Pls stop discouraging people. If you don't wanna protest, keep it in your mind.

How can you tell people to be happy in servitude and you're even telling them to accept it for 16yrs. What kind of hopelessness is this?

Tinubu will do 8yrs. Complete 8 years for that matter

And oh! Shettima will do 8years too. You can go mark it down anywhere.

No one is discouraging anyone, we are just saying they should keep their protests outside SE. Don't bring the useless protest to our homeland.

We are not hopeless, we have governors and we have Aku luo Uno to channel our energy on.

Allow the owners of Nigeria and those who know how to play better politics do their thing.

Say no to protest in the east. So that in future no body from the south west will try the nonsense they did in ojota under jona. Secondly, no protest will lay to rest any Yoruba man critiquing any govt in future when they have failed.

You forgot that your brothers have shops in Southwest. Once riot breaks out during the protest, those shops are usually the first target of louts and thugs.

At the moment, Lagos State Government is silent. That silence is very loud to reasonable people. You don't know what they are planning against those who want to hide under the canopy of protest to wreck havoc.
You are a fool.

These are less than 2000 men holding 220 million to ransom. Totally unacceptable!

There's no long term plan that justifies looking on, with this approach, some people will never experience good governance

Nnaa, nkwucha aburo ujo.
Igbo approach to Nigeria now will be nkwucha.

Our approach will be to endure long enough until Nigeria collapse under debt.
It mustn't be in our current generation or the next.
But that should be the goal.
Channel all that energy at getting better governors at home and continuing our Aku luo uno campaign.

Work more on getting all Igbo groups outside SE to be zoned to SE.

Nwanne, that debt will be paid by all parts of Nigeria and we are the most adept at surviving under such conditions having seen hell in Biafra.

We are not cowed, we are just trying a different approach towards disentangling ourselves from the Nigerian web.
Self preservation is a good strategy. We will pay the debt in the future.
Let the rest of the country lead the charge for better Nigeria, let's relax for once and enjoy the scenery.

If Tinubu survives the 4yrs and come for 4 more yrs, even the SE governors wont be held accountable after pledging loyalty to Tinubu.

The greatest thing politicians fear is unity and saying we shouldn't get involved is playing to what they want. Keep us divided

It is what it is bro.
The war you want to fight now has been fought and lost in 1967-70.

Unless you now have superior weapons and atleast one of the Five super powers, preferably China or Russia to back you now, I'd suggest you pipe low and don't be another Nzeogwu that will set in place a chain reaction that will lead to same result.
Remember that it started as Operation Wetie and Wild Wild west in the Western region, but in the end, it ended in Biafran war with the rest of the country Vs Igbo.
We must learn our lesson and learn to stay off such issues and mind our business.

If you want to help Igboland. Help in making sure no such protest takes place in your part of Igboland, join in Aku luo uno campaign, join in the Unification of Igboland project, protest for good governance from our governors.

That's how you show love to yourself as an Igbo man and to Igboland our motherland.

SE governors should pledge allegiance to Tinubu if it ensures we get more federal allocations in terms of federal road projects and infrastructures in our region.
Peeps like you should smell the coffee already and stop being emotional.
Nigeria never had any future since 1970.
All we can do is to take as much as we can take from her now before it collapses in God knows when while avoiding any violence that could destroy our hard built infrastructure in the SE that we literally built by ourselves.

I can't understand why you can't see my points.

APC know how they got those two states.
They know that Igbo commoners are rabidly anti APC!
I'm sure you yourself know this but are only playing to the gallery.
Someone that finished 4th in an election was made the governor in Imo state!
Dave Umahi was a PDP man that used his control of Ebonyi rigging machinery and the good will of the people towards him to install an APC governor.

Will never take responsibility for your actions and deeds.... Is Umahi and those electec under APC are not from SE region?
You are here generalizing your own single opinion as if that's the general view of the whole region.

Not just SE anywhere in the Country at that.

What is the point the failure personified called tinubu will still use his 8yrs unless APC breaks.

Op add the fact that when the protest turns into the endsars madness and shops and business begins to go down,Igbos will be majorly affected all over the Country.

Make una rest or go on total shut down strike but protest at this time when the failure personified called tinubu don use unimaginable hunger and suffering choke everywhere, this protest might turn into a socio-strata war where those who have more than the angry hungry protesters will be targeted for looting.

Let them do the protest. I agree with Uzodinma that SE youths should not join any protest against the government. We have refused to be the fall guy.

APC is an abomination in Igboland.
Know this and know peace.
Even APC people know this and they don't take Igbos who are in APC in their midst serious.
Because they know such people have no political capital and can't deliver SE to them in any national elections and they press this home by making sure they politically exclude SE from appointments and selections in places of power.
You are the average Nigerian allergic to the truth, so I'm not surprised by your opinions here.

Igbos will not join in the protest and should not join in the protest.

However, if the Lagos state government tries to display bravado by targeting Igbo interests in Lagos, during the almost-nationwide protests, this may be the cue that will get Igbos to participate fully in the protest.

Around January and February during the Hunger protests, Igbos clearly said they wouldn't be a part of it, and they kept to that.
In this upcoming protest, Igbos are saying they won't be a part of it, however if Igbos feel targeted, even though they are not a part of the protest........ Let me not finish this statement. Just count your teeth with your tongue.

These are reasons why no reasonable and Igbo thinking Igbo man should be involved in the planned protest:

1. You have already been marked as number one opposition to APC.
Once this protest starts, you will be used as the scapegoat by the government to teach others lessons, while others will stylishly rescind and even join in bashing you.
It has happened before. Stay off the useless protest.

2. You stand to gain nothing from the protest. If Tinubu resigns or steps down, you are not 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th in line to take over from him.
You will be stupid to offer Igbo head to be used to break a coconut others will enjoy while you stay sidelined as usual.

3. The protest in the SE will easily be hijacked by questionable characters like Simon Ekpa who is being controlled by external anti Igbo elements within and outside Nigeria. Simon Ekpa and his branch of IPOB are fifth columnists and Trojan horses implanted by enemies of Ndiigbo to destroy our land.
If you stupidly join this protest, Ekpa will make sure destruction and confrontation with Nigerian army happens by unleashing his armed boys to cause mayhem and justify Nigerian army violence on all of us.
Be careful not to start what you don't have control over.

4. SE is not the worst hit by APC failure in governance.
We always knew APC had nothing to offer hence as a progressive race, we have stood as a bastion of stiff opposition to APC since 2015 and have paid the ultimate prize of political exclusion for it while the rest of Nigeria including SS got a fair share of political representation in APC, as they have held both deputy senate and Senate posts so far. APC has made sure they returned our resentment towards them with political exclusion and banishment for us.
We knew APC will fail and are better prepared to endure this reality than the rest of the country who claim to be better at playing politics. There is therefore no need to pretend like we expected better from APC by joining a useless protest.
The whole idea of protest is to register a dissatisfaction because you expected better. This isn't the case with SE, hence the redundancy of a protest in SE. Let those who know how to play politics and expected better from APC do the protest.

5. Sometimes, silence is the best answer or what we call "masterly inactivity". We need to retain tactical silence in Nigeria now, stay off issues, let the "owners of Nigeria " to sort themselves out.
You know the popular axiom of "If you wait long enough by the river banks, you will see your enemies float by".
This should be our plan with Nigeria going forward.

With all these reasons outlined so far, it's now obvious why a protest is not the solution for SE.
Let Tinubu see off his 8years and let Shettima do his too.
Let's work with this mindset. Let's get ourselves prepared to win this economic endurance marathon. We are best prepared to win this torture than the rest than the rest of Nigeria as non of them have had to endure 1/100th of what we endured in Biafra or in post Biafra Nigeria until now.

Ekpa is an enemy of Igboland.
A fifth columnists used by Igbo enemies to destabilise our region.
You will learn this and more one day.

A true Igbo nationalist works for economic development of Igboland and the protection of Igbo lives and property.
Ekpa does the opposite, so it's not hard to spot where he belongs, just like those before him like Uwazuruike.

It's unfortunate that many of you lose your discernment ability once any scammer shouts BIAFRA!

When miscreants are involved, hiring both police and private security agents will be enough to handle the situation.

But when a state government is involved, hiring the military and security agents will usually not be enough. The government can easily shut down the market or even demolish the market just to spite Igbos, who are not even involved in the protest, and there is nothing the security agents will be able to do about it.

The best response in such a situation is to become a part of their problem by Igbos outside Igboland, joining the protest in their tens of millions.
