I would rather chew molten lava than expect anything from this baldie fraudster who in reality has a touch of Steve McClaren with a little touch of Ian dowie.. Spiced with Paul Jewell.. While having Ole Gollumâs mentality. |

Omar Berrada in Man Utd programme for tomorrow's game: âWhen I was invited to join Manchester United late last year, I didnât hesitate. As a child growing up my first memory of the club was my father telling me stories of legendary players like Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and many others. "It is impossible not to be aware of the weight of history. From the tragedy of Munich to the triumph at Wembley 10 years later, I am honoured to be part of a place where overcoming the greatest adversities and rising again to the greatest glories is in our DNA." |

BREAKING! CEO Omar Berrada's FULL message to Man Utd fans ahead of the new season which begins tomorrow: âDear fans, âWelcome back to Old Trafford for our first Premier League match of the 2024/25 season. This is a particularly special occasion for me, as it marks my first game here as chief executive of this magnificent club. âYour support at Wembley was fantastic, where we just came up short in the Community Shield. We were disappointed not to win the game, but can take a lot of positives from it. âWhen I was invited to join Manchester United late last year, I didnât hesitate. As a child growing up my first memory of the club was my father telling me stories of legendary players like Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and many others. âIt is impossible not to be aware of the weight of history. From the tragedy of Munich to the triumph at Wembley 10 years later, I am honoured to be part of a place where overcoming the greatest adversities and rising again to the greatest glories is in our DNA âThat glorious history speaks for itself. When I walked through the doors for the first time last month, I was immediately struck by the enormity of the club and what it means to our fans here in Manchester and all over the world. I think itâs impossible to understand how big Manchester United really is until youâre on the inside. Thatâs one advantage all of you have had over me, but Iâm catching up and I feel it more and more every day. It is a very easy place to fall in love with. âWe have had a busy summer so far, with transformation on and off the pitch. We welcome Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui to the club; four excellent talents with a bright future here. We are delighted that club captain, Bruno Fernandes, has put pen to paper and committed his future to United and Erik ten Hag has extended his contract on the back of our FA Cup success. Dan Ashworth has joined as Sporting Director and Jason Wilcox as Technical Director. We are building a strong and talented football structure to work with Erik and ensure that we are focused on long-term success. We are also looking to build a world-leading non-football leadership team, which I know will help us to thrive. âIt is an enormous privilege to be taking my seat alongside all of you; Iâve been anticipating this for months. There is no better way to begin than right here, under the floodlights, with the incredible atmosphere that this stadium is famous for. âI enjoyed spending time with our colleagues on the pre-season tour of the US, and I particularly enjoyed meeting so many of our American and travelling fans while we were there. We met with our new front-of-shirt partner Snapdragon at their home in San Diego and I was hugely impressed with how their market-leading technology will help us to perform. âWe are working hard to transform Carrington so that both our menâs and womenâs teams have access to outstanding training facilities. You will be aware we have appointed a joint task force to explore options for the future regeneration of the Old Trafford area with a world-class stadium at the heart of it. It is the right time for us to be moving forward with both projects and our owners and the management team are completely committed to them. âThis is an eventful time for the club. Everything we do has to help us to perform on the pitch and that is our number one priority. It is so important, particularly in times of change, that our bond with you supporters is closer than ever. This will continue to be an important priority for us. All of you must be central to everything we do. âI look forward to meeting many of you at Old Trafford and over the course of the season. This is your club. I promise that I will always remember that and treat it with the care, dedication and respect it deserves.â |

afrodoc2: .......even though some of us wanted ETH to go, but its damn obvious if we don't fix the structure, we ain't gonna achieve anything. LvG, Mourinho have managed the Club yet failed. Sir RR exposed the rotten at the club, CR7 corroborated it yet some folks still believe Ed and Mutourgh are doing great hence Structure ain't the problem. |

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 2:53pm On Aug 15 |
afrodoc2: Exactly. That time, the main argument was ETH in or OUT. And any arguments about putting a âstructureâ in place before deciding to sack ETH or not turns you into a ETH lover. With the way things are, I donât care a rats-ass if ETH goes or not. Weâve got a couple of football people in top positions now. What do you think of that tunnel rennovation? Even though the them is about the devil, I hope it puts the fear of God into the heart of opponents before they stepped onto the pitch. Surely, that must be part of the reason for THAT redesign? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 2:58pm On Aug 15 |
Leyqute: The main reason is to renovate and improve appearance of the stadium. I am not sure an adult footballer would be scared by the design. I just hope they extend the renovations all over the place. There are some suspicious looking staircases in that place, especially the North Stand. |

"The issues are there. But it's not about the players who are not available. Like I said last season, it's about the players who are available and we have a good group, we can make a strong selection, we can put out a strong team, so we will do. [De Ligt, Maguire and Mazraoui] will be in the squad." Erik Ten Hag |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 5:56pm On Aug 15 |
"I think he [Luke Shaw] will return in the short term, it doesn't take long. We are looking forward [to that] of course, Luke Shaw is a very important player for our team. He is massively important so we want to get him back as soon as possible but we can't force this process." - Erik Ten Hag |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 5:57pm On Aug 15 |
"I think he [Mazraoui] is a player who is quite difficult to put under pressure. I think especially in English football, that can be very beneficial. There is always pressure on the ball and this is a player who one of his key attributes is that it's very difficult to put him under pressure because he finds often solutions." - Erik Ten Hag |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 5:59pm On Aug 15 |
"We can sort problems on the left side with, for instance, Licha Martinez, with Diogo Dalot, he [Mazraoui] is capable of playing there. With Mazraoui, we have an additional one who can fill in that position as long as Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are not available." - Erik Ten Hag |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 6:00pm On Aug 15 |
"We are complete and we are now working together for, let's say, 10 days and always that will take a while. But more teams will have this problem. In the start of the season, don't drop points, work hard, make sure you are well organised in and out of possession - that gives you the best chance. But we will not [be] 100 per cent, 100 per cent form. But we have to go from game to game to improve, to get higher performance levels in the team and individual players, and we will see how quick we can go into this process." - Erik Ten Hag |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m): 6:02pm On Aug 15 |
"Not so different but we know our targets, we know we are in the right direction, we know we have won two trophies and we know our game model. So, now we have to integrate the new players where we think they can improve the game model, improve the team levels and we take it from there. I always have very high expectations but we want to go for trophies." - Erik Ten Hag |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 6:03pm On Aug 15 |
Oasis007: The problem right now is that if Dalot and Mazraoui both start, there is no senior full back (right or left) on the bench. I am suspecting Dalot, Maguire, de Ligt, Licha to start, with Evans and Mazraoui on the bench. |
