One thing Kwankwanso has is the devout and religious followership in Kano. He won the governorship there in 2023, He actually won in 2019 too but Ganduje did magic for him in the runoff

As long as Kwankwanso contests for presidency, those almost 1m anti APC votes will still go to him instead of Atiku, possibly more since his boy is governor
Kwankwaso's popularity in Kano would be put to the test by his bicycle-sharing protege...PDP and APC are eyeing the state seriously, and they'd magnify every mistake from the governor there.

I don't think the red capos would be as powerful come 2027, and his 1m votes was a major reality check to whatever delusion was driving the movement.

PDP is automatically a Northern party in 2027..

That's the only place the North can use to reclaim whatever mandate they think they lost.

2027 is still a lot of time. A whole lot to even make Nigerians love Tinubu sef

PDP will spend the remaining 3 years fighting, it never fails. Post election, what has PDP done to show us any sense of unity in purpose. What exactly have they done to show they learnt any lesson and can be on the same page? Nothing....The party is still massively divided with influential chieftains across the country choosing to abstain from mainstream politics. 2027 is a long ways but historically, PDP have never taken advantage of opportunities post Jonathan and I don't see that changing. This is always going to be an advantage APC exploits.

I don’t know why y’all getting unnecessarily excited/emotional about what Atiku said or is saying now.

Like someone pointed out in the comment section of that tweet segedinho shared ; when it mattered the most Atiku lost his voice. When he ought to have spoken against mob action that led to the death of Deborah ; Alhaji Mikano folded .

All this one he’s now saying is just politics . He is just entertaining his audience (which it appears u have just subscribed to be part of grin). Suddenly Atiku’s brand of Islam allows for protest , but does not speak against mob action for apostasy ? 🤷‍♂️

I think the PDP is slowly putting its act together sha, I hear Ortom was suspended. Fubara is making serious play for the leadership in Rivers, and I'm sure PDP will dispense justice to the rebel G5 governors from the SE without much drama...the disciplinary move regarding Makinde remains to be seen.

Well to do Hausas do not like western education. They look for alternatives. That is why so many of them were in the Sudan university.

And please what is the alternatives to the western education Sir? Skills? Are they not also western.

Please this your opinion does not hold (presently), maybe it hold before. You might have been in the north for a while or so. But northerners especially the well to do patronize western education. Around me na northerners and I know how much stride they have made without making noise. if they no send western education, I no go see those wey benefit from western scholarship or uk technation or those who went to canada via the express entry and skill route or middle class sponsoring their kid to uk. You might say it is not the ultimate achievement to them which I will agree.

Abeg some of the opinion we hold about the north no too hold abeg.

P.S: The thing is this: the 'boko haram' stuff wasn't about the context of the 'boko' rather the initial agitation their late leader had was on the means through which the learning was taking place. Everybody knows that Islam frown on free mixing between both sex. Their late leader was advised by clerics that his intended violence approach was not it rather, other ways of achieving the same boko should be initiated which was why the clamour for islamic university started springing up so that, there will be segregation between both sex. The killing of their late leader made the movement to be something else which is part of why I think they still fault the govt as they believe na the govt made am reach like this.

The fact that the G5 still exists post elections is enough evidence to buttress my position that PDP is unserious. As much as I like Fubara, he is yet to establish the level of influence that balances the scales for PDP in Rivers state and SS as a region. If he wins a 2nd term, then that would change everything. In Imo state, infighting cost them the Governorship and it is still ongoing. As far as the North goes, it would take hard politicking which APC and Asiwaju are great at to get the numbers they need. So where does that leave PDP? Same place where they were the last time we saw them.

what is the population of the north
how many of that population partake in western education

the fact that some muslim northerners go to school does not mean a significant percentage of northerners go to school
what you have is what i have described before
feudalism where 95% of the population is living as peasants, 4% are the bourgeois, and 1% are the dangotes

anecodatal stories of educated northerners are not going to change the actual statistics
and it is those numbers that have now come home to roost

there is now an almajiri to bandit pipeline - and this means the north may never know peace for the next 100 years

It's practically impossible to develop accent as an adult, the vocal chords are fully formed by then...those 1 month accent people na acting, but they say having the oynbo accent helps you not stick out like a sore thumb which in turn helps with upward mobility.
