Tell that to Otti still paying 15k.

Probably that’s why people are now eating from the dustbin in some part of the state like we saw in that video.

If Federal can get 70k, at least they can afford some Congo of rice. Abia workers don’t have such luxury coz they can’t even afford one bag of garri.
Otti has not even paid the 15k, he promised to start paying it from this month

Instead of these labour leaders to fight for fuel price reduction they are wasting time on minimum wage. This amount will solve nothing & only benefit a few as compared to reduction in fuel price

The greatest sellout is the labour who accepted this rubbish from the government. A friend once told me that those Labour leaders I am hyping a red fraud that they would accept bribe from the government and the best government would offer is between 70-75k. This clearly shows that the Nigerian workers don't have leaders they only have themselves to fight for themselves, so I say let the protest begin.

Next is to bring down inflation and support increased local production of goods and services.
Too much money in circulation chasing few goods is bad for the economy.

Well the 70k is still realistic but very little compared to the highly overinflated economy in Nigeria over Tinubu government

Increasing wages can potentially lead to inflation, but it's not a direct cause-and-effect relationship. Here's why:

1. Higher wages can lead to higher production costs for businesses.
2. If businesses pass these increased costs on to consumers, it can result in higher prices (inflation).
3. However, if businesses absorb the increased costs or improve productivity, the impact on prices may be minimal.

Other factors influence the relationship between wages and inflation, such as:

- Economic growth
- Productivity gains
- Labor market conditions
- Monetary policy (interest rates)
- Supply and demand imbalances

In some cases, higher wages can even lead to:

- Increased consumer spending (boosting economic growth)
- Reduced employee turnover (saving businesses recruitment and training costs)
- Improved productivity (offsetting higher labor costs)

So, while higher wages can contribute to inflationary pressures, it's not a guarantee, and the relationship depends on various economic factors.
ElSudani:

You can summarize it for us here since you've read it.
Here are some additional points to consider:

- The impact of wage increases on inflation depends on the state of the economy. In a recession, wage increases are unlikely to lead to inflation, as there is spare capacity in the economy. However, in a rapidly growing economy with low unemployment, wage increases may lead to inflation.
- The size of the wage increase also matters. Small, incremental increases are less likely to lead to inflation than large, sudden increases.
- The industry and sector also play a role. For example, wage increases in industries with high labor intensity, such as healthcare or education, may be more likely to lead to inflation than in industries with high automation, such as manufacturing.
- The presence of price controls or monetary policy can also influence the relationship between wages and inflation. For example, if a central bank is aggressively raising interest rates to combat inflation, the impact of wage increases on inflation may be mitigated.
- Finally, the relationship between wages and inflation can vary across different countries and regions, depending on factors such as labor market institutions, economic structures, and cultural norms.

Overall, while there is a potential link between wage increases and inflation, it is not a straightforward relationship, and many factors need to be considered when assessing the impact of wage growth on prices.
