Comfortable living is not a guarantor of living long, but I'm certain you would rather live a short comfortable life than a long miserable one. I know I would.

A person who lives wisely will enjoy their life much more than an ignorant miserable person would enjoy theirs, even if the ignorant person lives longer than the wise person.

No, I don't think death renders all what we work hard for and how we live our lives as vanity. You and I have been living (conversing) here with one another, and you have done so wisely, which I am certain you worked hard for. If you had thought your conversing with me were vanity, we'd likely be living here insulting each other instead of learning about each other. And even after either of us dies, the living you will remember this our living together with delight, as opposed to the misery with which we would remember each other if we had lived here together miserably selfishly thinking our life here were vanity.
Are you saying after a person dies, there is still time for the person to reflect how he lived his life?

No. I'm saying the living might reflect how the dead lived their life.

In fact, the living often reflect how the dead lived their life when they bury the dead.

No, Ken, i do not believe Lord Luggard algamated Nigeria just because history recorded it.

I can write a story here that I have 2 heads and next year provide it as evidence of my 2 heads, but I'm very certain you will not believe I have 2 heads just because I provided my story I wrote that I have 2 heads.

There are documents signed at the time that one can check in Nigeria and in Lord Luggard's country to verify if Lord Luggard algamated Nigeria or not. That is how one tests all spirits, instead of just believing his story.

Do you know that eye witness account that agrees in oral or written text can also be used to authenticate a claim or validate historical facts?

The bible says there's an afterlife.

That's the Greatest truth ever
The Bible is a book filled with contradictions and lies.
How do you still hold this book as perfect?

From the evidences of the scripture. Here are a few evidences;

1. Man was created in the image and likeness of God. Since God is a Spirit, it means that the real man is also a spirit being. And since God is eternal, the spirit of man is also eternal.

2. The scripture says the blood of slained Abel cried out to God after he was killed by Cain his brother. It proves that though Abel was physically dead but his blood cried out to God. It means that he was still alive in the realm of the Spirit.

3. The death of Jonah. Jonah died in the belly of a fish. But the scripture said Jonah cried from the belly of hell. It means that his soul was alive and went to hell. He even narrated how he descended to hell.

4. The statement of Jesus concerning the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They are tagged dead but Jesus quoted God as saying;

Mat 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

5. The story of the rich man and Lazarus. They both died. One went to hell and the other to paradise or Abraham’s bosom This is a clear example that the afterlife is real.

6. Jesus died and rose again. If there is no afterlife, there would have been no more Jesus after he died. Jesus rose from the dead and he is alive forevermore.
How do you know all these are true?

The Bible does not record eye witness account. It was written after the fact. No one was there recording God say "let there be light", and research has shown the gospels were written long after Christ died.

Besides, eye witness accounts are unreliable and need to be corroborated with further evidence. You will know this if you'd ever seen the wrong person burnt for theft on Nigeria streets because eyes claimed they witnessed what they never saw, or people claiming their pastor raised the dead they never certified dead.

Below is from the beginning of Luke, "handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses", which makes it second witness account at best, as in "they say they saw" and Luke wrote it, which even makes it a third account. You'd find discrepancies in what was supposedly eyewitnessed in other gospels too.

You don't get my point. If you know that committing suicide is not the end of life, that there is a life after death with the possibility of ending up in a burning flame, you will refrain from it.

Most people do it because of ignorance and also because of wrong knowledge they have acquired through the years about what death really means. If you take my admonition as a threat, it also means that you are accusing Jesus of doing the same because he spoke of hell or eternal damnation more than any in the Bible. He even cursed some nations into hell.

How do you know there is afterlife

You believe Lord Luggard amalgamated Nigeria because history recorded it. The birth, death, burial, resurrection and ascension of our Lord Jesus is not just an historical fact, history itself revolves around Jesus. Jesus is the reference point of all historical information. Even your birthday is with reference to Jesus. And you are still asking for proof of his existence when you can't keep records of your life history without him.
No sir. The birth, death and resurrection of Jesus isn't a historical fact. Name one historical book it was recorded in

What is even more terrible is them asking me to ignorantly stupidly gullibly believe them.

How people can be so deceptively evil is way beyond me.

All of that is still of no benefit to the person who has died. Does how the Living think about a person who has died affect the person that is been buried?

Its called herd mentality. Most Africans believe stuff that are stupid because everyone else believes it. Their defense is 'they can't all be wrong and you are right'. They ignore facts, logic and evidence

Then I guess you do not see the benefit of you conversing intelligently here, and will see it even less when you die.

I myself have benefitted immensely from you conversing intelligently with me, and I will continue to benefit from your living long after you die (though I will hopefully die before you).

One just need see the selfish idiots conversing on here to appreciate intelligent you, dead or alive.

Because we want to live, lol.

What makes us not to live forever?
Our cells live and die, and new ones are created, and after a while this process of re-creation of cells gets weakened, or error prone. Our organs gradually weaken and we die

Morality improves the quality of life. For example, living in an area filled with armed robbers would make one fearful and live a fear-filled life. Now imagine if there is less armed robberies, one can then enjoy life
