Elite season 8 is a solid 3/10 for me. A franchise that started as one of the most watched and most famous teen series on a very high note was destroyed and completely ruined to pieces. To make matters worst, this new season 8 ended up being the worst season so far, to the extent that i fast forwarded almost 80% of the scenes because they were out of point and makes no Sense. It's a total shame on how this franchise ended and i am sure the actors and actresses from season 1 to 4 will be so disappointed that the work they gave to this franchise was followed up by miserable seasons. The writers fell off completely bad, they had no clue or idea what to write again and i wonder why they didn't just end the franchise in season 4 or 5. |

joseph1832: That project was shelved at the last minute. THE LONG NIGHT was supposed to premiere before HOTD. It was cancelled after HBO already casted actors, shot and edited the pilot episode for $30mn in 2021. There's little to no material for that adaptation about the Night King except the few details given in the books. It mainly required the writers and showrunnners to largely create their characters and universe almost from scratch. It was too much work especially when you take into consideration how fickle GOT fans can be when things don't always follow the source material. So, HOTD was given the go ahead as the first spin-off show. I'd have loved to see the pilot episode of BLOOD MOON tho. Of course, HBO is never releasing it. As for me, I'm really happy. Always thought HBO underappreciated the goldmine they got their hands on. I remember saying one time that HBO could create over 10 shows at once from the GOT universe and peeps thought I was exaggerating. The universe is that VAST. My faves from this are AEGON'S CONQUEST. 10,000 SHIPS holds more promise. And GOLDEN EMPIRE OF YI TI brings a unique experience in the animation fare and more freedom with production quality, budget and pressure. I'd really like if the third live action is ROBERT'S REBELLION or preferably the BLACKFYRE REBELLION. They're the ones closest to the main show Game of Thrones in storylines and characters. 1 Like 1 Share |
