Dangote should crash the price of pms and send the importers out of business. To me, that is fair competition, but wanting fg to ban import might not really be fair. Secondly the fg should set a minimum standard on the quality of pms either imported or refined. Lastly, both the refinery and importers should source for their usd themselves 1 Like |

KarlTom:Its becoming clear why those guys frustrated the merger in the first place......because I personally viewed the reasons given as mere excuses!! If anyone complains of monopoly, why not set yours up first and wait to see if he'll (Alhaji) complain about it or not? Why didn't the govt agency or whatever make a move to keep NNPC up and running? For how many years have they grounded the countries refineries till now? Alhaji complained that his friend that refused to invest in Nigeria is already taunting him......the friend advice him against setting up businesses in Nigeria but he rejected the advice because of the love for his dear country.....but see all those corrupted gold diggers frustrating what they failed to achieve! I sincerely hope they call these cabals to order before they succeeded in frustrating this man! Make una no mind me joor, I fit no get the whole scenario well enough, but it's just too bad how this NNPR or whatever is going about these whole thing! https://punchng.com/my-friend-who-warned-against-investing-in-nigeria-now-taunting-me-dangote/?amp 6 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by olig(m): 12:15pm On Jul 23 |
He can't survive with that. Byvthe way, he didn't ask FG to ban importation yet. That is not the current issue. So, you want him to crash price to compete with importation that benefits from two edged subsidies? How will he cope with that? Nigerian government is subsidising the importation, and technically, most times the originating country is also subsidising (by removing some taxes on exported product, so that they can produce more and keep their jobs) Pesuzok: |

Toluway: The "official" world language then was Greek due to the hellenization policy of the Greek empire led by Alexander the great and which subsisted into the Roman empire... it was the old testament that was originally written in hebrew and aramaic.. new testament was written by Jewish followers of Christ in the popular language of that time which was Greek . Modified.. Enough of this topic for me.. make dem no talk say i dey derail thread. Just clarifying issues raised by others |

SonofElElyonRet:Sorry to chip this in. Writing of the New Testament was initiated and supervised by a king of England, who was the official Head of Roman Catholic Church. He attempted to perpetuate his regime, and no wonder why he said, through the Bible, that rulers were made by God. |

emmanuelewumi:If so, Tinumbu is jealous of Dangote, thus beclouding his primary assignment as the President of the most populous country and (former) biggest economy in Africa. He seems to be playing a ludo game with his primary assignment. Donald Trump would laugh louder about us, black Africans! It's a pity. |

emmanuelewumi:You too get sense.Alhaji na really gently man.It is simply forget nigeria crude oil and withdrawal of all your refinery products to niaja market starting immediately from sell of diseal. Let the price of gas and aviation fuel go back to the formal high cost. When the situation gets so bad.The nigeria people will be the ones to come for the war .Allow them to continue thr importation till dollars get back to #2000.when they finish collecting from bank forex gain.I will see whr they go next.Just stick to paying your cooperate and other taxes. Push back gas price to #1800 and just be laughing when the next food inflation figure comes out. 3 Likes |

Toluway: Not at all. You are referring to translation to English please. King James did not personally translate the bible (not just the new testament but the whole bible actually), but commissioned experts to translate... Take care to do adequate research. Moreover if you disagree with King James Version for any reason, there are other English translations.. Also you did not provide the book, chapter and verse of the bolded which you claim was smuggled into the bible by king James |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 4:51pm On Jul 23 |
This 50% Tax on Foreign Exchange Gains is ill-intentioned and ill-timed. Painfully, I do not think there is any hope for the major banks (except for lenghty court cases). This 'insensitive' act by government is surely going to have an adverse effect on the FY2024 results... 1 Like 1 Share |

SonofElElyonRet:I'm obliged to close this matter at my own end. Members of this thread are apt to be angry with us now, as this is not a Bible discussion thread. But I have to clarify that I didn't say King James translated the Bible from whatever to whatever. I don't know who did the translation and I would always be happy to learn from you. WHAT I said was that the king initiated and supervised the writing of the New testament. Some scholars are even saying that he actually wrote it. But I believe he wasn't likely to have written it himself. You wouldn't expect me to quote references about this from the Bible and I'm not obliged to start referring you to authorities on this thread. But I hereby express my apology if I have offended your religious sentimentality. |
