Work experience does NOT need to match education/degree for FSW (except for practicing Doctors/Pharmacists). FSW work experience is not about what you studied as a degree, but what you do/did in your job e.g. an engineering graduate working as a barber must choose the NOC for barbers not engineers. Also your job description in your reference letter must match the barber NOC. In order to be assigned points under FSW for foreign (non- Canadian) work experience, you must have performed the actions described in the lead statement, a substantial number of the main duties, including all essential duties of your chosen NOC and be paid.

Good Morning Everyone
Please I need your opinion.
I’m a pharmacist by profession and I have picked my NOC and put in my work experience as well. I didn’t get ITA from the last draw. Now someone suggested something for which I have come to seek your wise counsel. Remember that when filing in your work experience in your profile, for every job you have done you will be required to select an NOC code for that job before stating the duration you worked for all of that. The suggestion was that I should edit the NOC of my first job (title and experience) to that of pharmacy assistant while I leave my other jobs (titles and experiences) to be under the pharmacist NOC. Reasons been that for the healthcare draw pharmacists are not usually selected just pharmacy assistants. My question is that is it advisable to do that even though the roles of my first job is quite similar to that of the pharmacy assistant. Also pharmacists on this forum that have gotten ITA from the healthcare draw and those that are in the pool should please drop their opinion as well. The whole thing has just been confusing me so I thought to ask for help.
Thank you and hope to hear from you all.

I started almost as soon as i entered the pool in Feb but my final attempt at TEF was in September, so i would say about 6 months intensively, lessons were packaged to my situation. It is important to note that i had studied upto Delf B2 level before (10 yrs or so prior to the brush up lessons). So I was already familiar/conversant with french grammar and vocabulary. I just needed a refresher course to avoid making small unnecessary errors as well as to get upto speed on the changes over the years. Languages do change over time. I hope i answered your question.

best of luck.
Thank you, I'm asking because I intend to learn french in 6months but I have no prior knowledge of learning the language.

The bolded is generic. You can use CES, advisably. They assess Llb as a professional degree.

Thank you 🙏

Hello, Please has anyone gotten a job offer or job invite from job bank? should one rely on them?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by bolaswill: 1:36pm On Jul 11
I graduated from LASU & I did my evaluation with IQAS and few weeks ago I got my ECA report, LLB evaluated as Professional degree.
So may be what you stated is a new development.
Sletchy:
Good Day, I’m in need of assistance. I’m new in the traveling process and trying to evaluate my credentials from LASU with Iqas. I want to know if anyone from LASU has successfully gotten theirs evaluated. This is because after inserting my details on their site, Iqas claimed LASU has conditional institution status which means my credentials may or may not be assessed cry if there’s any LASU alumni who can attest to using their service I’ll really appreciate Or if anyone knows which ECA association is advisable for LLB. Thank you

A way to know this is to proceed with your application, you will get to the page where the total fees is computed for you and what you need to pay.

Hello Guys....

on the wes portal, do I have to only indicate that I have an HND since wes wants our highest degree?

Or I have to indicate both ND and HND like the picture below?

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Brunobia(f): 3:29pm On Jul 11
Pls has anyone used spouse unaccompanied before?
Or known someone who has?
After ITA, what were your reason or reasons that you filled in your application for spouse unaccompanied.
We all know the major reason we do that (for ext** po**ts) but I can't put that there.
Can anyone suggest a good reason that will make sense and I hope the visa officer won't request for ADR or proof.
Thanks.
Suggestions pls.

For context, my sister is a pharmacist and claimed experience as a pharmacist assistant. Previous experience which she populated in her personal history, indicates she was a pharmacist in different organizations. She got ITA and subsequently, her visa has been issued with no problem. I can confidently state that there is no problem claiming experience with pharmacist assitant. Make sure your reference letter reflects the responsibilities of an assistant and evaluate your degree with PEBC (pharmacy evaluating board of Canada). All the best.

3050... It's for both of you. Except you don't want to pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee now. You'll be told to pay it later as your application progresses.
When you get to the last page prior to submission, you'll see the total.

Hi,
That’s a sound advise as most fresh Pharmacy graduates in Nigeria do Pharmacy Assistant roles for their 1 year paid internship, some even continue to do most of the main duties of pharmacy assistant NOC afterwards(NYSC and post NYSC). So if that’s applicable to you and your work reference letter indicates same you should be fine. Just make sure the pharmacy assistant job is within past 3 years & the job lasted at least 6 months.
Also ensure your reference letter states pharmacy assistant and the roles are similar to the NOC code.
Cheers

P.S
I know someone that did same without issues.
