Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has expressed concern about the current economic situation in Nigeria.

In a post on his Instagram page, the Yoruba actor who was a strong supporter of Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, raised questions about the existence and effectiveness of price control and regulatory agencies in the country, seeking clarification on measures to mitigate the impact of inflation

The actor highlights the need for measures to address the rising prices impacting individuals and businesses in the country, stating that the situation is already getting out of control.

“Do we have a functional price control or piece regulatory agency in Nigeria? How do we cushion the effects of inflation? Because things are getting out of hand” he wrote

Before u do that, remember that because I support Obi does not mean I should keep quayet when he start misbehaving like he did in Anambra.

If u dont have a better talk then don't bother to quote me cus I will only see u as a programmed Osu or Ewu( whichever one that is prevalent in ur clan)

I don't know how they expect someone who only promised agbado and cassava as his economic recovery plan to manage the nation's economy well. it seems now that Saidi Balogun is no longer getting movie roles to play, is brain is now gradually resetting. I remember how he was all over everywhere campaigning for this government then

Actually there should be price control on commodities- Osibanjo tried to implement this when Buhari had health challenges but abolished when Buhari recovered- Market Lords fix their price & sell, wholesalers same and retailer as well sell at will which is soo wrong- There’s supposed to be an active fixated agency for this

Price control?

See him trying to pitch the blame on sellers when his Lord is the one that caused the crazy inflations with his failed economic policies that he keeps bragging about.

The government cannot or even have the right to control price of manufacturers or wholesalers when the same government did not subsidize any part of their production or supply chain......the market naturally controls itself when cost of production or supply is on the minimum and stable....

There are countries where there is subsidy on flour, cotton, wheat, eggs, milk, ...all these things help government put a leash on manufacturers so that end users won't feel the heat...

But in Nigeria.... we want to eat our cake and still keep it ......we remove all existing subsidies, fuel, currency, electricity, etc.all the things that keep production & supply prices on the low.. yet we want to talk about price control.... It's fvnny

Will u force a manufacturer to sell rice for 30k per bag when production, staff, taxes and transportation cost is already 70k per bag

It's funny

My SUFFERISTICATED Brothers!!!

Southern Naija is a just a bunch of messy Gooo!!!

The North Used a whole Cardinal point(NORTH) to describe their region that has a unified language(HAUSA) while they used the same whole cardinal(SOUTH) to describe a region that has no unified language with different traditions.... Its apalling!!

This tactics of divide and rule has being in since time immemorial. No wonder the south cannot agree on a particular ish while the North can come together and unite to foster a particular goal.

Nigeria needs to sewaaa so that everybody go go him papa house.

Lol. The tinubu supporter is asking for price control after removing fuel subsidy. When government remove fuel subsidy they have to moral right to control pricing. What Nigeria is witnessing today is the market Force.

A journey of 20k fuel before now is now about 85k. If John is using fuel 15k to work every month before, he is now using 85k. If John is feeding with 40k in a month before, he is now feeding with 220k even with cutting cost. If John is paying shop rent 200k before, now he is paying 400k rent.

All this money he is spending would be factor into his business, service. Everyone is adjusting daily to new reality is the reason price keep getting spiral. My favorite restaurant just added 500 naira to there plate of food just last week here. Imagine 500 just like that, a plate of Food of 2100 is now 2600. While a plate of food of 1200 is now 1700 , the same portion nothing changes I don't need to argue because I know people adjust price to reflect the new realities. Today I was told egg is now 200 I don't need to argue.

It's what it is.

Things are already out of hand completely Mr balogun

I expect you call out Mr bulaba instead of asking for price regulatory agencies, because it was his wicked economic policies decisions that put us where we are today, coupled with his failure to ensure security, especially in rural areas where plenty farmers have been killed and plenty more displaced

After supporting this failure, now you couldn't call him out for his failures.

You talking about price control agency.
Are all agencies not under the watch of the drug lord?

Shame all all tinubu supporters!!
