If you live in a state that is already saturated with Starlink, whether you live in a forest or not, it won't matter.

If you live in states like Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto for instance, you would be getting crazy speeds, given all other conditions are okay.

I'm in Lagos, and all I had to do was raise a support ticket.

Babatunde360:
How did you get them to put you on the Residential plan?, are you in Lagos?
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Loneley: 10:22pm On Aug 05
Starlink speed in general?

Or the speed difference between both plans?

If it's the latter, I didn't notice much difference, to be honest.

It's still arguably the best, unlimited, internet service you can get.

Minus the upload speed.

Sommyroy10:
what's your speed like, plan on getting one. Is it still worth it?
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Loneley: 10:24pm On Aug 05
It took days after my initial message.

Say about 4 days or so.

Elbuzi:

Hello, can I know how long it took for support to respond to you and fix your issue. I am a new subscriber and my only options seem to be the residential plan (which is full) and the mobile priority plans (which are ridiculously expensive and also might not even work for me).
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by Loneley: 10:26pm On Aug 05
Oh wow.

They probably brought it back then.

Good news for everyone who had the same challenge I did.

ask4bk:

Discontinued?
That's what I'm using. Subbed last week. Just checked their site and they selling roam in Nigeria cheaper for 300k with 50k monthly. It's not discontinued.
You lucky though they moved you to residential.

i think the fast is giving the accurate result. Opening Nairaland with Starlink is a hassle today o. i have restarted both Starlink and the router and the browsing speed is still slow.

Seems there was issues yesterday, or Nigeria government is the cause

Mine too did this some weeks back. Check out side to see if there are no visible obstructions. Then keep rebooting.

good evening guys, I can't find Starlink on Konga or Jumia, it's only available on a third-party store selling for over 500k, is that the current price or I am not looking properly?

How about starlink.com?

I have read on this thread that it take weeks to deliver from starlink.com and in addition, I don't only have Kuda, OPAY and GEEGPAY as my Bank. So I don't know if cards from these Fintech can be able to institute payment.

Oh that's nice then. So I saw 450k+ as the final charge, is that the exact amount that'll be taken from my account or it'll be 450k+ / current USD rate?
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by SourYoghurt: 6:50pm On Aug 07
lastly, if for a month, I choose not to use it and I didn't "terminate" the service, will the 38k be added.

For instance, if I choose to subscribe in September but decide not to renew it in October and November, then I decide to renew in December, will I have to pay the two months I didn't subscribe and didn't use or like Nigerian ISP, whenever I pay, I use?

Try the card you have, it just might work. GTB naira MasterCard stopped working for sometime. However, recently someone suggested to make payment or order using the desktop version of chrome. Surprisingly, I was able to use same GTB naira MasterCard to make payment via Chrome on my PC. So, try that.

If you don't cancel your service and allow it to be running, yes, you would have to pay.

I got my STARLINK today. I just wanna ask; how do you all hang your router?. 2. Do you have DIY ideas to install the dish?

3. What are the options to power the router when there is a power outage?

Get a welder to make a long pole with base that you'll use to connect dishy to with nuts. Then mount in the highest point in your house, free of obstructions. If you have a tall tank stand, mount it on top. Then run the wires and place the router in a central location in your house. Setup and enjoy.
If you're an enthusiast and wants to make 100% use of your gadget, get the ethernet adapter and buy a third party router, then bypass and fire on.

Didn't know Starlink was this generous. My subscription expired for over 2 months, they attempted to renew for me but failed. They didn't cut my service for these two months. I just credited the account some days back and renewed with 76k for the two months. I had thought upon expiration my service would be yanked off immediately
Abeg chief which card did you use?
