@metarverse2

* Thank you for your observation. We are learning every days. Can you pls shed light on this ?

1. What happens to the PR card of a newly arrived 30 yr old man in Canada who was caught molesting a minor?

2. What happens (to the citizenship of) a naturalised Canadian citizen who was caught trying to detonate explosive in the public ?

3. USA embassy grants Nigerians 5 year B1-B2. Do you mean as a Nigerian living in Canada you are entitle to a 10 years B1-B2 VISA ?

4. What is the business of the USA embassy in Canada with the 3 years she spent in the UK ?

Awaiting your reply sir.

1) you might get your PR revoked, doesn't matter either way as if you catch those charges you aren't crossing the border.
2) Nothing, citizenship is not revoked unless you became a citizen fraudulently
3) Nobody is entitled to anything as a non-citizen
4) The five eye countries (US, UK, CA, NZ, AU) all share data, it helps her case for a visa if she has a travel history and was never out of status or deported from one of those countries.

The available date in Lagos in November 2025, I kinda want my mum to visit by February, is it gonna be an issue to look for date in Cotonou

Is she resident in cotonou? If no then don't risk it. The rule is that applicants must apply from place of residence. Pick the available date before you start seeing 2026.

Please is there any group that I can join to check for visa interview dates in Aug 2024?

Nope. Just check your portal twice a day. 9am and afternoon. You might get lucky.

What a weird post, they should definitely apply for a US visa as soon as possible, esp since there is a wait for getting an interview. If you have PR getting a US visa will be easy, since having PR is a big incentive to not overstay or work illegally in the US. US visa officers will view her as a Nigerian with Canadian PR.

As a Canadian visiting the US is not a big deal, we go over there for.day trips etc or sometimes just to eat dinner and go back if you live in places like Windsor. Also, having a US visit visa is important as you might have to go to the US for work trips, to catch a flight etc.

🀠

You have started with your gang ups. Where is the weird post ? Are you working inside the US embassy in Canada ?

The original poster cannot go further so the need to hire mercenary in order to cover lie all in the name to accuse OyotunjiUSA 😊

Where is the tie to Canada ? She landed just 2 months ago ? And you are in Canada yourself?

PR can be revoked . Citizenship by other means aside of birth can be revoked.

Nigerians in Canada applying for B1-B2 for the first time inside Nigerian passport gets 5 years visa. Bye.

PR is a pretty big tie. Why does the fact that PR can be revoked relevant? A US visit visa can be revoked; also even with a visa or visa free access with a Canadian passport every time you cross the border you still have to prove ties, lack of a criminal record, have a purpose etc.

It doesn't matter that you just moved two months ago. You have a PR which is a strong tie to canada.

With your Canadian PR, you should get a 10year B1/B2 even with your Nigerian passport.

Working from home is not unusual in the western world, that shouldn't pose a barrier.

By and large, go for it

Thank you so much. So I just fill the ds-160 form, pay the fees and schedule an appointment? Also, how much do I need to have as POF?

Thanks @zaza905 for your help. I do have cousins here who got 10 years b1/b2 visas as PR. I just wanted to confirm if the short time I’ve spent here would be an issue. Moreover, I wasn’t planning on visiting tomorrow considering I’d still need to schedule an interview appointment. In addition, my brother is also a citizen here in Canada and he’s been here for 11years. I wonder why the other oyotunji guy was being so rude with his response. The b2 visa is to tour the US and also to visit friends and family. So, I wonder how thats a flimsy excuse.

You just exposed yourself as a troll. A genuine information seeker will not tell me i am rude. Can you indicate where i was rude to you ?

You have a Nigerian who got 10 years B1-B2 while in Canada and your brother is a citizen for the past 11 years then why coming to ask fake question on nairaland ?

People beware ! They all work together looking for who to scam. Show us your fake uncle 10 year visa .

* You have forgotten your initial lie ? I thought you wanted to go and visit a friend and your USA Army boyfriend πŸ˜‚ But its now friend and family ?

I stopped responding to you because you were asking irrelevant questions to prove you are right.
I told you with your Canadian PR on any passport, you can get 10 year B1B2 regardless of your nationality. That doesn't mean the Consular can't decide to give you less but it is a well known fact, like the original poster has confirmed that you get 10yr validity with PR.

I don't argue about something I've seen personally on a faceless forum. I will just let you be. That's why I stopped responding to your troll.

Go and correct your children at home to stop being naughty. All of you are network from Canada threads including the one who just opened a nairaland profile. Looking for who to scam.

Imagine, the OP who asked the initial questions even turned to be supporting network of tricksters. People should click on our profiles.

Stop misleading yourself. The moment you bring out your Nigerian passport to receive USA VISA inside America embassy in Canada you are getting 5 years B1-B2. Your claims are fake. You are the ones asking troll questions and I will keep answering with truths.

I won't do the research for you. It is your business to believe whatever ignorant lies you keep peddling as information all over the thread.

Hey 🀠

1. No ! Naturally if a consular retained your travel passport after the interview it means you have passed the interview and you will be given a collection slip followed by consular's verbal congratulatory or approval message.

2. On the other hand , retaining your passport at the embassy might means you have been placed on administrative process (221g slip) as a result of further /additional information (s) needed from you.

3. The consular will still notify your standings to you in either state above except in a rare cases he or she forgot to do so.

Best Wishes πŸ™

Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by JohnZak: 1:57pm On Jul 30
The VO would typically tell you the outcome of your application at the conclusion of your interview i.e. approved, rejected, or 221g administrative processing.

If they held on to your passport after the interview and gave you a collection slip, it has been approved. If they returned your passport with the rejection slip, it has been rejected. They do not hold on to your passport for 221g Administrative processing because AP is technically a refusal and the processing time for AP is unknown. They will give it back to you with a 221g slip. That is why folks with 221 g after IW still pick up their passports from DHL with the slip.

Lastly, the embassy would typically not return a fraudulent passport but they will tell you that it is fraudulent.

For B1/B2, you would have stated your income in the DS160. You don’t need to have funds in an account designated specially for the interview to show as PoF.
Plan your trip, estimate a cost and have a ball park figure to spend and tell VO if and/or when asked.

Update from USinNigeria

Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by bibiliscious: 4:03pm On Jul 31
Good afternoon House, Please i have an inquiry. I currently hold a us visa and will like to apply for my infant who is 1 year old. i clicked on schedule appointment as she qualifies for an interview waiver but the questions for inteview waiver are that of renewal,

am i supposed to fill all of them as if we want to do a renewal because infants meet the qualifications for interview waiver but the questions are like is your visa expiring within 3 months or within the past 48 months etc and this is my child's first passport and application.

do i just go ahead and fill everything like im doing a renewal? if i go the normal route id have to schedule for Nov 2025 for an interview which i believe is not needed for an infant especially as i have a valid US Visa as well.

Please advise

Try calling the embassy or consulate to clarify what exactly you are to do.

Though not stated directly, work flow in change management are designed to retain previous contracts and the cutoff affects new contracts. Your date is most likely to populate in the new system. And yes you are to create a new profile.
