I agree with you, but these Local boys are boys who probably support the club and live locally, and we just easily drafted them into the academy, not due to any genius scouting. That our best academy products are local boys is clear indication that the club is not scouting at all.

When i say local i mean local to Britain, and even if they were local to Manchester the same applies to nearly every club. The odds of going elsewhere to bully the local club over their top talent is low in the UK. The best bet is to steal from the poor academies around age 16, like we did Amass.

For City, Foden, Rico Lewis and Palmer are local to Manchester. Sancho was from London.

For Arsenal; Saka, ESR, Nketiah, Reiss Nelson are all from London.

For Liverpool; TAA and Curtis Jones are both from Liverpool.

For Chelsea; Chalobah and Reece James are from London. Musiala also grew up partially in London. Mount and Gallagher are not.

For us, Mainoo; Rashford, Wheatley are from Manchester but Greenwood, Amass, Hannibal are not.

Exactly. It was our first preseason game after 1 week of training, against a team that is in the middle of their own league season. They were obviously much sharper than us.

By the last couple of pre-season games and the Community Shield we would know how far in terms of performances. I am particularly interested in how we press and how we beat the press with patterns of play.

He started in 5 out of 6 games and wasn't subbed off.

Martinez is world class. Hopefully he stays fit for us throughout the season.

Apart from that, the team we faced are in the middle of their season. So they've got total fitness.
