Lmaooo even me sef shock.
You want an Igbo man to be the face of a protest in Nigeria knowing how much we had to navigate during the election period.
I agree you are angry. We all are but the people have to show they are tired.

That man has never gone beyond what the law required.
He didn't do it when he was impeached, it's not now he will do it.

Funny guy😂

As if Dino barking like a dog at the collation centre stopped Yakubu from doing his thing.

What type of true domocratic leader would champion anarchy? That guy disappoints me.

In Nigeria, all they’ll need is your last name… Someone shot at Trump and we’ve not heard his state of origin till today.
I’ll never advise anyone I Know to join protest…. if Obi was president and Nigeria is this bad… will Igbos protest?
DonJ mocked EndSars protesters, even the protest tomorrow the dude will not step outside...But Obi should lead protest and shut down Nigeria, the rat not willing to sacrifice his own neck should keep looking for who to bell the cat...

I didn't say Obi needs to lead protest. I said a wise opposition would be able to channel the frustration from these protests into building a base and setting up more organic votes.

Yankee is a billion years ahead of Nigeria and we saw somebody try to assassinate the opposition candidate. If Obi or any credible opposition isn't ready to risk it all to fight a Cabal, then he should rest, and you obidients cheering the pointless protests should rest too.

Obidients claimed that Obi was outside the system, so why would you not expect him to be attacking the system in a time of protest. The argument about tribalism is actually silly.

Obi was not afraid of being seen as a tribalist last election season. Next election season, he won't allow tribal bias to prevent him from running again. But right now, when there isn't an immediate prize of a presidential office dangling in front of him, Obi should not chook mouth in protest or be holding political rallies to make his case to a frustrated nation because he's an Igbo man.

Izzou this is what we're talking about when I say PO was only ever a tribal candidate. He's good enough to be voted for in election season cos na turn by turn, but when it comes to actually marshaling and directing the voices of the people in non-election season, then e no concern igbo man.

Brehv. cheesy

Once again we agree on same points.

It's silly to see people make arguments as to why Obi shouldn't lead the protests. He has to risk it and have an actual skin in the game.

And as you've also said, which I'm concurring with, outside of protests, he hasn't done enough to rally his base and actually lead as an effective opposition leader.

Most of his right hand men from the election period have detached from him or gone their way while he's frolicking with some of the same people we his supporters are railing against.

It will just be another avenue for looters to loot… Why should a protest happen in Lagos when seat of power is in Abuja grin
Protest can’t even work in Nigeria cos we’re tribal and Notherners will need to be heavily involved
Nairobi is Kikuyu dominated and they effectively led a protest in the capital…. Why should a non-indigene lead in Nigeria…. How does it look Obi leading a protest in Lagos grin

Enahoro, you see these your kinsmen who came after you and how they are pissing on your legacy? It is well.

I have zero interest for holding brief for a man who I absolutely detest, but get your facts right.

Tinubu was actually arrested by Abacha for treason which carries a death penalty, before he skipped bail and escaped to London.

But but 'Ambit of the law'

Two things can be correct. And surely this wasn't what you meant when you said he "took on" Abacha right?

So Tinubu fighting for his senatorial seat alongside some randos then proceeding on a self-imposed exile was the full extent of his taking on Abacha?

Was Tinubu born with senatorial seat attached to his forehead or is a senatorial seat not a function of democratic institutions?

The 'randos' as you call then were all members of the disbanded senate, including the actual senate president

These guys chose to speak out publicly against a dictator that seized power by Coup and then actually imprisoned the guy who won the last election. And they were arrested by Abacha with charges that attracted the death penalty.

Meanwhile you're here saying Obi should not get involved with the process cos the ambit of the law.

As If Tinubu wasnt at least willing to risk his life by publicly going against Abacha, founding and funding Nadeco before having to run away from Nigeria to avoid the fate that befell his Nadeco co-founders like Alfred Rewane who was shot to death,

Like I said, I had really hoped your ignorance was from a failure to read, cos maannn...

It's such an asinine take, that I had to read it again multiple times.

Is a senatorial seat a hereditary traditional chieftaincy or a fundamental component of the arms of a democratic government? Because i don't understand how someone telling a military government who literally just launched a coup and disbanded democratic institutions could ever be framed in a negative light.

Especially when in that same era, the snake oil salesman was actually a willing participant in tbe Abacha regime.

Tinubu was a senator fighting for his senatorial seat and the perks that came with that position. It's like an Akpabio or any of the other rogues in the senate today fighting a military government and we'd say they're going on it because they're fighting for the average Nigerian and not their self-interests.

Tinubu was a grifter fighting for the perks of being a senator, when it became clear that Abacha was going to be seat-tight, he sought an appointment, and when that too failed, he hopped on the next best thing, NADECO, and in the years post Abacha has more than reaped the rewards of his grift.

The same Tinubu that you guys love to denigrate so much took on the most notorious tyrant in the history of Nigeria- General Sani Abacha, where Nadeco was literally declared illegal, it's members arrested and murdered, with bombs going off literally every year from 1994.

But Obi the chosen one is the one that needs to be concerned with the ambits of the law.

Well, maybe Kenneth Okonkwo, Obi's own official spokesman was also influenced by living within the ambit of UK law.

Was Tinubu fighting Abacha because he was a lover of democracy, or because he wanted an opportunity to abuse democracy like he's done over the years?

Explain what the perks of being a Senator under Babangida were.

When you've finished, come and explain how Obi isn't contesting for the perks pf a presidency.
