One guy for bus this morning dey tell me say Youseff En-Neysri na better striker than Iheanacho, if no be for love of God I don wave am 500 inside my imaginations already 😂

Which kind talk be that?
as an out and out striker, I'm afraid En-neysri is better...

Faster, Good aerial ability atleast this 2 things he trumps iheanacho hands down.

In addition. Both are listed as Center forwards. Both are lefties and both 27 years of age. Comparing them is quite easy.

En-nesyri - 290 match. 93 goals 12 assist.

Nacho 305 match. 87 goals 45 assist(132 goal involvement in 305 is dope. I Comot cap small)

This NFF guys, what is the reason for the delay in hiring a coach for the Super Eagles? This is taking too long. I thought some urgency was required in hiring a coach. This is August.

🔴⚪️ Sevilla are set to seal Kelechi Iheanacho deal on two year contract… and then, Lucien Agoumé next.

Nigerian striker set for medical while Inter and Sevilla are finalizing the agreement for Agoumé, almost there.

They are simply trying to arm twist the sports ministry into funding the employment of a foreign coach of their choice and not the ministry. Las las @ the dying minute, another clueless local coach will be drafted in as a stop gap again. I have said from onset that the world cup dream will be sabotaged. Unless, the players decided to work with whoever that will be drafted in to keep the hopes alive. The same way Mikel & the team worked with Siasia during the Olympics when the NFF frustrated the hell out of him
But wait oh. Wetin happen to that $250k that Japanese gave them.

Create a thread at the appropriate section, and maybe a conversation can happen.
I have tried to do that multiple times but it gets reported and deleted because I'm flouting some "rules"

An aside, it is lazy thinking and quite frankly bottom barrel behaviour to term people with opposing views on a subject as hateful. I know this is typical of liberal thinking particularly when they want to stifle speech, but I appeal to you to grow out of it.
Hell nah, reminds me of the Convo Dave Rubin and Ben Shapiro had, they are both conservatives except Dave is gay and they are "friends" (if that's what a friend is) Ben literally told Dave to his face that he will vote against his rights to get married only for the "pick me" Dave to bring up the same argument you are citing now but yea....they are friends!!!. I always fell for the "it's just an opposing view narrative" because deep down I thought a middle ground could be had but not when if given a chance or choice today, you will vote against my rights talkless of the homophobic echo chamber that exist on this forum who will do far worse so yes, it's hateful, it goes beyond an "opposite view", it's giving "I'm not homophobic, I have gay friends but....." The only thing that we can have (even if both of us know it's going nowhere) is a debate which this forum won't even let happen lol, it's ok

It's a shame though that a player of Osimhen's clout, Africa's best player, is not trusted enough to be bought outright.

Not cool..I doubt if that will be accepted. Mbappe was much younger when he joined PSG on loan from Monaco. Osimhen is established. Not even Madrid but Chelsea.. no no

I don't think that's the case frankly. Cubs went on a spending spree (many of which were ridiculous) last summer, and are a bit more circumspect now with spending. It's why there hasn't been crazy spending since the window opened. Osimhen is simply a victim of wrong timing. He obviously anticipated this and hedged against this with his new salary deal with Napoli. Whether or not he transfers out of Naples, it is a win-win situation for him.

There's also a business strategy side to this. Every club in Europe knows Napoli is in fix and are condemned to sell Victor now or will pay him millions of dollars in salaries and sell him for significantly less than they would get now next season since he'll have one year left on his contract. So some clubs want to wait it out till late into the transfer to lowball ADL.

PSG was a mandatory buy option.

I don't agree brother.

Osimhen's stock has fallen significantly since last season.

To many clubs, he's not worth the fee

It's just that I believe in his yori yori football philosophy as the best pattern for Super eagles. I'm afraid that if he doesn't get this job, Super Eagles will hire a tiki taka coach. And I dread that.

Chelsea rather loaned Crespo to Milan. Higuain not at his prime when he came on loan to Chelsea.

You probably need to find the right section to accommodate the topic. I don't think it's against Nairaland is averse to discussions like this (I stand corrected).

The illustration on Ben and Dave you gave didn't quite justify why you easily tag people with contrary views hateful. Let's start with the definition of the word "phobia". It literally means extreme or irrational fear for something. "Aerophobic" people have extreme fear of flying. It however doesn't translate into them hating planes. I could list many other phobias to establish my point, but I believe you get it. It is only when it concerns LGBTQ folks phobia assumes a new meaning. It is termed hateful, prejudice, discrimination etc. People only take exception to being termed homophobic because the term as assumed a new meaning hinged almost entirely on hate and all of this is done simply to stifle speech and make people so afraid of sharing their views for fear of being seen as hateful

It's why I referenced earlier how scientists now changed terms and tailor researches to drive certain agenda and suit narratives. I recall how that during the pandemic, the CDC in their bid to shill for big pharma quite literally changed the textbook definition of vaccination, all simply because the experimental vaccine for COVID while it helped wasn't effective enough to be termed a vaccines as people who got "vaccinated" could still get infected. That's a discourse for another day.

So while that fear (phobia) may be rooted in hate, the vast majority of people do not fall into these category. Fir example, Dave and Ben are colleagues who work together and agree on a vast majority of things. Ben's position on the subject is largely religious. He probably holds same position on premarital sex too. It doesn't mean he hates those who have sex outside marriage. You see how lazy that thinking is?

Finally on voting against positions like this. I'm sometimes startled by those who hold liberal views and who most times posture as vanguards of democracy who literally do not understand how democracy works. It's literally a people's government. It means if the bast majority of people hold on to certain views and certain values, they are likely to vote for someone who they believe will help in the furtherance of it. I hope you know pedophiles believe they are being denied their right. They are even rebranding and in many universities in the US are now being referred to as Minor attracted persons (MAP). And hope you know if they have the numbers they would vote in someone who will help make legal their "rights". It's quite literally how democracy works. So what we do is have conversations like this to convince people to our side in hope that we get the numbers to either further or keep our values as the law of the land.

Lol

Napoli didn't buy him for that amount o. Osimhen cost Napoli €70M on paper, but Napoli had to send 4 academy players as part of the deal who were valued at €21M. That is where the wayo came in. These players didn't even spend a season in Lille before they were cut lose. It was all for the books. I'm real sense, Osimhen cost about €50M
