Applied January this year, but still yet to get an update from IRCC .

I got a BVL mail on the 5th of this month, which was followed up with another update on my IRCC account requesting for an updated POF which I submitted three days after the mail. From then till now am still yet to get any further update from them.

I have sent web form but no response

BVL generally indicates IRCC has made a decision but i guess in this case, they are running some secondary review on your proof of funds best reasons known to them before making the final decision. I think you should wait for them to get back since we know they are on the verge of making a final decision.

I understand the anxiety and wish you a positive outcome.

Their customer care agent in Canada do not interfere with visa applications abroad in this case "Nairobi" or "Lagos". I remember enquiring for my parents years back and got that feedback from them. Send webform and e-mail instead. Alternatively, other for your GCMS notes to understand whats going on in your file.

Application$9

The above sample is more than 8 but not up to 15 characters. If this does not work. You can create one that equates exactly 15.

Hello house, My younger brother wants to travel to Canada. Tourist visa and he told me that he was trying to use some of these travel agents, told me they charged him 1.2m 600k first then the remaining 600k after the papers are out. I told him to wait let me ask on nairaland. Please house is there a way he could apply it by himself without spending this much. I'LL GREATLY APPRECIATE Y'ALL HELP PLEASE

This is a DIY group and we don’t encourage agent here. Let him go through the thread and asked questions. Instead of paying that huge amount of money while not put in the work here by applying himself. Many have gotten approved here. Success in your brother’s application

Posting your number here or contacting anyone because they posted a comment here is not in your best interest this is a faceless forum as you may get scammed. The information here is good enough to guide any genuine visa applicant. Be careful of anyone asking you for money for a visa. Nobody can guarantee a Canada visa for you, as visas are not for sale!!

Hello house,

You can reapply anytime, but if nothing changes in your situation or application, you are just wasting your money. Just Reapplying will not get your visa approved; it's the content and quality of your application that matters
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Vannie12(f): 7:58am On Jul 31
It's a visitor's visa; the visiting scholar program requires a temporary resident visa for the period of my stay. For documents submitted, it was more of the documentation sent from the research organization and the institution I will be visiting.

Account Statement is optional under the CAN+ program. Otherwise, you do not need to submit POF (account statement) if you have a valid US Non-Immigrant Visa as at the time of your application.
deltafly:

With USA visa bank statement is still needed

Hmm! strange.

Try a combination that is lower than 15 characters but more than 8 with an uncommon word meeting the password requiements, something like this:

Neptune2020&&

If it works, please try to change the password with the same idea. Also, remove your email from the thread. It is a security risk.

Try if this works.

Planning a visit to Canada is an exciting opportunity, but understanding the visa requirements and application process is crucial for a smooth journey. Here’s a detailed discussion on Canada’s visit or tourist visa, covering everything from eligibility to the application process.

1. Overview of the Canada Visit/Tourist Visa
A Canada visit or tourist visa, formally known as a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), permits foreign nationals to enter Canada for short stays. This visa is suitable for those visiting for tourism, to see family or friends, or for business-related activities. Depending on your nationality, obtaining this visa might be a necessary step before you can travel to Canada.

2. Types of Visit/Tourist Visas
Single Entry Visa: This visa allows one-time entry into Canada. After leaving, you must apply for a new visa if you wish to return.
Multiple Entry Visa: This visa enables multiple entries into Canada during its validity period. It’s ideal for travelers who plan to visit Canada more than once within the visa's duration.
3. Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for a Canada visit visa, applicants must:

Demonstrate Purpose of Visit: Provide a clear reason for your visit, whether it’s tourism, visiting family or friends, or attending a conference.
Show Financial Capability: Prove that you have enough funds to cover your stay in Canada, including expenses for travel, accommodation, and daily living.
Establish Strong Ties to Home Country: Exhibit evidence of strong ties to your home country, such as employment, property ownership, or family commitments, to assure the Canadian authorities that you will return after your visit.
Be in Good Health: Depending on your country of residence and the length of your stay, you may need to undergo a medical examination.
Have a Clean Criminal Record: Ensure that you have no criminal record. In some cases, a police clearance certificate might be required.
4. Application Process
Determine Visa Type: Decide whether you need a single-entry or multiple-entry visa based on your travel needs.
Prepare Documents: Gather necessary documents, including your passport, completed application forms, proof of financial stability, travel itinerary, and additional documents as required.
Submit Application: Apply online through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website or submit a paper application at a Canadian embassy or consulate.
Pay Fees: Pay the applicable visa processing fee, which varies by visa type and nationality.
Attend Biometrics Appointment: If requested, attend a biometrics appointment to provide fingerprints and photographs.
Wait for Processing: The processing time for a visit visa can vary. It’s essential to apply well in advance of your planned travel dates to avoid delays.
5. Common Issues and Tips
Incomplete Applications: Ensure all forms are filled out correctly and all required documents are provided. Incomplete applications can lead to delays or rejections.
Visa Refusals: If your visa application is refused, you can appeal or reapply with additional documentation or clarification.
Travel Insurance: While not a visa requirement, consider purchasing travel insurance for added protection during your stay in Canada.

A friend is a friend and not your family member, so an invitation letter, passport, and other documents are good enough. The visa officer will consider other factors like your ties to your home country, your property, proof of funds, work, travel experience if any, and family to assess your eligibility for a visit visa.

My people there's an argument going on here I would like to hear y'all input, let's say you owe first bank 50k. And you submit let's say A Union bank statement of account for your visa application, does the money you owe first bank affect your visa application in anyway?

Thank you for your swift response.🙏🏽

Please can the email she sent to me inviting me over suffice as a proof of relationship? Or I should just click on No proof of relationship jejely

Note: the email is different from the invite letter

I really don’t want to make a mistake on the application

Thanks a lot thou it seems that am asking so much question. Please don't be offended because I will be asking till I got all info needed. Lol. In this new portal, there is no column to upload some vital documents like my travel history, marriage certificate, my landed properties, passport photograph. There is a place my employment letter is required. Should I upload my business documents since I am self employed business man

The email she sent you with the invitation letter, a copy of her Canadian ID, and other documents is enough to prove a friendship invitation

No, it will not affect your visa application because visa officers deal only with the bank statement you present during your visa application, and they are not bank or loan agency that runs a credit check on you.
