That person that tweeted that stuff is obviously not living in Lagos. I have never seen a Statewide Oro festival

But then, I am concerned with the way the government is trying to divide and conquer the protest, rather than listen and see how to avert it.

Nigerians are suffering oh, and the people that will protest with their lives are not on social media or under NANS abi na SMA.

You will be surprised at how one small thing will spiral into a full blown chaos.

All these NLC, Ohaneze and blah blah dissociating themselves means little.

When these fed up Nigerians hit the street, you no go believe wetin you go dey read and see online.

This is why some people are trying their best to control it and some stop it. You only know the start you dont know whose property might be affected.
I still remember when some guys were tweeting and encouraging the burning of everything until he found out his family properties were affected as well

At the peak of endsars, anyone with a fairly good car or living in an estate became a target even i they had nothing to do with govt

Its your right to protest peacefully, its not your right to disrupt movement and livelihood of others

......God bless you for shedding clarity with the first line. I don't know if you watched Arise this morning, coz I agree with what Abati.

We have freedom to protest, so the Government have freedom to prevent anarchy. They are already losing the grip before the said protest even begins.

No wonder Falana and Utomi couldn't fully stand with the protesters coz they know they've swayed from the objective.

It is us that understand what is right and not right; or about disrupting movements and livelihood.

There are millions that earn 50 cents or less in a day. People who have nothing to live for.

You think those ones know NLC abi na NANS or Coalition of this and that?

As much as i want a change, i really wish there won't be protest.

All these ones we are typing is from the comfort of our homes. E get people wey don zero their mind for this matter.

The people being dragged are the non-omo Ale's. The omo ales are the ones watching their culture being rubbished because of Tinubu.

......like I said, its our right to protest. Speak out to the Government, make demands - but peacefully.

You can't assure me anything, Oga.

Let us just pray that it doesn't get to that level.

If you think Kenya and Bangladesh did not have these same assurances, think again.

Security men and women that are overburdened, is who will keep watch on the streets in the whole 37 states?

No let too much talk and lamba detach you from reality.

Dr. Funmi is an obedient. One attribute of Yoruba Obedient is to denigrate their people.

That is the only qualification to be in Obedient fold. Shinedu Road 54 is his mentor.

If Lagos chief want to carry Oro and the news is genuine, you can tell your Fumilayo Obedient to go and stop them. He should stop wasting his time online pleasing some mob. No be by cho cho.

So far, it is only Ikorodu that i know, since Adam knew Eve that does Oro in broad daylight. Emphasis on "I know"

Most places, it is usually done late in the night till early hours of the morning.

So, the handle should list the "Various communities", instead of creating panic.

Afterall, if you use Oro to stop protest, the same Oro will stop people trying to go about their legitimate businesses too.

Lol, I'd rather believe Lagospedia and the numerous APC handles announcing the Oro festival, that was how the Oro during last governorship election started as a joke until it was held on the day of the election.

Making the protest peaceful without disrupting normal life of others and destroying properties is always the challenge

I remember during Endsars, I was working with one guy for Naija we were having a Teams session, suddenly he said he had to leave the call because protesters have broken into their estate, destroyed their transformers and entering peoples houses.

No police, so the residents have to form themselves into vigilantes bunch of pot bellied upper class Gloriousgbola vs Urchins who didn't even know the reason they are protesting beyond this is an opportunity to loot.

Wahala is easy to start

I saw a letter making rounds on Social Media reported to be from one of the lawmakers who instigated Kenya riots, I don't know if its true or not.

None of these men will attach their names to a protest cos when events happen and goes out of hand, the govt can come for them for instigating chaos, pin loss of lives and properties on them. These are people who have names and assets to protect not nameless individuals

If Abati, Falana or Utomi say they support the protest so Another person can say counter protest directed towards Utomi, Falana and Abatis properties
