This is where Abba Kyari is very good at. I'm sure he will get the root of the kidnap whether self kidnapped or third party kidnapped

Satap I am a police it takes nothing to track them but if a police man died in the process, your type connive with Nigerian news papers will write POLICE DIED trying to collect bribe... Anytime Nigerians are ready we are ready but for now forget, police stations burnt down during the ENDSARS.... FG bought tracking machine for SSS and NIA but they did not buy for Police but we have expert who do the Job but Nigerians cannot be helped, tomorrow they will frame you...

What police? If the police functions, the kidnaps of people would be nipped in the bud. Even if the kidnappers succeeded in taking away their victim, a good police formation would trap them.

Reading these comments, I can see why we are where we are today

1. Govt insisted on SIM-NIN integration, some are still yet to do it
2. Govt clearly has a way to track phones now but the populace are still ignorant
3. Security agencies wont disclose what they are doing as this is not the best practice. I am sure they are on top of it.
4. Even in sane countries, you cannot eliminate crimes totally so why blame Tinubu/Shettima...blame the parents that failed in raising their children.
5. why would anyone still travel late or in high kidnap zones...what were they looking for? I pray they are rescued safe and sound.

Please don't travel at night. If you can avoid it, don't even travel. If you must, take multiple precautions.

since when does kidnappers leave smartphones with their victims and asking them to tweet.... if Nigeria was probably structured... the ip will just be tracked that's all
You guys are still refusing to understand this thing. Tracking is not the issue, the rescue mission gangan is the too-big a work for the Police or whoever to handle. If it's a harmless netizen now, posting about first lady or president, he would have been arrested. How? The tracking is easy with the telcos. They can pick out your location from anywhere but the Police are not ready to so their work.

Let me hear anyone that says Nigeria is the best place to live again maybe I won't kill someone.

Kidnapping for ransom is now the order of the day.

Imagine.

For the umpteenth time, what's the benefits of NIN-SIM linkage to the security if criminals can still use the same SIM cards to make calls or send messages without being tracked?

Our security agencies are highly compromised

Until you have your own state and local council police forces, this kind of stories of woes will not stop.

Someone quickly jumped up to say Tinubu and Shetima were failures. You're happy abusing them until when? You'd better wake up and denand that your governors and lawmakers get serious and gun for state and local council policing now.

For those wondering why the kidnappers left him with his phone; they only allowed him use the phone to post about the ransom collection. What he posted was 1st scrutinised, else he would have given info about their locations and other details that will aid security forces to rescue them.

The security forces know where they are bro.
