House of the dragon season 2 is a solid 3/10 for me. Possible spoilers alert. This season ended for me on a disappointing note after a worthy episode 7, they just had to spoil everything again. You cannot have us waiting for two years since season one, only to pack so many fillers in anticipating for a grand war only to end up not giving us the war and then hoping we will wait for an extra two years again to see a war we have been waiting for. Which mean we will have to wait for four years to finally see a war we have been waiting for. A child that started JSS1 last two years will be in SS1 two years from now which will make it four years. Nah!!!! we can't take this rubbish and time wasting from the makers of house of dragons, time is of the essence and we ain't getting any younger to waste four years in waiting for a war. Other adventure fantasy series like vikings, kingdom, vikings Valhalla, rings of power, the wheels of TIME and many more, all gave us satisfying battles, fights only in their season 1 but house of the dragons expected us to wait for four years. Nah this is rubbish and the highest nonsense of the entertainment industry. 8 Likes 1 Share |

House of the Dragon season 2........6/10 An underwhelming finale to an underwhelming season. "If filler was a season" is the best way to describe this season. The entire season could be summed up in a single email or text message... Season 1 ended to a build up to a war... Season 2 wasted 8 episodes still building up to the same war... I finished the finale and I was like - "that's it?" Even this finale had so much time wasted on pointless stuff. They spent so much time with Tyland Lannister forming a bond with Lohar that I began to wonder what was the point? Who cares if she wants his babies? This is not the sort of "fûcked up stuff" we wanted in the finale. It reminded me of The Boys season 4 filler events. One point that bothers me the most is Alicent. I don't want to conclude yet on Alicent because I'm not convinced of her game plan yet. If I am to believe what she said on screen, it will be an utter character assassination. I kept waiting for a smirk or something to allude that she has other plans and did not just choose to sacrifice her family and her son... So I will put that on hold hoping that some kind of reveal of an Alicent masterplan is shown next season. The show seems so dedicated to portray Alicent and Rhaenyra as innocent but slightly corrupted souls who are some sort of pacifists that value human life above all else... It comes off as lazy character writing to see Rhaenyra being so deluded to be expecting her enemies to surrender just because she has more dragons... What happened to Rhaenyra's rage at the end of season one? Why is this show so insistent on making the two main females pacifists while the men crave bloodshed? Helaena smiling at her son's killer. I've forgotten the baby's name, I guess Helaena and the writers forgot too. Even Rhaenyra and Alicent forgot too since Rhaenyra said - "a son for a son". A baby doesn't count as a son I guess...or is it grandson? Let's not even talk about how Daemon was wasted all season hallucinating in Harrenhal. His issues were finally resolved with some magical vision?? Well... And the way characters somehow travel from place to place in the blink of an eye. The excuse they'd use is dragons. But not everyone has a dragon. This show is mastering Game of Thrones season 8 levels of teleportation. (Teleportation not the writing in general) Overall a disappointing season with no payoffs. The writing has been all over the place this season with only about 2 good episodes to boast of. And now we have to wait at least 2 years for a third season. 3 Likes 1 Share

Miggs: Weirdly I never completed this anime. I enjoyed it but I got extremely busy Midway and I couldn't watch any movie or series for a few weeks. It was tiring to return to it because it was a bit complicated and I would have to restart the entire thing to continue it |

HOTD season 2 ... At the end of the season, they teased us, showing us everybody all gearing up for war. But let me burst your bubble, we might never get to see the war in the next season. If words on the street about the series getting to a season 4 are true, then don't expect any improvement with the next season. But omo!! the filler episodes and characters in this series is what should be studied by playwrights at the university. The beginning, mid part(sometimes) and the last 5 minutes to the end of every episode are always very good, then the rest are filled with fillers. If the series had employed the Game of thrones style of writing were we had multiple story arcs being told simultaneously, it would have been much more better.... well i guess they are sticking strictly to books. Well I wouldn't rate season 2, because it was obviously a disappointment. They too, know they all fu..cked up with this one, so rating this season is akin to hitting someone who's already down. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Better rein in your expectations, because of the introduction of dragons, many of you have forgotten that GOT/HOTD is majorly more drama than action. You might not even see the so called full blown war next season 1 Like |

Dhanerys in the games of thrones burnt down king's landing because the head of her best friend was chopped off. Rhaenery of house of dragons was sueing for peace even after her son was killed. The irony of the two bloodline. House of the dragons turned Rhaenery into some weak, depressed, annoying tomato with no balls, no action, no nothing at all and they wasted Daemond's character all through season 2 that he didn't even raise his sword to strike someone in the entire season 2. Emilia Clarke (Dhanerys) will be wondering why they had to portray her ancestors to be actionless in the season 2 of house of the dragons. Emilia Clarke (Dhanerys) of the games of thrones was ruthless and unforgiven. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Gone are the days when series makers went straight to the point to give us what we wanted. House of dragon season 2 could have given us proper battle of the dance of the dragons and then season 3 of the short reign of Rhaenery. This whole franchise could have ended in 4 seasons but No, they ought to milk and milk and milk this franchise with unnecessary fillers that i am sure we won't even see the first battle till ending of season 4. Sometimes in life, quality is better than quantity. A good four or 3 season is better than 6 to 7 seasons of fillers. I do wonder if indeed they really uses the big budgeted money for the series or it's their own indirect ways of money laundering. 9 Likes |

lol Ned Stark's Head was already off and the threat of the White Walkers was already well and truly established by the end of S1 because ain't no way people are comparing GOT to the horrendous pacing of HOTD. A well versed writers room would have had HOTD almost finished by the end of this S2. I most likely think these tease they have done for S1 and S2 is to unnecessarily elongate the show for relevance and financial gain. But alas it seems they have forgotten that the attention span of the world that saw GOT in 2011, it's incredibly shorter than those that are seeing HOTD today. The world is moving at an incredible pace, i basically can't even keep up with events that even happened like 2 weeks ago, as other events has toppled them for relevance. For context, i recently animated a social media publicity post for a brand that was about 4 minutes long, the publicity team rejected it, not because it wasn't good enough but they felt 4 minutes was too long!, and that if i hadn't passed my message by the 2nd 60 seconds at most, the message is lost because the tik tok syndrome has been found to be real, and people's attention span has been wrecked by it. Point being, with all this unnecessary tease and dilly dally, HOTD did in this S2, which is now basically 17 episodes that covers only like 22% of the books, so let's see if it holds enough relevance for people to be genuinely interested in it, in probably 2 years time when they return. I actually think people who haven't read the book would have even gone through the pain to read it between that time and just be done with it. Most people has either read the books or have had idea of the excerpt of the books, there was no need to be 100% faithful to the actual book!, like the whole Demon and Harrenhal shindig could have been over in an episode or 2, if the showrunners were serious, they let it dragged on all season, when it was so obvious that this brother was gonna bend the knee. The hate and disgust for that season finale was loud and clear, so if the showrunners like, they should not have sense and keep teasing till thy kingdom come! 😤 5 Likes 1 Share

HOTD S2 and The Boys S4 My two most anticipated series of year, both ended in disappointment So much build up and zero payoff They used a whole season as a teaser for the next season Rhaenyra and Alicent were robots this season. They barely make things happen, things happen around them and they waste time talking about it or reacting to it. Let me give you a summary of what Rhaenyra achieved in season 2 as the main character. - Mourns her son - Demands revenge - Fails to specify or discuss how to get revenge, rather she leaves that responsibility to Daemon. - Daemon kills a child and Rhaenyra scolds him and sends him away to Harenhal. - Gets undermined by her small council for good reason. - Complains that her small council does not fully trust her or believe in her. Despite the fact that she didn't bring ideas to the table. The small council were mostly the ones coming up with suggestions. - Stupidly goes to King's Landing to speak with Alicent and sue for peace. - She finally got a big win this season with the addition of 3 new dragon riders. But do you know the funny thing? The idea to recruit new dragon riders was not even hers to begin with. It was her son's idea and Myssaria (whatever her name is) was the one that suggested recruiting Targeryen bastards from King's Landing. - And she caused a riot with the small folk in King's Landing, Myssaria's idea once again. This is all Rhaenyra could achieve this season. Without Jace and Myssaria, she would have been lost. Let me not even talk about Alicent Hightower. That one has been relegated to side character and it seems like she has accepted her uselessness. You can hate Aemond and Aegon all you want but I enjoyed watching them this season more than Rhaenyra and Alicent. Aemond is a man of action. He doesn't sit around complaining. He kept Rhaenyra under constant pressure, he put himself out there and he got results. Aegon may not be as smart as his brother but he made some bold moves this season. Sacking Otto Hightower was a huge suprise and recklessly flying into battle, he may be stupid but you have to admit that guy has balls. Daemon was a passenger this season. The Harenhal sub-plots was essential for his character development but it took too long and it was very boring. Corlys Velaryon is the most useless hand of the king I have ever seen. If he doesn't come back in season 3, I bet you no one will miss him. He didn't help Rhaenyra at all. He's just a shadow. This season has been a big disappointment. I hope all that buildup is worth it in season 3 cuz if not, what's the point? 7 Likes 1 Share |

abduleez1: I think seasons 3 and 4 should be good... From what I heard, there is still quite a lot of source material to cover because it has been placed slowly in season 2. So the next 2 seasons will likely be nonstop war... But I don't have much faith in the writing nevertheless...this season's writing has been disappointing and there's no guarantee it would improve... At least the pace should I guess |

1. Helaena wins mother of the month for forgetting that Daemon ordered the beheading of her son Jaehaerys. (Daemon is sworn to Rhaenyra so no excuse would fly here) 2. Alicent from season 1 would actually do anything to protect her children. Now she is selling them out and accepting the murder of her children. She also somehow forgot her grandson Jaehaerys existed and he doesn't count in "a son for a son" 3. The writers telling us House of the Dragon is about the Rhaenyra and Alicent ship. Forgive me for not understanding before that House of the Dragon is about "two women trying to figure it out" 1 Like 1 Share

Niok: Before the excuse was the audience was hômophobic. Now the excuse is that the audience only wanted fights. Why not just admit it was a bad way to end a season? What about the complaints of the character assassination of Helaena and Alicent? Why won't you address that since you want to defend it? Why won't you address the fact that 1/3 of the episode was wasted on a Tyland adventure and his mud Fight 4 Likes 1 Share |

People complaining about HOTD and shows like Shogun because there were no big fights clearly lack taste. Politics is always an important part of warmongering. If you want to watch endless gbas gbos from begining to the end, go watch John Wick or something. Game of thrones felt pretty slow too till we got the Battle of the Blackwater Bay. They didn't even give us the Battle of Whispering Wood. You guys should relax. Now that The Blacks have a land fighting force, we should have enough battles in season 3 7 Likes |
