Tinubu was a senator fighting for his senatorial seat and the perks that came with that position. It's like an Akpabio or any of the other rogues in the senate today fighting a military government and we'd say they're going on it because they're fighting for the average Nigerian and not their self-interests.

Tinubu was a grifter fighting for the perks of being a senator, when it became clear that Abacha was going to be seat-tight, he sought an appointment, and when that too failed, he hopped on the next best thing, NADECO, and in the years post Abacha has more than reaped the rewards of his grift.

Like Obi was a grifter who went to Supreme court to fight for the perks that came with position of president

right now - all i will say is you are projecting the reality of Peter Obi unto bola tinubu

it is what it is

That will explain why Obi was shedding tears with mucus on National TV because he missed those perks

Abacha appointed Peter Obi to head Tin Can. I believe you know exactly what that means.

Same Abacha threw Tinubu in jail for charges that carried death penalty.

If you're going to mention beneficiaries of corruption in that regime, I cant see Tinubu near the top of that list, unlike Obi.

grin grin

Lmao.
So Abiola's son is lying abi?

I asked you a very simple question

Tinubu was Abiola's boy.

IBB's last action as head of state was to appoint Interim National Government with Ernest Shonekan as President. Ernest Shonekan appointed Abiola as Vice President which he was happy to manage until Abacha ran his own coup and chased everybody out.

That's why i asked you what tbe timeline was?

Why would Tinubu not go his boss, the Vice President of the country and ask him to be commissioner?

Or, why would Kola Abiola be present at a meeting between the man who literally deposed his father as Vice President, and a former senator who came to beg for commissioner of lagos when FCT was the capital?

Tinubu didn't go to Dipo Diya who would later be targeted by the same Abacha for treason. He went direct to Abacha in Abuja to ask for commissioner post in Lagos, and Kola just happened to be around the guy that threw his father in jail?

Is that what you're telling me happened? grin

But the same Abiola's son is saying Tinubu betrayed his father by going to beg Abacha for appointment.

And please no need to let me know you hate tinubu.
I nor see the importance.
Only you also said a senator in the federal republic of Nigeria in the 90s didn't have any perks.
Come of it jnr

What were the perks na?

What perks were senators getting in a hostile semi-military regime that lasted less than a year?

You should be the one telling us

You should explain to me what Kola was doing around the man that jailed his father. Kola's father died in jail btw.

So my simple question to you is how Kola came about this information, and when, especially because Tinubu and Kolas dad were arrested same month by the same guy.

If you cannot tell me how Kola happened to be in the Villa, then maybe you should rest.

Are you referring to this?

I am surprised at this revelation.
Kola Abiola the first son of Abiola accused Tinubu of betraying his father?
Of course, I think Kola Abiola's younger brother alluded to same too.

Is kola Abiola George Washington?

As in...what a silly question.

So Tinubu would risk his life to be a commissioner grin grin grin

Tinubu was part of the same NADECO as Kudirat, so its not as if Kola isn't aware first hand of how deadly that regime was, because his family felt it first hand.

And so Tinubu would go through all of that because he wanted fo deputise Olagunsoye? The guy who allegedly organised Kudirat's murder?

Like what in the wtf am I even reading? grin

I went to see my cousin today and he told me how he has issues with his Benin friend (female) grin
I think it has to do with one statement Oba made on protest on something and he said something about her Oba.
Madam started insulting him that he doesn’t have respect and if Oba is his mate… He then asked her if the Tinubu she’s been insulting is her mate grin

That’s the danger of being a fanatic…. I can’t even enter naija twitter cos it’s too toxic.
Obi is even trying to run away from his followers at this point.

Abuse of public office for personal gain didn't start in 1999, no dey ask me this kin question. Maybe it was salary that made Tinubu as rich as he became post 1999.

Na so your friend lose mentorship opportunity

Na so one of my guys sef go dey argue Israel vs hamas, Tinubu vs Obi with his mentee. Come dey lose valuable mentees
I have lost count the number of times people have tried to drag me into Naija politics matter and I simply tell them the voters in Nigeria will decide.
Na so politics be, you will insult Tinubu but vex when they insult your faves.

Some days ago, Fisayo Soyombo was insulting Tokunbo Wahab for sending condolence messages to Anambra flood victims the same type of messages Obi sends daily to every disaster and he doesnt complain

Leave salary, Senators don't make their money from salary, they are all allocated contracts (through front men), and also collect egunje to pass laws

If na game matter, I too respect Tinubu. He's played the game and has gotten the reward over the years. While his mates in NADECO were doing the activism thing with emotions, baba was inserting himself in a way that would see him reap the rewards thereafter.

E just dey surprising seeing people this far gone having true belief in what was a grift for Tinubu all along...I sure the man go come online see comments from e fans dey laugh cheesy cheesy cheesy...very evil genius.

Not everybody that did NADECO did it for altruistic reasons, same applies to #OccupyNigeria, #EndSARS, Obidients and every other movement.
