The 50k plan is still unlimited. The 40gb is just priority data. You can also check a close available location within 25km your location.

What speeds do you get in the evenings? Specifically 6-11PM.
I'm always on 250-350 anytime of the day. Unless there's an overcast or heavy rain

You probably live outside of Lagos and Abuja, because there's no way you can get that speed in Abuja that I am, except after midnight.

The 50k means priority data, after you cross 40gb, it will continue working as it is unlimited but the speed may drop to 65mbps to 100mps

Check the threads from page 60.

There is a fix for congested locations
Sommyroy10:
Good afternoon, bosses.
I would like to make an inquiry about purchasing my Starlink. I am looking to purchase Starlink. Is there a way I can pay 38k per month since my location (Ikorodu, Lagos) is filled? Also, in the event of my relocation, how do I go about it? Do I still need to start changing the location for my Starlink? Forgive my novice questions. If this has been addressed before, kindly point me in the right direction.

An update, I reached out to Support and they were able to make the residential plan work for me.

Hello, can I know how long it took for support to respond to you and fix your issue. I am a new subscriber and my only options seem to be the residential plan (which is full) and the mobile priority plans (which are ridiculously expensive and also might not even work for me).

Roughly 1m will give you 247 power with such arrangement. That includes other appliances especially during the day time when your solar is fully charged. From 4pm you can get roughly 10 to 12hrs of power depending on your usage before dawn.
did you say 1m what setup is that. I'm interested in that.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Ayomipoe(m): 1:16am On Aug 03
2.5KWH Lithium battery + 2kva Hybrid inverter should fit that budget.

My current setup is 1.5KwH + 1kva SMS Hybrid and my load is typically on battery with my Starlink. + TV + Fan and lightning points about 260W. It lasts about 7 hours. There's mostly always electricity from the grid 15 plus hours, my setup is more like a UPS.

ok..

i tried something during activation.. in my place of resident, if i use my kit no with my address in my neighourbood i would only see the 50k plan. but if i choose my state the residential plan will come out.. for example my street is

giwa-amu road, warri, Delta, nigeria... this will give me 50k plan

if i choose Delta state, Nigeria... i would end up with the 38k residential plan

what are your opinions guys

Maybe choose your state and activate residential. After activating residential, change the address after some time to your location. You should still be on residential plan after changing it.

Abuja is choked too. In fact, the only time of the day I get up to 150Mbps to 200+Mbps is after midnight, even with 3rd party router. 100Mbps is a herculean task to achieve during the day.

The only people really enjoying Starlink in Nigeria these days are those who live outside of Abuja, Lagos and Kano.
I live in a bush alone in lonely northern forest. I get 380-395mbps

Nope.

I was on the mobile regional plan that was just discontinued.

Discontinued?
That's what I'm using. Subbed last week. Just checked their site and they selling roam in Nigeria cheaper for 300k with 50k monthly. It's not discontinued.
You lucky though they moved you to residential.

If your service address is in a place that is filled up, mostly Lagos and Abuja, you won't see residential as an option. Till you change the service address out of those places. And if you don't live in your new service address, your starlink won't work

i think the fast is giving the accurate result. Opening Nairaland with Starlink is a hassle today o. i have restarted both Starlink and the router and the browsing speed is still slow.
