer

2. If you didn't take the exam yourself (i am not saying you didn't, just incase you didn't) don't bother escalating the issue, cos obviously the centre won't be able to help you and that will be an issue with IRCC if they find out something was fishy.

Your only option here is to go to the centre and complain, I am sure there will be a way for them to retrieve your results if you go in person.

It is just a little confusing cos i believe that wen you were sent your result the first time, i am sure there might have been an option for you to download it, which i guess is what you uploaded for your PR application. So IRCC not being able to verify the result only means that the result isn't legit. That's my 2cent though.

I wish you goodluck🙏

Lol, don't mind me...
I can talk about the good sides of these immigration policies all day...it's changed the lives of so many.
But I'm also a realist, I'm sorry if it comes across as pessimism.
Immigration rules were not made to favour the immigrants, but the host country, and they certainly were not made to last forever... As soon as standards in the host country starts to fall, guess who becomes scapegoats?
It's like the tide, they'll ebb and flow.
About the pool, I looked to the future, studied for over a year and wrote a difficult exam. I kept hope alive whilst keeping in mind what I was up against.
Being realistic about Canada in 2024 means you can position yourself well. Remember it's a competition, not everyone will win a prize.
My tone is alright.

Why dont we all protest on social media and other avenues?

Immigrating to Canada isn't our right, so protesting would do nothing. The immigration program is meant to favour Canada first of all before it favours the immigrants.

Check the link below, maybe you could find some useful French resources.

If you need a French tutor, contact me or check my profile for details.

My own ban expired yesterday. Nairaland spam bot abeg allow us to write in french o...we're trying to learn the language. In my own case, the post was even in English undecided

Download TEF study materials here

They are mostly grammar and vocabulary books but I found the alter ego books especially helpful.
Most of the materials here are from DelPiero at canada visa

P.S. some materials are still uploading thanks to my superslow internet connection but hopefully before the end of the week..

YouTube is a great resource, but with a lot of options it can get confusing.
What level are you at?

I called the centre, and they said I should come on Monday. I've also sent a mail to the Paris office as well, hoping to hear from them soon but I'd be at the centre on Monday

Personally, I think only domicilliary care workers can't use the 33102 code, because they work in client's homes and not any care settings ( I might be wrong ). Also, your job title doesn't really matter, it's the job descriptions.
Anyone using the 33102 should make sure their job duty is atleast 70% of the duties listed on the code.
