It's easier to get through the pains with a child, even though they do make it worse sometimes.

lol... I had to be sleeping with a pillow BTW me and my child so I don't get a kick to the stomach from him... He throws kick anyhow... Recently stop him from jumping on top of me mk e no wound me abeg.

Hello people , please I need help on what to do am spiting a lot and is affecting my job at the moment and my management is saying either I go for leave of absence or find what to do, I can not even swallow the spit, it will cause me nausea probably vomiting as well, and I don’t know if the leave of absent is paid or not am just confuse , and I plan on taking my maternity leave when am 7months, Is draining badly for me . I work in health care . Am 4months old now still spiting heavily . And without work here you can’t be able to pay bills . Don’t know what to do need help .

it is well with you,u need to find out what works for you..for my first i had pectol in my mouth throughout first trimester,for my 2nd I had packs of Vicks lemon plus n menthol gums everywhere around me.

Try dear, it's not easy, in no time, you will hold your little bundle of joy. For the spitting, some women say things like crackers, mint or dry nuts help reduce the spitting. Some move around with a container of sand, where they spit in. It's to experiment with different healthy options till you see what works for you. Secondly, different work places have their different rules, I'm guessing you work in a private organisation. You can ask the HR, your colleagues and/or consult your employment letter to know if the leave will be paid or not. Another thing, most times, maternity leave is 3 months, so of you take leave at 7 months, you'll likely resume when your baby is 1 or 2 months. Carefully do your calculations and weigh your options. The Lord is your strength

It's normal. This is my second pregnancy with it.

It's the slow movement of food in the intestines that makes it that bad. So I try to avoid foods that make it worse, drinking lots of water and eating veggies. At the end of the day, I just take one tablet of paracetamol to help with the pains till I sleep off, since the pains usually start around midday for me and worsen as the day goes on.

Exactly how I feel. The doctor gave me omeprazol and something for the constant vomiting. Now it’s headache. I took paracetamol this morning but Omo! It’s like ko work o.

Wallahi it's not funny. Before, I could sleep in the afternoon when my kids have all left for school but now for where. I will just be restless. Lol (@roll call), I did earlier this month oh, I say make I do again to check up on my teammates .

Wow! So insomnia do occur this early in pregnancy? I thought first trimester is mostly when one sleeps uncontrollable,some people get to know this as a sign of something is cooking in the oven. Lol englightened me biko.

insomia do occur during 1st trimester but not everybody have it though... The most common symptom during first trimester is pregnant women sleeping a lot... Insomia is rare.

Thanks alot mama. Me too I'm having that stomach pain/tightening once in a while. May be it's what dey call Braxton Hicks contractions. Guess our body is preparing for the D day. We are kuku close. We are in week 29 now. Thank God for his blessings. May the rest of the journey be easy for us all. Glad to hear from you
