seuntohbad: I hope you know what you are getting yourself into? You are trying to go to a country without the required funds. I hope you know it is no longer certain you will get a job and even if you get, it might not be enough to cater for your needs. I'm sick and tired of Nigerians coming to Canada and complaining Canada this Canada that when they are the ones at fault. A lot of Nigerian students in Canada now are stranded and suffering oooo. Better evaluate your situation very well before you step out. ednut1 no be so? 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Daaaz0409:Hey bro when did you do your biometric and when was it refused? It's really weird that ircc would indicate the option to input your tuition for all years of study and then quote that tuition as first year in your gcms note 😳 2 Likes |

I have questions on canada supervisa, grand parents got request for medical was given in july 4th ,to be done within 30days, but unfortunately , passport of the both grand parents who are principal applicants was discovered to have expired in june 2024. but the grand kids passports have not expired. process for passport renewal on going --- here are my questions 1. Is it appropriate to use expired passport for IOM medical? 2. the 30 days given to do the medical, does it cover weekends or only weekdays? 3. If expired passport cant be used for IOM medicals ,what can be done to meet up with the 30days? 4. is police character certificate required for supervisa? 5. How long does it take for passport to be requested after medicals has been done? 1 Like |

No. You can't use a Naira master card. Either you use a dollar card or virtual dollar card platform that you can fund with Naira and purchase USD. There are no additional charges. fadebayo19: 1 Like |

Daaaz0409: There errors from the VO in the processing specifically in recognition of the amount for tuition. However, you did not explain the lump sum deposits in your father's account with documents. 1 Like |

Kenn55: firstly, you didn’t answer my questions but that’s okay i am using mpower loan along side my proof of funds, i have paid my tuition deposit so don’t make preset assumptions about me. You don’t know me and what i did in my application, i only asked a specific question if you don’t have a answer you might as well not say anything. |

Kenn55: Are they complaining to you or have you housed or clothe any? If they come with nothing is none of your business so stfu. It's better to suffer in Canada than to be slaughtered in Nigeria by bandit. 6 Likes |

fadebayo19: Hi Fadebayo19, 1. Please note that Naira card holders are currently exempt from international transactions. Therefore, you may need to use a dollar-denominated card to pay for your visa fee. 2. When submitting your SP application, you'll be required to pay a total of $235 CAD, comprising a $150 CAD study permit fee and an $85 CAD biometric fee (if you don't have a valid one). Note that these two fees are the only charges you'll incur until your application is received. Wishing you good luck with your application. |

Yeezy24: Has anyone seen this situation before please? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by SOPWriter: 9:09am On Jul 18 |
Flakky26: Hi Flakky26, 1. Professionally, I wouldn't advise them to present expired passports at IOM, as the documents are now invalid. 2. Yes, the processing time includes weekends. 3. Weighing their circumstances, I would recommend they email IRCC for an extension, explaining their passport situation, and then proceed to IOM to do the same. This will reveal their available options. (IOM will likely conduct the examination for them.) 4. PCC requirements vary by individual circumstances, but it is mostly optional for TRVs. Therefore, it is not mandatory if they have no criminal records and haven't lived outside Nigeria for more than six months in the past ten years. 5. After their medical examination is received by IRCC, it can take some days to a few weeks before they receive their final decision. Wishing the grandparents good luck with their applications. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by SOPWriter: 9:30am On Jul 18 |
Yeezy24: There's no cause for alarm, Yeezy24. Your case is common for family members' applications evaluated independently based on their merits and processing timelines. Please be patient; their decisions will be out soon. However, if you're running out of time, a reminder email to IRCC wouldn't hurt. Congratulations on your approval, and I wish your family good luck with their applications! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Yeezy24: 10:02am On Jul 18 |
SOPWriter: Thank you SOPWriter. Really appreciate. Do you know if their VV will be faster than the 6 moths VV is currently processing for. I was hoping applying together would make it faster, but now I’m feeling it might be the same as applying separately. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by SOPWriter: 10:30am On Jul 18 |
Yeezy24: Not necessarily the same timeline. In fact, even for some regular VV hopefuls, their applications received decisions within 4 weeks, and they're not on CAN+. So, no one can ascertain the duration, but your family will most likely receive a faster outcome than 6 months. As I said earlier, if you're short on time, your best bet would be emailing IRCC or raising a webform to expedite your application, as it's disrupting your schedule. In the end, it's going to be a spectacular extravaganza. |

That wasn't the problem you had multiple lump sum unexplained and probably didn't back it up with documents and your sponsor's source of funds probably was not documented or convincing enough, if you want to reapply kindly explain the lump sum and proof the source of funds of your sponsor.
