1. compounded hardship
2. Reduction of purchasing power
3. Slowing down of economy which is now grinding to a standstill. From $560b economy in 2014 down to a $237billion economy now in 2024.
4. Hyperinflation especially of food items.
5. Suffocating of the now poor Nigerians with more taxes then followed by the removal of subsidy on not only petrol and electricity but also on atleast 8 other items.

Hardship is not global at all. Kenya's inflation rate as of June 2024 is 4.6% which is nothing to be compared to Nigeria's 34% inflation rate. Nigerians wish to emulate Kenya because the suffering and smiling has become fking unbearable for them.

So what if he claimed responsibility? I don't follow your reasoning at all? Will the South Easterners come out to protest the situation in the South East after that? Don't you see that the Government isn't even making half of the effort it has been making in other regions in the South East -- not a lot of money being spent to placate the youths or foods being sent that way.
