Thank you all for your advice, we contacted Access bank that day because it was the account that was used to send the money and they told us that they will send a mail to opay. It's now more than 72 hours now and we have not got a feedback from Access bank.

If the guy refused to reply my DM, I will post his pictures and information here as he has worked as a special assistant to a govt in ondo state.

Good day all,

I want to send my opay account number to somebody but I mixed up those number that the money was transferred to wrong account.

Now, I have been calling the number for 3 days now and it has been switched off and whenever it rings, the person will cut the call

I was able to trace the person to FB and I saw that he has worked as a special assistant to govt.

I have sent him a DM via his FB and he is not responding.

Please what can I do to catch this person because the money transfered to his account is above 50.

Report him to the police station

Opay restricted my account, and sent me this as a requirement to unrestrict the account, please I need someone to help me explain this requirements in full details.

Thank you.

- Source and purpose of inflow.

- Nature of business (stating that they are involved in digital assets cryptocurrency).

If I send you money later report it to Opay that I did a mistake, are they refunding me, with receipts and everything.. 🤔

Is this not an update!

Opay will notify the receiver and if the receiver agreed, the money will be transfered back. If not, u will meet to get a court order... So, don't mix it up, opay can not/will not remove money from ur account without ur consent

Just call him out on X since he has political affiliations like you stated.
Peeps on X will help you escalate your call out and he will have no other choice but to act or dance to your favour.

how can I call him out because I don't have an influential account on twitter.
Tag an activist or SMI with your experience with him....write the full story of what happened with screenshots proofs.

As in eh! Even if I want to send money through a POS agent. I'll tell the agent to confirm the name of the receiver before sending.

It's as simple as that. I've been making transactions for close to a decade and I've never experienced such cos I'm extremely careful whenever I want to make a transaction.

I swear. What if the complainant is lying. They would now remove money from the recepitent account back to him. How do people even make mistakes of sending money to wrong accounts numbers, like you didn't confirm and check the account number you input and the account name, it should bring out, even if the account number were wrong, at least you should know by the account name, it brings out, how do people still make mistakes baffles me.

What haopen is that recently if u are transferring from OPAY to OPAY it won't brings out the person's name before clicking on send if u are using USSD..

Infact u can still try it now and give me feedback.

But if u are transferring to another bank it.will bring out the person's name .

Someone transferred money to my Opay and called, within five minutes I have done verification that he was the one who sent the money and transferred it back as it should.

While transferring money to a new account on Opay, there is a pop up dial on box which asks again if you are sure that it's the account you want to send it to that any money sent can't be reversed, please for the sake of others don't ever neglect that box to confirm the account again.

In this regime people are looking for money and would do anything to enjoy free money be careful.

Since it's opay to opay, you can get your money back without much stress.

Reach out to opay via their handle or mail them and explain the issue at hand with receipt evidence of your transfer to the said number. Check your dashboard you will see how to get to their customer care.

Modified:

I had transferred to wrong opay before using opay, I complained to care line they totified the guy and he refunded my money back.

It's only the guy that has the power to return and not Opay should he refuse opays pleas to return them only the court can sanction return of the cash not Opay. This is why Opay usually warn everyone during the transfer stating clearly money transfered can't be returned.

Get a laywer to help you file a process for erroneous transfer to the said account number, the court will give an order for reversal. serve the court order on their registered office.

When the volume of your transaction is high.
When you multi task or your are involve in operations requiring multiple payments to parties.
Mistakes occur.
It can be resolved through the originating bank.

You're on your own Opay will not do anything about it.
I had similar issue before were i transfer 10 naira again just to send message in description to the person, the man later call me back and refund the money

When you're making multiple payments that's even when you have to be more focused.

Some people make transactions inside a public bus, and when the conductor calls their attention, they become distracted and send the money to the wrong account. Some make theirs in the middle of a discussion and wouldn't bother excusing themselves to focus on what they're doing until the recipient calls them after a couple of hours to tell them that they haven't received the inflow...Then they start panicking.

Truth is there is no such thing as multitasking when it comes to transaction. The rule of the thumb is whenever you're making a transaction, (whether single or multiple) suspend whatever you're doing and direct all your attention to that transaction until you're done.

Haven't you been to the bulk room of a bank before, do you see the staffs who stay there gisting and making calls whilst counting the money and crediting the recipients account? They're 100% focused. In fact you'll have to talk in whispers whenever you're in there cos the place is extremely quiet.

That's how it should be. Most people are just careless that's why they keep making errors when making transactions.

You have good funds but your problem is that you don't have a good knowledge about money management as per trading sports odds...drop your digits then delete afterwards and I'll link you to a group or admin that can help you recover some funds and mentor you on money management for your financial literacy...
