It's the DangRice that is the issue. A friend knowledgeable in the rice processing biz in Kano told me that there is a serious shortage of paddy rice for milling in the country. This may be affecting the Dangote rice mills also. Hopefully Dangote has mobilized this rainy season to secure enough paddy from farmers.

On the issue of bonus shares, I personally don't see it as a better alternative to dividend because of the indeterminate time for actual issuance.

However you can write them via:
nasconcare@dangote.com
wink

Looks like they're trying to frustrate Dangote somehow.....but he knows their game plans and he'll eventually sort them out.

- Tony has delivered and he's delivering to investors...
- Ote$$ making his shareholders smile
- Alhaji Rabiu doing his shareholders well
- Wale already responding positively
- Alhaji Dangote's case won't be different, his time will also come......so I Blvd. We are still holding up. 😑

Mcy you no see that AFRIPRUD "now you see, now you don't" bonus confusion? I saw you exited about the bonus yesterday even hoping it will take the price to #15. This is really bad for those who entered 10% up yesterday.

This is great news to dangote refinery, consistent supply of crude is very important.

Now that Dangote and the government have come to an agreement on how to feed the refinery with crude, those "enemies of the people", the oil marketers association, will be doing their meeting to design how to make it all come to nothing for the consumers. I just hope Dangote will go further and establish his own petrol stations.

Bonus or no bonus, AFRIPRUD will still do well......may not be now due to the bonus false info, but APR will still perform well.
The financials are good, Q2 was impressive.

- Though there was a mix up in the bonus announcement, NGX caused the confusion.....
- I can remember saying it wasn't included in the Board Meeting notice issued before the result was released but only interim dividend mentioned......
- When result was released, I checked thru it, didn't see where bonus was mentioned, but when NGX said it, I'd thought it was latest development because similar thing happened in VFD.

** AFRIPRUD is one stock that @currentprice had identified in the past from his bedsheet, I just know it's time will surely come......if not now, it will come sometimes along the line. 😊
So, you can add it to your watchlist...

someone help me kalkulate this NASCON eps Q2..
3,612,570,000/2,702,427,145=₦1.33k not ₦5.35k on the result sheet undecided

Even if I use the old Ordinary share(2,649,438,378-before bonus issue), still wouldn't give me the eps in their results across all the time frame(except 12months ended 2023).

Plus the consolidated 6months eps is less than the EPS for the 2nd quarter 2024 only.

Gracias.🙏

Goodmorning to everyone here

Please I want to know for someone who had no stock broking account (no CHN or CSCS accounts) but saw the GTBank share sales and subscribed, how can such a person be in possession or own it if they eventually get allocated? Or would they even get allocated?

My brother bought MTN shares like this around 2022 and up till now we don't really know how it went, how can he retrieve such? I think Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers was the stock broker

I will appreciate your insights

This is 3 months earning and when you calculate the forward earning, you have to multiply by 4 to get the annual figure

So yes, they are correct.

The proud gentle one, you don't have a monopoly on throwing stones and insults at forum members, nor do you have a crystal ball to diagnose forum members with insomnia regarding International Breweries (IB) issues or your posts. You must understand that we all have different time zones. Your active mornings are another person's passive hours, and vice versa. It's none of your business that people have insomnia regarding IB. I've been a holder of IB in my portfolio since 2017, long before I joined this forum, and I've never had insomnia for a second. It's my right to post uncensored comments about IB, especially regarding the current management team that seems to lack direction. Without being told, It's clear to many forum members who your comments are directed at. You can't silence me the way you did others before me. I'm not here to join issues with you. My primary mission is to motivate members while I grow my portfolio locally and internationally. You've been told to stop marketing your vague subscribers on this forum. I referenced Ugodre, who was previously an active participant in this forum; he never marketed Nairametrics here. Learn from selfless and highly successful self-investors like Agbalowomeri, Pa-emmanuel, YMcy56, and many others.
New forum members can become better investors by reading old and current contributions from dedicated members who aren't here to market stock picks, rather than relying on your timeless random stock picks. The game of stock trading and investment requires patience, if you can subject your random analysis to time-bound scrutiny, it will be a different game. Lastly, stop marketing your random cash for service motivated analysis here. We can all learn from each other without being proud.

At the end of the offer, after settlement is done. A share certificate would be sent to you via the address you gave them while subscribing. Just keep your ear on the ground to know when it's being issued. If you don't get your you can always contact their registrar.

For your brother's MTN, I think a temporary stock broker account was created for them by the issuing house or something. I can't remember what actually happened again. To know how far with that, he can contact Chapel Hill Denham for his details.
