Was riding the eurusd short caught it very early and took out one of my position at 2r and left the other position heading for 3r and took the second position to break even only for me to take a slight break from work to check the chart and found out that the bulls have went straight to my stop loss and taking me out I felt like crying even though it is demo I felt really bad I think I need to start developing my own system and exit strategy

Install myfxbook from your store app.

Go to calender and set the it to high impact news only.

Check it daily for important news like Non farm payroll, interest rate change, trade balance etc.

It's normal, you're just on the wrong side of the news on that particular trade. It could have also gone your way and we wouldn't be having this conversation. It is what it is. But changing your trading style everytime you encounter a loss will make your path to profitability longer.

Just keep taking your trades and let the RR and probabilities play themselves out. If you want to change your style of entry or exit atleast, it shouldn't be made because of just one trade that didn't go as you planned.

Retracement of over 600pips in 2 hours? Wow, I've learnt something new today. When last did an all time high on gold to be precise sent price down that much in a day? Especially on a day that USD was supposed to be weak.

Left to me now, I don't even bother to understand all the reasons some trades failed, I just take my loss or profit and move to the next trade. I know I will always win more than I lose in the long run. No time to dey stress over analysis.

Trying to know all the ifs and whys trade failed isn't something I practise anymore. Price go always rubbish your technicals and fundamentals from time to time. I've learned to get used to them instead.

Gold may have started a bearish run. Looking for OTE

Yes, I think the same thing, you don’t need to bother much about fundamental analysis that much if you’re trading short TF. But make sure you’re nifty with your TP and BE when there is big news coming.
That is how I long USD wholesale this week and still came on profitable.

Today was so funny I just decide to sell gold in nfp and poom trade went against me, in my challenge account losing over 200pips in few minutes.

It was so funny when I opened my trading view around 4pm and saw the f.c.ke.r y that just happened on gold after initially zooming up after the NFP release.

I was like, anybody that entered this trade after news must have definitely be caught by the b.alls because there's no way you'd wanna short such a move fuelled by NFP, and when you also see EU and GU rising at the same time. You'd actually think 2500 will be breached lol.
