This amount is just for about 9 months. Imagine what they did for years. You sure say dem go pay the money? How dem go take distribute the money to customers? EEDC is a big scam. It is said that prepaid meters are not the properties of the customers. But new customers pay for the meters. When a customer pays for the meter, EEDC creates an account for the customer, gives the customer power supply with estimated billing for months before providing the customer with the meter. Why do new customers pay for the meters when they can't own the meters? And why must the customers suffer estimated billing for months before getting the meters? descarado:When the major victims of the over-billing are those billed with estimation? 48 Likes |

Realtord43: They're not likely to pay back cash. From the meter numbers they will have to forfeit future bills to balance what they stole from the customers. 22 Likes 1 Share |

This is the right sanctions for EEDC, if they don't want to comply, NERC can just direct we the customers to take law into our hands and recover these crazy billed money in over billing The EEDC made over 10B naira last month yet can't increase the salary of their workers only to put too pressure on them threatening them with non performance leading to indiscriminate disconnection and the resultant bribery in the form of reonnectiin fees Enugu state government showed them pepper last month by sealing their offices including their cooperate Headquarters 5 Likes

Can't the south east governors demand for this money and use it to generate power, for the south east alone? Add money and build something like the geometric power in abia state and reduce cost of purchasing power for the residents?? 2 Likes |

Everlastingson: I apply for prepaid meter, with new account. Ikeja electric say I go open account and come sign say I go pay for bill wey I no use, then I go come apply for prepaid meter. You see say this country na crooks and wicked people full am. I no get wires for pole and I no use light but you want make I pay for light wey I no use. In what way is different from the agbero system. Agbero is the only group of people in this country that has no motor or bus but earn millions on daily basis for being lazy. You can tell that something is fundamentally wrong with us. |
